Ou Bai Die awoke, ever since Ruo Ling disappeared, she felt somewhat groggy and restless; now, unable to sleep, she got out of bed and opened her bedroom door.
She had intended just to get some fresh air, but upon opening the door, she suddenly heard an abnormal noise and quickened her pace as she walked out.
The sound was coming from Mi Yao's room. The door wasn't fully closed, leaving a small gap. Ou Bai Die peeked inside and saw Mi Yao standing there, her skirt bulging as if hiding another person.
Ou Bai Die's face changed color, and she immediately raised her hand and knocked on the door.
Upon hearing the knock, Mi Yao startled and quickly pushed away the man, retreating several steps.
Feng Yueming slowly stood up, turned to face the door, and deliberately used his broad shoulders to shield the flustered Mi Yao behind him, "Mom, why are you here?"
