This lizard, however, was a clever one. After dashing through the bush for several hundred meters, it realized it could not shake off Lai Yuejin's pursuit. Thus, it exerted force in its limbs, bouncing quickly from the ground to a large tree and began to climb upwards on the trunk.
Lai Yuejin certainly wasn't about to give it a chance to reach the top of the tree, because he couldn't stand idly by watching his prey slip away. He put down the iron cage and with his left palm, he struck at the trunk gripping the White-headed Lizard.
A fire snake more than a meter long burst from the palm of his hand and rushed towards the tree, and in the next second—buzz! When the fire snake hit the trunk, sparks flew in all directions.
The White-headed Lizard, frightened, quickly retreated and jumped down from the tree. Then, it dashed away towards the distance. It looked somewhat panicked, not understanding why a human hand could emit fire.
