After Lucien declared that he will never stop using teeth, I stayed away from him as much as I could even though we had to have some conversations because we were with the kids. Amari kept on being the annoying friend she is, and kept making side gazes while grinning.
She was really getting on my nerves, and I could tell Lucien was amused by the whole thing which also seemed to make matters worse for me.
It was already late, and Lucien finally decided he was ready to leave.
It was quite shocking how at home he felt when he was the kind of person who loved his own space when he was not working.
I walk him out, and when I see he is about to talk, I just know what he wants to talk about so, I interrupt immediately.
"It was nice of you to come over today. Goodnight," I say hurriedly already going back inside my home so that I can go to bed.
