Chapter 372 - C260

"Kaido of the Beasts enters the battle!"

The Marine video den den mushi (video transponder snails) on the Sabaody Archipelago were all interrupted, but the one hidden on Buggy was still intact. As a result, the only screen on Sabaody continued broadcasting the battlefield at Marineford.

"Kaido of the Beasts, that troublesome guy is here!" Sengoku rolled up his sleeves, his face ugly, and said, "Looks like I'll have to step in too. Garp, I'm leaving this to you. It shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Garp stayed silent for a moment, then answered, "I know — unless I get hit."

Hearing Garp's response, Sengoku finally felt at ease. He then moved toward the execution platform, ready to act at any moment.

Kaido of the Beasts hadn't come to help Whitebeard at all. He had transformed into an azure dragon and was breathing out destruction, attacking indiscriminately across the half-moon-shaped bay — Marine or Whitebeard pirate, it made no difference to him. They were all targets.

This guy was enjoying the war. Maybe he had another goal, but Sengoku couldn't just sit back and watch the Marines get slaughtered.

Outside Marineford, two massive pirate ships also approached — the very ones that had disappeared from Marine surveillance earlier. They were packed with the elite of the Beasts Pirates, including Kaido's right-hand man, Disaster Jack the Drought.

"Brother Jack, there's a Marine warship blocking the way ahead. Should we go around and link up with the boss?" someone asked.

"Get in the way? Go around? What the hell are you dumbshits talking about?!"

Jack the Drought roared furiously, his eyes bulging and bloodshot. "I'm Jack the Drought! Pull the ship up! Sink that Marine warship!"

Who did these idiots think he was? Some Marine ships dared to block his path?

"Yes, Brother Jack!"

Instantly, the two Beasts Pirates' ships opened fire on the Marines.

Originally, in the waters outside the half-moon port, the Marines and Whitebeard's 43 pirate ships were locked in a stalemate, with the Marines holding a slight advantage. But the sudden assault from Jack's fleet threw everything into chaos, forcing the Marines to split their focus.

Marine alternate admiral Momousagi, upon receiving the report, immediately contacted the tea dolphin: "Gion, I'll lead my warship to confront Jack the Drought. You take care of the Whitebeard Pirates!"

Out on the sea battlefield, only Momousagi and another alternate admiral were strong enough to face Jack the Drought. But by diverting warships, they risked giving the Whitebeard Pirates some breathing room.

Kaido of the Beasts — the strongest creature in the pirate world — was rampaging uncontrollably. The Marines couldn't handle him. They had captured him several times before, but they couldn't execute him, and he always managed to escape.

Worse, Kaido was completely unpredictable, and his strength was among the highest on the seas. Even Sengoku couldn't guess his true purpose for coming.

"Kaido, you bastard!" Sengoku cursed. If they let him continue rampaging, Marine casualties would skyrocket.

"Launch the God Missiles immediately! Target Kaido of the Beasts! Kizaru, assist as well!"

"Kaido of the Beasts... what a terrifying opponent, Mr. Sengoku," Kizaru said lazily, yet he obeyed the order, pulling back from the main battlefield and launching a flurry of his Yasakani no Magatama attack at Kaido.

Simultaneously, hundreds of God Missiles were fired from the rear of Naval Headquarters, detonating in the dark skies above. The explosions roared through the battlefield, followed by the furious cry of Kaido the Beasts.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Kizaru appeared high above Kaido and unleashed a devastating laser kick. The powerful beam struck Kaido's dragon back, making him roar in pain before crashing down toward the battlefield.

After crashing to the ground, the giant dragon form vanished instantly. From the rising smoke, a burly, imposing figure slowly emerged. As he walked forward, clutching his head, he grumbled, "Damn, that bastard woke me up from my drunkenness. You wanna fight, you bitch?!"

Looking around, Kaido spotted several familiar faces and finally remembered the purpose of his arrival. He immediately roared, "We're in Marineford, right? Jack! Where are you?! Find that Shichibukai who sells arms for me!"

Kaido's thunderous voice echoed across the battlefield. Upon hearing it, many immediately thought of Mage Kain, the powerful figure who had just made a strong impression on the battlefield.

Kain himself was momentarily stunned — Kaido was looking for him! But after a second's thought, he realized: it had to be Doflamingo's doing. Kaido was a top-tier fighter, and Kain was the most famous arms dealer.

Although the Marines had special suppliers and arms partnerships with more than a dozen countries, in the East Blue and South Blue, Kain's weapons dominated. Compared to the underground arms Kaido dealt in through Doflamingo, Kain's merchandise was leagues ahead — Doflamingo's products were practically obsolete relics.

Crackling...

Suddenly, Kain's body turned into a flash of lightning. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared behind Doflamingo. His lower body remained natural, but his right hand had already condensed into a solid form.

So fast!

Every top powerhouse at Marineford with Observation Haki sensed Kain's move — but although they could sense it, very few could react in time.

Kain's right elbow crackled with electricity. Using electromagnetic acceleration, he instantly seized Doflamingo by the neck, slammed his head hard into the ground, and unleashed a surge of current that disrupted all the bioelectricity in his body.

"Nice try, clown," Kain said calmly. "But you think I'm scared of that idiot over there? And why are you afraid of him if he's not afraid of me? Was it because I didn't kill you back then?"

Without waiting for a response, Kain amped up the current by another ten million volts. As he finished speaking, lightning raged violently through Doflamingo's body — the man was being electrocuted into a smoldering wreck.

"Uh... uh... uh...!"

Doflamingo hadn't expected the sudden attack at all. He was so caught off guard he hadn't even activated his Armament Haki.

"Stop it, Kain! This is Marineford! The battle's still going on!!"

Sengoku shouted urgently. The video transponder snails hadn't been completely shut down yet — and he could already imagine the scandal: Shichibukai turning on each other in the middle of a decisive battle. Besides, Doflamingo wasn't just a Warlord — he was the king of Dressrosa.

"Ah!"

Ignoring Sengoku's shout, Kain hurled Doflamingo's battered body into the air. Then, with a wave of his right hand, he unleashed thunder, slicing off both of Doflamingo's legs and his right arm. With a snap of his fingers, a phoenix made of pure flame appeared, instantly burning the severed limbs to ash.

The battlefield fell into stunned silence.

No one had expected such a sudden, brutal change. One moment, Doflamingo was still fighting against the Whitebeard Pirates. The next, Kain had crippled him, leaving his life hanging by a thread.

A Shichibukai was abolished — just like that — and it was broadcast to the entire world, even after Marine Admiral Sengoku's warning.

"You… you…"

Sengoku's eyes widened. He couldn't believe what Kain had done — so reckless, so daring!

Luffy, who had been charging forward to rescue Ace, suddenly stopped. He quickly turned to Jinbei beside him and asked, "Jinbei, is Marine fighting amongst themselves?"

"That's not Marine," Jinbei replied cautiously. "That's a Shichibukai… the one who attacked you earlier. Forget it, Luffy. Listen carefully: don't mess with him."

Though both Jinbei and Kain were Shichibukai, Kain's behavior was completely unpredictable. Besides, Kain held a grudge against Luffy. If Kain decided to kill him, even Jinbei wasn't sure if being a 'former Shichibukai' would be enough to save Luffy.

"Doflamingo… you bloody bastard! He's the arms supplier for the Beasts Pirates!"

Upon seeing Doflamingo's miserable condition, Kaido roared in fury. His shout was so loud it echoed across Marineford — even the Beasts Pirates on their ships outside the port heard their captain's furious cry.

Everyone — except for Jack the Drought — was left dumbfounded. How could Boss Kaido blurt out such a huge secret so casually!?

"Little brat, I'm going to kill you!"

Kaido of the Beasts roared in rage, grabbed the massive mace lying nearby, and charged toward Kain with violent fury.

"The so-called 'strongest creature in the world' who's always trying to kill himself, huh?"

Kain sneered. "Fine. I'll grant you your wish to die today!"

In an instant, a massive amount of chakra gathered in Kain's hand. He condensed it into a dark, high-density Tailed Beast Bomb, with a yin-to-yang ratio of 2:8. The sphere grew larger and larger with terrifying speed.

By the time Kaido closed the distance, the Tailed Beast Bomb had expanded to twenty or thirty meters under Kain's release, regardless of how much chakra it consumed.

Even without Observation Haki, everyone in front of Marineford could feel the overwhelming destructive power packed into that Tailed Beast Bomb. If it exploded, it could easily raze Marineford to the ground.

With a crackle of lightning, Kain appeared directly in front of the charging Kaido, holding the massive Tailed Beast Bomb — and he slammed it straight at him.

"Your name's Kaido, right? Go back!!"

Boom!

As Kaido's mace clashed with the Tailed Beast Bomb, the impact blew everyone within a hundred meters away. Even the dark clouds covering the sky were scattered by the shockwave.

"Ugh!!"

Kaido quickly braced himself, holding his mace across his chest. He managed to block the Tailed Beast Bomb, but the high-density chakra and brutal force still forced him back, step by step.

Finally, Kain poured even more chakra into the attack, increasing the force behind it. Kaido couldn't withstand it any longer — he was blasted away, flying backward alongside the Tailed Beast Bomb.

Together, Kaido and the Tailed Beast Bomb carved a massive trench, tens of meters wide, into the ground. They didn't stop even after reaching the sea. Kaido was launched over ten kilometers before — BOOM! — the Tailed Beast Bomb exploded in the ocean.

Rumble!!

A gigantic white light engulfed the horizon. It was as if a second sun had risen from the distant sea. A massive shockwave followed, kicking up a tsunami nearly a hundred meters high. Even at a distance, the people at Marineford felt the terror of a true natural disaster approaching.

And the tsunami triggered by the explosion was heading straight for Marineford.

The first ones to be hit would be the warships and pirate ships still fighting outside — and under that monstrous tsunami, few could hope to survive.

"Kuzan!!"

Sengoku shouted urgently, turning sharply toward Aokiji. At this point, there was no other choice — only Aokiji could stop the tsunami before it wiped Marineford off the map.
