MONDAY MORNING OF THE NEXT DAY:
Everyone in Waltz mansion had five laps before going to freshen up and have breakfast, and Cheyenne before she could speak to Miles, he has already left the house, she sigh and went to find her son
Inside Pete's room, she is helping bring out his school uniform while lost in thoughts, even with Pete talking to her, when Pete saw her like that, he couldn't help asking
"Mommy! What are you thinking about so deeply?"
he touch her cheeks while standing on the bed, Cheyenne laughs and pinch him as she tease
"What do you know, come on, let's prepare for school, Auntie Erika said she will take you today"
"Really? Then hurry up bring out my backpack, I will wear my uniform"
Pete instructs while putting on his uniform without any stress, Cheyenne looks at him, she is both surprised and shock, she held his arms that is buttoning his shirt and ask
"Did Major taught you how to wear your uniform?"
But to her surprise Pete shakes his head and answer
"No, Major says that you and uncle starts doing everything on your own when you are just three, so I told her that I will do things on my own without any help, so I learnt it, she and Granny DD only check it after I am done"
Pete says with a shining eyes, showing his proud side, seeing this Cheyenne laughs and hug him
"My son is really a big boy now, you brush your teeth and even take your bath on your own, Mom is really proud of you"
she praise and Pete giggles
"I am proud of mommy too, you keep the country safe with your team, I am more proud of you"
when Cheyenne heard him says that with his milky voice, her eyes unknowingly tear up, but she hurry wipe it, since she don't want him to see her tears
"Don't worry Mom won't let you down, sit here, I will help you put on your shoes since I am here, I will do all that for you and when I am not around you will do them and don't trouble Major and Granny DD okay?"
Cheyenne educates while putting his shoes on for him, Pete nods like a chicken
After a while Pete recalls something and tell his mother
"Mom, Uncle Logan says I will be the little groom on his wedding and grandpa has bought many suit for me to test on too"
Cheyenne chuckles and answer with question
"When did Uncle Logan said that?''
"Grandfather threatens him that I will be the little groom so he doesn't have any say again, you know how he is?''
Cheyenne laughs after all, she knows how Mr. Balzary is when it comes to Pete, and he believes that no child is more handsome or Cuter than his grandson
"Ha-ha! Just like your grandfather, and you, what do you say, will you like to be the little groom?''
"Off course, he is only having wedding once in this life time so I will do it, is just that I don't want anyone to ship me with the little bride"
Pete has an adult look as he says this, which made Cheyenne to laugh out without care,
Erika and Abby happens to walk into the room and meet the scene of Cheyenne laugh out loud
"What is so funny?''
the both asked and Cheyenne repeated what Pete said, both also laughs, Erika squat before Pete and pinch his chubby cheeks and say
"No one is allowed to give my little handsome a bride, you will chose one yourself, and I think the little bride is not beautiful and cute when it comes to you"
Pete breams with happiness when he heard this
"What if she is beautiful Pete? Will you like her"
Abby says
"Auntie Abby, no girl is more beautiful than my Mom, she is the most beautiful lady in this world"
Pete praise with all seriousness, Cheyenne is touched and she crease his hair lovely
"And what about us, are you saying we are ugly?"
Abby says with pouted mouth
"Auntie Abby, you are cute and beautiful too, you know what? You ladies are the best"
Pete praise all together with thumbs up when he saw Erika's angry face when she thought she won't receive his complement
After saying this, Erika's face have a smile on them. Pete sigh
"That is enough now, let's go or you will be late to school"
Cheyenne picks his backpack and Erika insisted on carrying him, even when he says he will walk on his own
"I have packed the lunch box, and Uncle Balzary and Major steps out, they said they are paying a visit to the neighbor, so we have to go to the company from Pete's school"
Abby informs Cheyenne while they walks out of the room
"That is fine, I am already dressed up, so is nothing big, we will head out after dropping him"
Cheyenne points
"will you come and pick me up Mommy?"
Pete on Erika's arms asks
"Sure can do, even if we don't come today, will come tomorrow, since we are here for you, so don't worry"
Pete is so happy that you can see it by looking at his face.

Pete's school, is a British-based school, which is one of the best in the city, with good learning environment and Learned teachers. in order to over sees the performance of the pupils, each classroom, only have fifteen pupils in each class;
As soon as Pete marched to the assembly ground that the bell just rang for, the girls bide him goodbye and drove out, heading towards Miles's company.

Over the years, 'Mie cheery Pete' foot wear, has become popular from far and near, Miles even have some branches in towns and outside the country, and while it grows, Pete's Logistics (Cheyenne's) also grows with it since they are responsible for the delivery, so the sibling have made so much progress over the years.
Arriving at the big company with about five floors, Erika park the car and they alight together, Cheyenne stood before the tall building and looks up at the name plate, that is clearly written 'Mie Cheery Pete's Foot wear'
she sigh and ask in a low tone
"What do you think will be the matter?''
"We will know if we go inside and look for him and please stop sighing, he has done a nice job over the years while still managing his life in the army"
Erika comments
"So right, this company is single handily built by him, and I am proud of him"
Says Cheyenne
"You helped out Captain, is not all his sweat"
Abby say while heading inside leaving them
"Why is she always a big mouth?''
Cheyenne asked, but Erika laughs and follows Abby.
Abby happens to be greeting the receptionist before the two joins her
"Good day ladies, welcome to Mie Cheery Pete's foot wear, how may I help you?''
The receptionist is a young man on his mid-twenties, and he has a charming smile while saying his line, Abby went on to tease him by commenting
"You are really handsome, but don't smile too much or the ladies working here might forget their work and come to keep you company"
Erika and Cheyenne coughs, even the receptionist didn't expect her words, his body stiffs and so is his smile
Cheyenne tries to say something to ease the atmosphere but the elevator next to them opens and a group of people happens to steps out from it and their voice were aren't low, so the ladies turn to them and happens to overhear what they are saying
"What will happen now, boss seems confused at the moment, something like this has never happen before"
Comes a male voice
"Just hope this won't affect the image of the company, I really like working here"
Another male adds
"Me too, the boss really treat everyone nice and so is the departments supervisors"
says a female staff
The group walks pass Cheyenne and her friends, Cheyenne frown and turn to the Receptionist and ask
"Is the boss in any meeting now?''
the young man hurry brings out his diary book when he feels the air around them changed
"No ma'am, he just finished with one just now"
"Thanks, let's go ladies"
Cheyenne walks to the nearest elevator and press the last floor button and they went in all together
It is until the girls are out of sight that the poor receptionist come back to earth
"Wait, I didn't even ask them who they are?''
The receptionist scratch his head with worried face.
Up inside the CEO'S office, with a unique decoration, just like Miles. His military uniform is hanging on the cloth hanger by the corner of the room, and he is currently sitting behind his desk while massaging his temples with the shirt he is wearing lose and messy, the tie is nowhere to be seen, his hair is messy, with so many crumpled paper and scratched ones with shoes design on the desk, he seem lost in thought while sitting there
when the girls walk to his corridor, the Assistants and secretary with some executive workers that is assigned to his side don't allow them to enter without proper introduction
Cheyenne just give them a cold gaze and push them aside and makes her way towards Miles office door
"Ma'am, sorry you can't just barged inside like that"
A little assistant wants to retain Cheyenne from going inside the office But Cheyenne opens her mouth and question
"What is your name?''
"What? My name Jill''
The girl seems to be on her early Twenties with a beautiful face and amazing body shapes, she don't lose out when beautiful girls are mentioned, and currently she has a stubborn look on her face while staring back at Cheyenne
Cheyenne smiles seeing that
"You are his secretary right?''
"No, I am Mr. Mille's assistant. why asking this question?"
Jill angrily ask
"Bcause if she is unhappy with you, your job here is over, just step aside now, we aren't here to look at your face"
Abby says straight forward, even the people around chuckles
Cheyenne looks at the girl, who has a disgusting look on her face like she thinking of something after seizing Cheyenne up
Cheyenne sigh seeing her looks before saying
"Abby that is enough now, Miss Jill, I am your boss's elder Sister, Cheyenne Balzary Waltz. may I go in now?"
Who in the whole company haven't heard the name of the boss's sister before? the staffs bows with respect when they heard her, even the look in Jill's eyes change 360 degrees and she has admiration on her face as she try to say something but Cheyenne beats her to it as she say
"Put your personal life aside when you are in business or it might cause you a lot, and….stop thinking too much"
with this, she ignore her and walk to Miles office door. Erika and Abby sneers and leave the group.
Cheyenne push the door to Miles's office open and meet him in daze
"What really happen? I haven't seen Miles like this before"
Erika mumbles behind Cheyenne
"I think what happened is beyond him, he seems lost"
Abby adds
Cheyenne brows is frown. she steps into the office and calls out to Miles, but he didn't move, till she calls out again. he opens his shut eyes and look over, his eyes were confused at first before he calls out to confirm
"Sis!"
Cheyenne's heart aches seeing him like that, she open her mouth and ask
"What Happened?''
Miles, who seem to see a light out of his darkness steps out of his chair and run to Cheyenne's arms and embrace her, the three ladies were surprise
Cheyenne pats his back and try to separate their hug so she can ask what is going on, but a hot liquid drops on her shoulders, she panics and calls out to Miles with worried tone
"Why are you crying? Miles look at me. what happen?''
she queries but with the gentle tone Miles cried out more
"Okay, this is serious, Miles always preach about being the man, so why is he behaving like me now"
Abby whispers to Erika but she gives her a stern look and went to Miles and Cheyenne and touch his shoulders;
Cheyenne manage to calm Miles, and make him to sit on the spare couch in the room, while Abby offers a glass of water. seeing him relax, Cheyenne repeats her question
"What is going on Miles? Say something don't try to solve it alone, it won't help"
"Your sister is right, we are here to help, tell us, no problem is too big when we do it together"
Erika adds
"Hey Miles, I hope you haven't sold off your company without knowing"
Abby say to lighten the mood but Miles give her an angry eyes before he bow his head again and refuse to look at his sister,
Cheyenne stand up from where she is sitting with him and walk to his desk only to meet the papers with some plans written down on a pieces of paper, she circle the desk and stand in front of it and starts placing the scattered pieces of papers together, afterwards, she went to the paper with shoe designs on them.
When her hands stops, she looks up to Miles, who at the same time looking at her with worry in his eyes, seeing his eyes, Cheyenne calm down and sit down on his leather chair and question
"Who approved the delivery?''
Hearing her, Erika and Abby looks at the two at the same time and Miles bow his head and answer
"I was in a hurry to go out since the team needed me, so I signed the papers without looking…..is a mistake"
Cheyenne didn't say anything afterwards.
The current problem is that Miles has being scammed
Erika approach Cheyenne and question
"What is going on Cheyenne?''
Cheyenne sigh and replies with
"He will tell us. Miles start talking"
Miles sigh and opens up
"A week ago, the manager of Lax shoes called and requested for hundreds of latest model shoes, so we put aside the smaller requested customers and focused on his, since their company is a good customers of ours, we have it finished on Friday night and told them, then we packed it up ready for delivery, then Saturday morning the marketing department called me and asked me to sign the papers for the delivery, I was in a hurry to attend to my duty at the Military camp when I signed the papers.
Early Sunday morning a call came through and is from Lax company and they are requesting for their goods to be deliver, I was shocked because the marketing head told me on Saturday night when I returned, that the goods has being delivered but, the Lax manager insisted that they didn't sent anyone nor have they received any goods, we tried using the tracking number on the goods but found out that they are not on it anymore, I sent someone to the Lax company to check but he returned with the same words of them not receiving any goods and accusing us of taking their money without giving them goods, but can the goods disappear like that?"
Miles narrates.
The girl's walks around the room for a while, then Abby's voice come
"Did you have any problem with the Lax before this?''
"Not at all, they have being a good customer to us since this company opened"
"This is a well-planned work, and if the Lax company Said that they didn't received goods, then where is the goods?''
Erika ask
"Hang on….who was it that packed the goods for them?"
Cheyenne suddenly ask
"Should I call them in?''
Miles asked
"Off course, did she asked you that because she wants to praise them?''
Abby tease, Erika and Cheyenne chuckles,
Miles roll his eyes at her, then walks to his desk and take the telephone and make a call
"Jill, ask Mr. Cote and Miss Dobra to come to my office"
"Right away sir"
Jill voice from the other side replies and Miles put the phone away.
It didn't take up to two minutes and two figures appears at the door of the office, after getting permission to enter, they walk into the office
One is a man on his late thirties, quit good looking, and the lady beside her is in her late twenties, but dressed up professional with everything in order, this give them points in the eyes of the girl's
"Sis, this is Mr. Cote the head of the Marketing department and his assistant Miss Dobra"
Miles introduce and the two staffs bow in respect
"Is nice meeting you two, sorry for disturbing your work now, is just that what we need to know is quite important"
Cheyenne says
"Is nothing Ma'am, we are available now"
Mr. Cote answer, Cheyenne smile and begins to question
"When the people sent for the goods, who supervised them? And, what did he or she says?''
"We did, and the driver didn't say much, as he sit inside the truck, but one of the boys that was packing the goods into the truck said it was Lax company that sent them, even the logo on the car says Lax company and same with their plate numbers"
Mr. Cote recalls
"Who numbered the goods?''
Cheyenne ask again
"I did Ma'am, and it was intact before the car drove off"
Miss Dobra respond
"If the car has the logo and same company plate number even the workers said the Lax sent them, why is the Lax saying that they didn't receive the goods"
Abby comments at the side with eyes deep.
"Something is not right here, Miss Dobra can you identify the driver's face or any of the boys?''
Cheyenne ask
"Yes Ma'am, I can give a sketch of him, I can draw"
Miss Dobra hurry say, Cheyenne nods with smile
Erika pass a paper and pencil on the table to Miss Dobra
Cheyenne in the other side picks her phone and dials Niamh number, when the call connects, Niamh lazy and whining voice come
"Captain, I drank a lot last night and I haven't sober up yet, please can I sleep more"
Niamh pleads like a child,
Cheyenne shakes her head and change her tone of voice and orders
"Second Lieutenant Niamh Eisner!"
when Niamh heard this, he straighten up and answer respectfully
"Yes Captain"
Cheyenne held herself from laughing out loud before giving him order
"Run a clean background check on the Lax shoe company, five minutes, I need the information in Five minutes"
"Right away Captain"
Cheyenne hung up before he could notice the laughter she is trying to suppress, when she take out the phone from her ear, she laughs
"The fool drank again?''
Erika ask
"ha-ha! I think they party all night yesterday, he was pleading to sleep more, so I have to thicken my skin and order him"
Erika and Abby laughs even Miles unknowingly joins.
After words Cheyenne comments
"Erika help me contact your younger brother Manuel"
"What are you planning?''
Erika couldn't help ask while bringing out her cell phone to make the call
"The Lax want to play some games, which they aren't smart enough with, let's give them what they want then…..
Miles who call up the Manager of Lax and tell him that you are ready to compensate them for the damages done, and also to give them few shoes for causing them lost, then know what his reply will be"
Cheyenne points
Miles look at his sister then to her friends who just nods to him before bringing out his cell phone to make the call, all the while Mr. Cote and Miss Dobra sits there and watch the drama unfold, the call connects and Miles put it on speaker as he talks
"Mr. Golly, is me, Miles Balzary Waltz"
"Oh is CEO Miles, have you thought of ways to take us out of the embarrassing state your company has put us or are you trying to plead for more days, President Miles, the upper heads is being adamant, they stated that if nothing is done before 4pm today, they will make sure that the media hears about what your company have done, I hope you have found a way out, don't ruin our years of partnership like this"
Mr. Golly is the manager from the Lax company and his voice seems like he is talking to one of his subordinates not a President of a reputed company, hearing his tone of words, Cheyenne sneer and signal Miles to say what she told him
"Listen Mr. Golly, I agree we made a mistake, that is why, we have decided to compensate you with shoes worth more than those you purchased from us before.
So, let's settle this within us, there is no need involving the media, you won't only ruin my company but my family reputation as well, so please try and understand me, I will sent out the shoes and in full of the money you paid for the goods, we are sorry for this"
Miles says with his most calmest voice
Mr. Golly on the other end of the line seems to hear a pleasant words and his voice sound sweet as he respond
"Then I will inform the heads up about this. President Miles, don't worry, I think you made the right decision"
"Thank you, please inform them and let me know the outcome. Do have a nice day"
"Same here President Miles"
With this they end the call
"I think they have hands in this"
Miles fumes in anger when he put his phone aside
"Not think, they have hands on it, how is it going Miss Dobra?''
