I woke up trapped and disoriented.
Pillows and soft sheets. Right, Nikolai's bed. He left me here, and I'd fallen back asleep. I tried to shift, but I couldn't move. Something was weighing me down.
I came fully awake then, my eyes squinting against the bright sunlight streaming through the glass. In the distance, there was nothing but blue as far as I could see.
Why couldn't I move? "Enjoy your nap?"
Oh, that asshole! I bucked and kicked out with my legs, hoping like hell I caught him in the junk. "Get off me!"
He chuckled. "A shame. I liked you sleepy and sweet."
I tried to shove him farther away without the use of my hands. "Release me now, Nikolai."
