Evan didn't know about Yveltal's awakening.

Now that he had absorbed a wave of mental power from the Soul Dew in his hand, he felt more comfortable than ever before. He could sense that he was gradually gaining complete control over his Psychic abilities.

It was like recovering from constipation—uncomfortable at first, but extremely relieving afterward. Evan finally felt cured of the psychic "constipation" he had suffered for years. His Psychic powers had been completely stabilized.

As long as this Soul Dew remained with him, Evan's Psychic abilities would not go berserk again. As his powers gradually came under control, the Psychic energy being absorbed by the Soul Dew also slowed down.

It maintained a delicate balance with Evan's Psychic condition. This gem could share the burden of Evan's uncontrollable power while simultaneously using his Psychic energy to nourish itself. Evan could clearly sense the life force inside the gem growing stronger.

"Should I take this with me?" he wondered, glancing toward the Salamence.

The Salamence's eyes flashed with excitement. Without hesitation, it agreed to Evan's unspoken question.

"Hoo~! Take it! Since your Psychic power is beneficial to it, why not take it away? Of course you should take it. If possible, it would be best if you could wake Latias up."

For this dragon-type legendary Pokémon, all the dragon-type Pokémon in the valley held tremendous respect. Without Latias and Latios, this sanctuary might never have existed. Now that they had found a way to potentially revive Latias, the Pokémon in the valley would surely have no objections.

After receiving Salamence's permission, Evan carefully collected the Soul Dew. "It's a pity that I can't make it into a pendant to wear at all times," Evan couldn't help but murmur as he looked at the fist-sized Soul Dew.

As if understanding his words, the Soul Dew began to shrink until it was roughly the size of a Mega Stone. Seeing this, Evan was stunned momentarily before breaking into a smile.

Latias was indeed already conscious. She had understood what he said.

The Salamence became excited when it witnessed this transformation. What did this indicate? It showed that Latias was on the verge of awakening. If she had no consciousness, she would never have been able to respond like this.

This special Soul Dew functioned somewhat like a Poké Ball. Seeing it shrink, Evan didn't hesitate to remove the decorative pendant from around his neck and replace it with the Soul Dew. With a click, he firmly embedded the Soul Dew into the decoration around his neck.

"Did you find a Latias?" Claire asked with a hint of sourness in her voice.

If Evan could resurrect Latias, he would essentially have acquired a legendary Pokémon—and not just any legendary, but Latias, a Dragon and Psychic-type. If Eli knew about this, his face would probably twist with envy. In fact, Claire herself was almost consumed with jealousy.

Evan was incredibly lucky. He had essentially obtained a Latias just like that, and a powerful one at that. Although she didn't know the specific details, the Latias would undoubtedly be formidable.

Hearing her words, Evan curled his lips. "Who knows? What if she hatches and leaves immediately? It's not like she has accepted me as her Trainer yet."

Evan didn't dare to say too much because the Pokémon hadn't yet been captured. It was too early to make such claims.

Claire considered his point and conceded that he was right. Evan hadn't secured Latias's loyalty yet.

After resolving this matter, Evan turned his attention back to Salamence.

"Ahem... Salamence, could I possibly catch some of the Pokémon you have here? Also, would any of your group be willing to come with me? I'm not being greedy—just one. If any of them want to join me, they can come forward. Preferably one of the stronger ones. When Latias wakes up in the future, I can have her return and let you know. Is that acceptable?"

Evan began making requests rather shamelessly. When Salamence heard his proposition, it was momentarily speechless. After staring at Evan for a long while, it finally responded.

"Hoo~! I can't make that decision alone. You'll need to ask if anyone wants to leave with you."

After saying this, it looked behind itself. Due to the commotion earlier, many Salamence had gathered nearby, watching quietly from a distance.

Evan was satisfied with this reply and looked toward Sophia and the others. Just as he was about to speak, a suffocating pressure erupted from the distance.

Feeling this aura full of malice and destruction, everyone's expressions suddenly changed.

"Hoo~!! This is bad! That scent is coming from Yveltal's location!"

The expressions of Evan and the others darkened immediately.

"Just our luck," Evan muttered. "Has Yveltal awakened?"

Claire was stunned. What was happening? Why had Yveltal suddenly awakened?

"Everyone, we need to get out of here," Evan decided immediately. "Salamence, quickly organize the Pokémon to evacuate. We need to leave this place immediately."

As for going to investigate? Sorry, Evan wasn't that foolish. Going there now would be suicide—Yveltal would certainly kill anyone who approached. Evan had no intention of participating in such a deadly encounter. He needed to escape first; he couldn't afford to satisfy his curiosity.

No matter what, Evan refused to approach Yveltal. Regardless of what legendary Pokémon it was, rushing over now would either get him killed or be a suicidal act. He didn't naively believe that legendary Pokémon were easy to befriend, especially a Dark-type harbinger of destruction like Yveltal.

Did he really think that the legendary beast that brought death and destruction was playing games? Not only Evan, but Claire and the others also had no desire to investigate.

Salamence immediately roared when it heard Evan's words, calling to all the Pokémon in the valley to prepare for evacuation. It took the lead, rushing back into the huge cave to gather the Shelgon and Bagon inside. Other flying Pokémon also rushed toward the waterfall, preparing to leave.

Evan and the others mounted Flying Pokémon and followed them. Moving quickly, Evan joined the large group as they rushed outside. As they emerged, he glimpsed a distant column of black energy shooting straight into the sky.

This was something he couldn't afford to challenge, so he fled with the others.
