Boston's "Three Giants" were each more tense than the last, with Paul Pierce being the most nervous. Ray Allen glanced at him and silently moved a step to the side, not wanting to be splattered.
It was Kevin Garnett who showed true camaraderie by asking with concern, "You've already been to the restroom, right, Paul?"
As soon as he had walked into the locker room that day, he had seen Paul Pierce moving back and forth between the locker room and the restroom numerous times. Having been in contact with Paul Pierce for a year, he had come to understand that this guy gets the urge to poop whenever he gets nervous, completely unable to control it.
And these urges were continually reminding Pierce of that embarrassing encounter during last season's Eastern Conference Finals.
