Kit Hunter activated a small light that projected from his commlink as he glanced down once more at the brief message he had received from an unknown number.
The usual place.
His heart began to race as he walked further into the tunnel that connected to the underground tube system beneath the Inner City streets.
'Is this it? He's going to ask me to give him Till, and when I say no he'll kill me. I won't be useful anymore...he'll think I'm betraying him.'
Kit grabbed the side of the tunnel and took a deep steadying breath, pushing his fear aside and counting slowly in his head to control the sudden wave of emotions.
Before it could pull him under he focused on the memory of light, ocean blue eyes and the feeling of Till's warm hand against the side of his face.
