Chapter 293 - Broly Joins

Yuujin was slightly surprised that Broly agreed to his proposal so readily.

However, after thinking about it, he understood why. Paragus had only ever treated Broly as a tool to fulfill his own ambitions. Naturally, Broly held no attachment or affection for him.

In the past, Broly had followed Paragus simply because she had nowhere else to go. She obeyed his commands only because it didn't matter to her. But now that she had found Yuujin, someone she liked and who treated her with kindness, the choice was obvious—Broly didn't need to hesitate at all.

As a Saiyan who relied more on instinct and intuition than intelligence and reason, Broly never bothered with complex thoughts. She only needed to follow her instincts!

"Broly, welcome to the team."

"Don't worry, I won't leave you alone again."

Yuujin gently embraced Broly as he spoke.

Even though she didn't fully understand Yuujin's words, Broly could feel his kindness and warmth. It was a feeling she had never experienced from her father or anyone else before, and she liked it very much.

"Great! Broly is now one of us—our companion and family."

Gokumi said happily, resting her hands behind her head.

She highly valued Broly's strength. Before, only Yuujin and Vegea could truly match her. But now that Broly had joined, she had another sparring partner and rival to challenge at any time.

Unlike Yuujin and Gokumi, who were excited, Vegea stood to the side with an indifferent expression.

She wasn't very supportive of letting Broly join. Having fought Broly herself, no one understood better than her just how terrifying the power hidden within Broly's slender body was.

Vegea was certain—given enough time, Broly would definitely grow into a monster far more terrifying than Cell!

Having someone like that around was undoubtedly dangerous. Worse yet, Broly couldn't fully control her own power and could go berserk at any moment. But since Yuujin had already made his decision, Vegea didn't bother arguing. In the end, even if the sky collapsed, it wasn't her problem to fix.

"Master."

At that moment, Celipa and Sharuru descended from the sky.

Celipa was carrying a person in her hand—a barely breathing, pitiful figure. It was none other than Broly's father, Paragus!

"B-Broly… save me… save me…"

Paragus struggled and cried out upon seeing Broly.

Finding him noisy, Celipa let out a cold snort and slammed Paragus down onto her knee. He let out a miserable scream as his entire body convulsed in pain.

To be honest, Yuujin didn't like Paragus either. Ugly, cold-blooded, cruel, and ambitious—he was the perfect example of a traditional Saiyan. He even treated his own daughter as nothing more than a tool.

It would be best to just get rid of him. However, since he was still Broly's father, Yuujin decided to respect her opinion on the matter.

"Broly, how do you want to deal with Paragus?" Yuujin asked.

Knowing this was the moment that would decide his fate, Paragus struggled desperately. The pain in his body was so intense that he could no longer speak, so he could only plead with his eyes, silently begging Broly to save him.

But to Paragus' despair, Broly only gave him a calm, indifferent glance before looking away.

"Father, I don't need him."

Broly replied.

Yuujin understood that Broly's words were simply a literal response—she wasn't implying anything deeper.

But that was already enough!

"Since Broly has no need for him, then let's get rid of him."

Yuujin smiled and signaled to Celipa.

A cruel smile appeared on Celipa's lips as she tossed Paragus into the air. Then, she condensed a ki blast and fired.

"No!!!!"

Paragus let out a desperate, furious scream. But it was the last sound he would ever make in this world.

With a loud explosion, a massive fireball engulfed the sky, swallowing Paragus completely. He was erased from existence.

Even after witnessing her own father's death, Broly's expression remained unchanged.

Broly was simple, but her simplicity also made her terrifyingly indifferent. Other than the people she cared about, she probably wouldn't bat an eye even if the entire universe was destroyed.

Paragus, her so-called "father," had only ever treated her as a tool. Naturally, she had never cared about him at all…

With Paragus and his army eliminated, and Broly now on their side, this incident was finally over. Yuujin was very pleased with the outcome.

"Let's go back."

Yuujin said, then took to the sky with Broly, Gokumi, and the others.

The expedition fleet was stationed in space, just beyond the planet's atmosphere. As Yuujin and the girls boarded Frieza's flagship, they were met with the awe-filled gazes of the expeditionary soldiers.

"Launch, we're done on our side."

"How's the situation on your end? What are the casualties?"

Yuujin asked as he pulled Launch into his embrace.

"The expeditionary forces suffered heavy losses. Tens of thousands of warriors were killed, and many important warships and vessels were destroyed."

"It was all because of her!"

Launch's expression darkened, her eyes burning with fury as she glared at Broly.

Over the years, she had led the expeditionary forces across the universe, conquering new territories for Yuujin's empire. They had always been victorious—until now.

Every surviving warrior had fought alongside Launch in countless battles. Each one was an elite. Losing so many all at once pained her deeply.

Had Yuujin and the others not arrived in time, the entire expeditionary force might have been wiped out!

"Alright, don't blame Broly. She was just being used by Paragus."

"From now on, Broly is one of us—our comrade and family. She won't attack us anymore."

Yuujin reassured her, stroking Launch's hair.

"Hmph, I don't want a comrade or family member like her."

Launch snorted coldly.

If it were someone else, she might have let it go. But Broly had slaughtered too many of her warriors. Launch wasn't someone who forgave easily.

Seeing Launch's reaction, Yuujin felt a headache coming on.

She was his wife, and Broly was now their comrade and family. If this hatred wasn't resolved, there would be problems in the future. And Yuujin wanted to prevent that.

"Alright, alright, just let this go. I'll have Bulma send the Dragon Balls over and revive all the fallen warriors."

Yuujin reassured Launch once more.

This was the only solution he could think of. He didn't like relying on the Dragon Balls too much, but he also never hesitated to use them when necessary.

Besides, he, too, was heartbroken over losing so many expeditionary soldiers.
