Chapter 355 - [DD2]: 355

Wang Dong'er pursed her lips, but there was a trace of dissatisfaction in her heart.

'And you say you can see through me? It's been so long, yet you still haven't realized that I'm a girl? You're just a blockhead.'

Wang Dong'er huffed, her gaze toward Su Yu carrying an imperceptible hint of grievance.

'You call me a silly butterfly, but I think you're the silliest one here. You're so dense it might kill you.'

She puffed up her cheeks, her pink-blue eyes staring intently at Su Yu.

Su Yu only glanced at Wang Dong'er briefly and immediately knew that this silly butterfly was surely complaining about him in her heart again.

He couldn't be bothered to respond and simply said, "Go on, be honest. What exactly are you here for this time?"

Wang Dong'er crossed her arms, glaring at Su Yu with an air of indignation. "My sister misses you, so she sent me to find you. You're so heartless. It's been so long, and you never even thought about visiting my sister."

"Now that you're finally out and wandering around like nothing happened, it's as if my sister doesn't even exist to you."

"You—do you even care about her at all?"

Her tone carried three parts indignation, four parts grievance, two parts annoyance, and one part deeply hidden longing.

Through Wang Dong'er's words, she was expressing her dissatisfaction. After all, Su Yu had been avoiding her for two years without a single message. How could she not have some complaints?

No matter how strong she appeared, she was still a girl deeply in love, in the stage where she most wanted to be with her beloved.

Two years of no Su Yu—there was no way it had been easy for her.

Compared to Wang Dong'er's longing for Su Yu, his feelings for her were surely far less intense.

After all, with the Snow Empress and Zhang Lexuan constantly by his side, and his attention divided by the trials, Su Yu barely had any time or energy to think about her.

It wasn't that Su Yu didn't care for Wang Dong'er—he simply didn't have much time to think about her.

Faced with Wang Dong'er's questioning, Su Yu's expression grew slightly complex and peculiar.

"Your... sister, how is she?"

Feigning ignorance, Su Yu asked with a hint of guilt, as though he still hadn't figured out Wang Dong'er's secret.

"Hmph, what do you think?"

"She's doing terribly, all thanks to a certain someone with no conscience."

Wang Dong'er huffed, as if she had the upper hand, pointing and criticizing Su Yu.

Su Yu chuckled lightly, taking a sip of red wine. "What else?"

"What else what?" Wang Dong'er was confused by the question.

"Other than your sister, is there another reason for your visit?" Su Yu asked.

"No, no!" Wang Dong'er shook her little head like a rattle drum.

Su Yu uncrossed his legs, set the wine glass on the coffee table, and smiled faintly. "Not telling me, huh? If you won't, then I won't entertain you anymore. You're free to leave."

"What do you mean?" Wang Dong'er was stunned.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm asking you to leave. Why are you still here?" Su Yu spread his hands.

Wang Dong'er: "???????"

She pointed at herself in disbelief. "You're... you're kicking me out?"

"Su Yu, you're kicking me out?"

"Well, you're the one being dishonest. You even dared to lie to me. Wang Dong looks like you've grown bold." Su Yu said with a faint smile.

Wang Dong'er was momentarily speechless, her indignation vanishing. She scooted closer to Su Yu and tugged lightly at his sleeve.

"What are you doing?" Su Yu looked at her with a blank expression.

Wang Dong'er lowered her head and mumbled, "I... I was wrong."

"What? I didn't hear you." Su Yu raised an eyebrow.

Wang Dong'er lifted her head, suppressing her embarrassment, and shouted, "I said... I was wrong!"

"What did you do wrong?" Su Yu asked with a smile.

"I... I shouldn't have lied to you." Wang Dong'er looked defeated, like a rooster that had lost a fight.

She had originally planned to tease Su Yu, but after a few words, he had completely turned the tables on her.

Su Yu's gesture of sending her away had scared her—it was the first time he had ever spoken so harshly to her.

A certain silly butterfly could never win against someone as cunning as Su Yu.

From the side, Shui Lingguang watched all this with an amused smile. "This girl doesn't seem all that bright."

Meanwhile, outside the room, Tai Tan, who had been closely monitoring the situation, saw Wang Dong'er being bullied and immediately widened his bull-like eyes.

"You little brat, Su Yu! How dare you bully my Dong'er! I won't let you get away with this!"

Tai Tan was about to burst in and kidnap Su Yu, ready to carry him off.

As for Niu Tian's instructions, those were long forgotten. After all, he had realized there was no Mu Wu present, just a mere girl. Tai Tan didn't take her seriously at all.

But just as Tai Tan was about to act, a large hand silently landed on his shoulder.

Startled, Tai Tan turned around to see Haibodong smiling at him.

"Busy, are we?" Haibodong asked cheerfully.

Tai Tan froze, forcing a strained smile. "You... you're here too?"

He had only remembered Mu Wu and completely forgotten about Haibodong.

After all, Mu Wu was the one who usually dealt with him, so he had developed a habit of only remembering him.

Seeing that Mu Wu wasn't around, he had gotten excited at the prospect of finally showing off, only to find out another boss had been lurking in the shadows.

How cautious was this Su Yu?

Double protection? Really?

How afraid of death can someone be? Tai Tan grumbled internally.

"Tai Tan, right? I've been itching for a fight. Would you care to spar with me?" Haibodong said with a deceptively kind smile.

"I don't—" Tai Tan barely opened his mouth before Haibodong clamped a hand over it.

"Great, I knew you'd agree. No need to say more."

Without waiting for Tai Tan's reply, Haibodong dragged him off. Moments later, a pitiful wail echoed through the air.

Back in the suite, under Su Yu's relentless questioning, Wang Dong'er finally revealed the true reason for her visit.

"You're saying... your uncle wants to meet me?" Su Yu tapped the armrest of the sofa thoughtfully.

Wang Dong'er lowered her head and murmured a soft "Mhm."

"Then why didn't you just tell me outright?" Su Yu asked.

Wang Dong'er stammered, "I was afraid you wouldn't want to go."

Su Yu chuckled in exasperation and flicked her forehead, making her wince and cover her head, looking at him with teary eyes.

"Is that all the trust you have in me? Do you think I'm the kind of person who shirks responsibility?"

Su Yu raised his hand, about to flick her forehead again, but seeing her pitiful expression, he couldn't help softening.

After all, Wang Dong was Wang Dong'er—he knew this all too well. It was just that a certain silly butterfly naively thought her secret was still safe.

"You, you... what should I even say to you?"

Su Yu shook his head and sighed, "It's getting late today. It's not a good time to go out. Let's wait until tomorrow. First thing in the morning, I'll go with you to the Clear Sky Sect and meet your First and Second Uncles."

"Really?"

Wang Dong'er's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Of course. Do you think I'd lie to you?"

"You big dummy. If you'd just been a little more sincere, how could I possibly refuse you?"

"Meeting the family isn't a big deal. It's not like I haven't done it before." Su Yu rolled his eyes.

Was he afraid of meeting the family?

He dared to flirt with Meng Hongchen right in front of Jing Hongchen. What could Niu Tian and Tai Tan possibly do to intimidate him?

Would he be scared of those two?

If the Divine Realm weren't still around, once his identity as the reincarnated Dragon God was revealed, those two would probably have to kneel before him.

And if they didn't, he'd just beat them into submission.

But since the Divine Realm was still intact, he was keeping a relatively low profile for now.

"Hehe."

Listening to Su Yu, Wang Dong'er chuckled foolishly.

"You are a silly thing." Su Yu ruffled Wang Dong'er's hair, then glanced at the sky outside. "Have you eaten yet?"

Wang Dong'er shook his head gently.

"Then let's eat together. Ling Guang."

Su Yu gave Shui Ling Guang a look.

Understanding immediately, Shui Ling Guang began operating a soul device at the side.

One had to admit, that with the development of soul devices, life was becoming increasingly convenient.

For example, food could now be ordered directly from the room.

"Is she also from Ice God Palace?"

Wang Dong'er looked at Shui Ling Guang curiously, her eyes showing a hint of amazement.

This woman was exceptionally beautiful. Whether in appearance or temperament, she stood out.

Especially her mature aura—a quality Wang Dong'er didn't possess.

She had to admit, Shui Ling Guang was an extraordinarily rare beauty.

"Ling Guang is the Third Guardian of our Ice God Palace, responsible for protecting me."

Su Yu spoke casually.

Wang Dong'er nodded her little head and asked, "What about Guardian Mu Wu?"

"Isn't he always the one protecting you?"

"Mu Wu is guarding the palace. Besides, I feel more comfortable with Ling Guang, and she's candy on the eyes."

Su Yu said offhandedly.

"You... shameless playboy, hmph."

Wang Dong'er pouted with a huff.

Su Yu, unconcerned, replied, "If I weren't a little shameless, who knows where your sister would be now? My first girlfriend was Meng'er."

Wang Dong'er was momentarily speechless, unable to refute.

Call Su Yu a scoundrel?

If Su Yu weren't a scoundrel, who knows how many girls would've never had a chance to be with him?

She managed to get close to him, and now she wanted to block others.

That would be burning bridges. And that's just unethical.

Su Yu began giving Wang Dong'er a lecture, trying to brainwash her.

Wang Dong'er, naive as she was, actually started thinking Su Yu made sense.

She quietly reflected on herself. Was she being too jealous?

Should she stop being so petty around Su Yu?

After all, Meng Hongchen had never said a bad word about Su Yu, nor had she ever tried to stop him from having a harem.

If she kept complaining, wasn't she essentially admitting she was inferior to Meng Hongchen?

How could she possibly be inferior to Meng Hongchen?

Impossible!

Wang Dong'er made up her mind. She decided she couldn't let Su Yu look down on her. If Meng Hongchen could accept it, so could she.

Not the brightest to begin with, Wang Dong'er was utterly led astray by Su Yu's words.

Su Yu, of course, was more than happy with this outcome. For him, a harmonious harem was the best-case scenario.

After a while, the meal Shui Ling Guang ordered was delivered.

When it came to food, Su Yu was always willing to spend, especially with Wang Dong'er around. Shui Ling Guang had ordered quite a feast.

Wang Dong'er's eyes lit up at the sight of the table full of dishes.

"Alright, everyone, sit down and eat. Lan Lan."

Su Yu called out, and Lan Lan, who had been playing with toys, came running over with a pitter-patter and sat beside Su Yu.

"Ling Guang, you sit too."

Su Yu invited Shui Ling Guang to join them. The four of them sat around the table and began enjoying their meal.

Lan Lan held a crab leg in her arms, nibbling on the white crab meat, her big watery eyes fixed on Wang Dong'er, full of curiosity.

She tilted her little head from time to time as if puzzled by something.

Wang Dong'er found it strange and asked, "Little sister, why are you looking at me like that?"

Lan Lan stopped nibbling her crab leg, looked at Wang Dong'er, and curiously asked, "Are you a brother or a sister?"

Lan Lan blinked her big eyes, clearly confused.

She felt that the person in front of her should be a big sister, but why did she look like a big brother?

Su Yu, who had been drinking juice, nearly spat it out. He glanced at Wang Dong'er with a faint smile.

Wang Dong'er was startled and stammered, "Little sister, of course, I'm a brother!"

She hurriedly explained, sneaking glances at Su Yu, trying to gauge his reaction.

But Su Yu seemed unaffected. He calmly set down his cup and said gently, "Lan Lan, Wang Dong is a boy."

Wang Dong was a boy, but Wang Dong'er was a girl.

In truth, there was no such person as Wang Dong—only Wang Dong'er.

The idea of Wang Dong being a boy was a lie from the start.

Su Yu's words were a subtle jab, hinting at the truth, but no one present caught on.

"Really?"

Lan Lan blinked her big eyes, still feeling it was odd.

But since Su Yu said so, she didn't doubt him.

Wang Dong'er breathed a sigh of relief but couldn't help casting a slightly resentful glance at Su Yu.

And this guy claimed he could see right through her? He hadn't figured anything out. What a blockhead.

After dinner, Shui Ling Guang made tea for Su Yu and Wang Dong'er, leaving Wang Dong'er feeling flattered.

For someone so cold and elegant, why did she seem so gentle and virtuous?

The Third Guardian of Ice God Palace—Wang Dong'er didn't even need to think to know she was a powerful Super Douluo.

For such a strong person to pour tea for her, even Wang Dong'er couldn't hide her shock.

"This sister is so kind," Wang Dong'er said sincerely.

Su Yu sipped his tea with a quiet smile.

After a few sips, Su Yu lazily crossed his legs again. "Don't leave tonight. Stay here and sleep. There are plenty of rooms, so pick one."

"You said it~" Wang Dong'er grinned mischievously.

Of course, she hadn't planned on leaving anyway. Now that she was here, she didn't want to go anywhere else.

Su Yu chuckled softly and said no more.

The only reason Wang Dong'er could stay was because she was pretending to be someone she wasn't. If it had been any other man, they'd have been kicked out in an instant.

Even Hai Bodong couldn't stay in this suite, let alone anyone else.

His personal space didn't allow for any other male presence.

"It's still early. Want to play a game?"

Su Yu pulled out a chessboard. Wang Dong'er, bored, nodded in agreement.

But it quickly became apparent she was no match for him.

Before long, after losing more than ten rounds in a row, Wang Dong'er was on the verge of a breakdown.
