In the beginning, Ning Wei managed to sit quietly between the two, listening to Chen Feng and Qin Zhen chatter in their hometown dialect.
Of course, she couldn't understand it.
It didn't take long before she began to feel annoyed, repeatedly covering her mouth with her hand to cough softly, turning her head to look around with frequent frowning, seemingly uneasy with the noisy environment.
Or one could say, disdainful.
Seeing this, Chen Feng checked his phone—it was almost 9:30 PM. It was admittedly early and truth be told, Chen Feng wanted to chat more with Qin Zhen, but his girlfriend had come specifically to be a "third wheel," wedged between the two men, which made him feel uncomfortable.
So, Chen Feng took the initiative to end the get-together, suggesting they meet up another time.
Qin Zhen, obviously aware of Ning Wei's presence and that it wouldn't be good to drink and chat freely, nodded in agreement.
