During the meal, the two of them maintained their usual silence.
Chuchu was preoccupied with her thoughts, eating slowly, while Jiang Kechu glanced at her and found the paled bruise on her face particularly glaring.
After the meal, Jiang Kechu did not leave immediately to wash the dishes as he usually did.
He said, "You wash the dishes today, I need to step out for a bit."
