In the depths of the void far from the King's Continent, the Sky Emperor chased Rosen all the way to the end of the void.
If he had a choice, the Sky Emperor would have definitely preferred to fight near the Sky Empire.
But Rosen was determined to flee and gave him no chance to pick the battlefield.
He had no choice but to grit his teeth and pursue Rosen—because the longer the delay, the worse it was for him. The power stemming from Fallen Origin was causing him to forget more and more about the King's Game. Along the way, he had already lost a significant portion of related memories.
Seeing that there was no path ahead, even though Rosen wanted to stall for time, he did not hide inside the Mysterious Study Room.
Delaying was to make the Sky Emperor forget even more memories—but as an existence of the same level, if the Sky Emperor went all out to suppress the fallen power, he might still manage to hold it back. So while stalling, Rosen had to ensure the Sky Emperor couldn't suppress it with full power.
Only in a fierce battle could Rosen ensure that the Sky Emperor couldn't fully suppress the influence.
Suddenly, beside Rosen, the Golden Crow Starship appeared. It locked onto the Sky Emperor and launched a stellar arrow with Golden Crow divine fire.
This was the stellar arrow originally fired by the Sword Emperor, which had been devoured and suppressed by the Golden Crow Starship—Rosen had been trying to control it ever since.
With his help, although he hadn't completely mastered it, he could barely release it in battle.
Because there was no Stellar Crossbow to assist, the speed of the stellar arrow only barely approached the speed of light.
In the Sky Emperor's hand appeared a giant cyan bow—this was the extraordinary artifact Heavenfeather Bow, a half-step Immortal God-Demon level item, capable of turning all celestial phenomena—even the sky of an entire world—into arrows.
Although it still couldn't compare to the Stellar Crossbow, he was definitely no waste like the Sword Emperor.
The Heavenfeather Bow summoned a thunder arrow out of thin air—space flashed, and it clashed with the stellar arrow.
At the same time, Rosen wielded the Wrath of the Dragon God, transformed into a sniper rifle. The Omniscient Demon Eye locked onto the Sky Emperor, firing a continuous stream of mental bullets constructed from Origin Mind Energy.
And the energy Rosen converted wasn't ordinary—it was made from Eternal Fallen Source.
Enhanced by dozens of different sequence passive skills, each mind bullet was no weaker than an arrow from the Heavenfeather Bow.
In the past, Rosen would have never spent his Eternal Origin this extravagantly. This time, he truly went all-in.
Although all the Fallen bullets were intercepted by the Heavenfeather Bow, the Sky Emperor was very clear—this wasn't good news.
Each energy bullet that was shot down exploded, releasing Eternal Fallen Source upon collapse.
Now, the power of corruption on the battlefield was growing ever stronger. The Sky Emperor could feel his memories of the King's Game fading even faster. He hadn't expected the Holy Grail Emperor to turn the misfortune of the Fallen Forbidden Zone into fortune and truly master the Eternal Fallen Source without suffering side effects.
Desperate for a quick battle, the Sky Emperor now realized—without paying a tremendous price, there was no way he could kill the Holy Grail Emperor.
What is the sky? Look up—and all you see is the sky.
Whether it's wind, rain, thunder, lightning, white clouds, or blue skies…Whether it's the sun, moon, stars, or the cosmic void—all of these fall within the domain of the sky.
The Sky Emperor was not like those kings who relied on their kingdoms' strength to ascend as false gods. He was a true master of the Law Fusion Path, a peak-level true god who had created his own Sky Law.He had once tried and failed to open an Immortal World—and survived.
Even at the peak of the Fallen Emperor's power, the Sky Emperor had never considered himself much weaker.
In fact, back when the Fallen Emperor was destroying the Four Great Kingdoms, he secretly stole part of the game permissions, using that advantage to become the biggest beneficiary after the Fallen Emperor's downfall. He created countless incarnations and had them lie dormant across various kingdoms.
He thought the King's Game would fall easily into his hands. Once awakened, he would slaughter all other kingdoms and create the strongest empire.
But one unexpected incident after another followed—first encountering the Holy Grail Emperor, then the Holy Spirit Emperor—both monstrous foes.
Even the Sword Emperor, a mere true god, managed to establish an empire using his treasure—and it cost the Sky Emperor one of his lives.
Worse still, his three most important incarnations—Black Iron, Silver, and Gold, second only to his main body—were all destroyed.
The Sky Emperor, plagued by misfortune, had long accumulated boundless fury. But he had suppressed it again and again, calculating gains and losses.
Now, there was no need to endure anymore. The Sky Emperor, without hesitation, unleashed his trump cards.
One after another, arrows formed from extraordinary stars locked onto the Holy Grail Emperor and launched in a volley from the Heavenfeather Bow.
Each arrow seemed alive, piercing directly through the Fallen mental bullets upon contact.
That was because these extraordinary stars also contained Eternal Origin—but specifically, they contained Eternal Dark Sun Origin.
All of them had been gathered from the destroyed Heaven Realm of the old world. Like the Star Realm of the new world, the old Heaven Realm was closest to the Dark Sun and was thus the first to be corrupted and transformed into Dark Sun Stars.
Later, when the Heaven Realm was jointly destroyed by all Great True Gods, it was then that the Sky Emperor obtained part of the Dark Sun Stars.
Though both contained Eternal Origin, the Sky Emperor firmly believed that the Heavenfeather Bow's power was vastly superior to the divine-level firearm held by the Holy Grail Emperor.
Rosen looked at the incoming arrows formed of Dark Sun Stars and gave the Sky Emperor a look of pity.
If I had known this was one of his trump cards, there would've been no need to fear him so much.
The Dark Sun Heavenly Eye on his forehead opened, causing all the Dark Sun Stars to immediately turn against the Immortal Will the Sky Emperor had planted within them.
Every arrow's trajectory shifted. They skimmed past Rosen and were finally captured by the domain he had opened.
The Sky Emperor, though a bit furious, quickly revealed his second trump card.
With a single shot—not yet near—Rosen already felt the sky collapsing.
Before his eyes appeared the skies of the Sky Empire, pressing down from above.
And then, the skies of dozens of kingdoms and several empires followed suit, pressing down in unison.
Though only the skies fell without the ground collapsing, the terrifying pressure still made Rosen feel utterly restricted.
The Law Domain he had cast was crushed. Spatial teleportation and time acceleration were both suppressed.
Yet all of this was still not enough to threaten his life.
Suddenly, Rosen felt the void darken—a pair of wings wide enough to cover the sky had enveloped the entire space.
Next came spatial shift—he was transferred by the Sky Emperor into the Sky Empire.
Now at close range, the Sky Emperor received a full boost from all citizens and territories of the Sky Empire. In his peak form, he tore both wings from his body.
Countless feathers flew through the Sky Empire. In an incredibly short time, every subject had their life and spirit harvested by the feathers.
All feathers then gathered into a single arrow—an arrow containing the life essence of all subjects of the Sky Empire.
Rosen was still under the suppression of countless sky-forged arrows and had no choice but to activate his Radiant Throne, triggering Law Immunity and Damage Transfer, to forcibly endure this fatal arrow by transferring all damage to the Corruption Forbidden Zone.
It was the perfect opportunity to use the Sky Emperor's power to destroy the Forbidden Zone and allow its power to better merge into the Terror Paradise.
Seeing that even this failed to injure the Holy Grail Emperor, the Sky Emperor held his final trump card with a cold chill in his heart.
He had already given the Holy Grail Emperor the highest possible estimation, and for that reason, he hadn't hesitated to use forbidden magic, sacrificing all his subjects just to weaken the Holy Grail Emperor's defenses, in preparation for a final, fatal blow.
But now the Holy Grail Emperor wasn't just unweakened—he still had energy to spare and was defending effortlessly.
Under such conditions, could his final card even kill the Holy Grail Emperor?
The Sky Emperor had already realized that he was very likely to lose, but at this point, there was no retreat.
His gaze fell on the Judgement Emperor and the Scorching-Eyed Emperor.
"If you two are willing to help me win, I swear I will resurrect you both and grant you positions second only to mine."
The Sky Emperor made his promise within his domain.
"What do you want me to do?" the Judgement Emperor replied without hesitation.
The Scorching-Eyed Emperor saw that there was no other option. Either bet on the Sky Emperor keeping his word and reviving them, or die alongside him at the Holy Grail Emperor's hands. Though unwilling in his heart, he could only stake his life on this gamble.
Just how much power could a peak Great True God unleash when going all-out with no regard for his life?
Though they had no divine kingdoms left, their territories were taken, and the fire of their civilizations extinguished, the Judgement Emperor and the Scorching-Eyed Emperor still possessed their self-created laws, as well as their god cores, god fire, divine essence, divine souls, divine bodies, and immortal will.
Sacrificing all of these was enough to allow a Great True God to temporarily fight beyond their level.
However, the aftermath was certain death. Typically, even when cornered, a Great True God would never choose such a path.
Because if you're willing to throw away your life right from the start, so can your enemy—and the enemy can also choose to run.
Unless there's an undying grudge between them, fights between Great True Gods are ultimately about profit. If there's no benefit, it's not worth it for a Great True God to stake their life. That's why battles between them rarely begin with a life-or-death brawl.
Normally, it begins with probing and attrition, gradually determining the victor bit by bit.
In the end, even if the loser wants to drag their opponent down in a desperate counterattack, by then, both sides would have suffered significant depletion from prolonged battle.
Even then, the dying retaliation would leave behind some reserve force—it would never be a truly all-out suicidal assault.
Because for a Great True God, falling in battle doesn't mean it's the end.
Since defeat was already determined, if the loser had to make a choice, they would definitely seize the opportunity to resurrect. Resurrection wasn't something that came from lying down and waiting. Usually, a Great True God would rely on the burst of a final counterattack to send off a portion of their immortal will by any means necessary.
As long as even a fragment of immortal will escaped, the difficulty of resurrection would be drastically reduced.
Compared to that, dragging the enemy to die with them was secondary.
They weren't children. They were old foxes who had faced countless life-and-death struggles—they clearly knew which option was more beneficial.
And yet now, the Judgement Emperor and the Scorching-Eyed Emperor were really going all in from the very start.
Even if it meant losing the chance to resurrect on their own, they were determined to severely wound Rosen at any cost.
If previously, preserving a bit of immortal will gave them a ten percent chance of revival, then doing this now meant their odds were less than one in ten thousand. If the Sky Emperor broke his promise, their resurrection would be nearly impossible.
The Scorching-Eyed Emperor burned away everything, leaving only the Scorching Eye on his forehead.
That Scorching Eye had the power to control and fuse all flames. Through ocular arts, it could brand those flames into an enemy's sea of consciousness to directly attack the divine soul and godhood. However, right now, there were no flames within the eye—only the pure enhancement of flame by ocular technique.
The flame to be manipulated was nearby. The Judgement Emperor burned himself to ashes with the Judgement Divine Flame.
Everything about him was merged into the divine flame. Then, the immortal will lingering in the divine flame took the initiative to cooperate with the Scorching-Eyed Emperor's control. The Judgement Divine Flame, under the amplification of the Scorching Eye's ocular arts, was finally sent into Rosen's sea of consciousness at the cost of the eye's destruction.
Rosen had been on guard for the Sky Emperor's next move when he suddenly felt a terrifying divine fire erupt in his sea of consciousness.
It was only because his sea of consciousness had merged with the Secret Tome Library that he wasn't instantly incinerated. In the past, such an attack would've destroyed him completely—even his Eternal Godhood would have been hard-pressed to survive. He hadn't expected the Judgement Emperor and the Scorching-Eyed Emperor to go to such lengths.
Unfortunately, the Judgement Divine Flame still couldn't burn down the Secret Tome Library. Instead, Rosen took the opportunity to plant the Eternal Root.
The Judgement Divine Flame couldn't destroy the Eternal Root and could only be parasitized bit by bit.
As the Eternal Root began to sprout and grow, Rosen threw into the flame all the treasures representing law from various kingdoms, the Law of Royal Authority, legal scrolls from the Radiant Kingdom and Immortal Empire, and even a portion of Sequence 2 "Jurist"'s extraordinary source.
Rosen was preparing to forge his own Emperor's Codex using this Judgement Divine Flame.
A codex represented law and could strengthen the king's royal decree and emperor's imperial edict-type abilities.
While such abilities were mostly effective in overpowering the weak, and not very useful against evenly matched opponents, the true core of a codex lay not in domination but in stabilizing order.
And stability of order would allow Rosen to wield national fate with greater strength.
Since he was going to craft the Emperor's Codex sooner or later, he figured he might as well use the materials they delivered right to his doorstep and make them suffer the consequences.
Though completely unharmed and even benefiting from it, Rosen still acted as if he had suffered a serious blow.
As expected, the Sky Emperor couldn't see through the acting enhanced by the Actor Sequence and unhesitatingly played his final trump card.
Truthfully, he had considered whether the Judgement Emperor and the Scorching-Eyed Emperor's attack could even harm the Holy Grail Emperor.
But at this point, he had no other choice. If even this failed, it could only mean he had truly lost.
The Sky Emperor drew an arrow crafted from a vertebra. It was a spine he had discovered in the old world. When he found it, it had already suffered fatal damage—shattered inch by inch, with its inner origin nearly drained.
Beyond that, the Sky Emperor had discovered a stone bone fragment embedded inside the vertebra.
It was precisely that stone fragment that nearly destroyed the entire vertebra.
The Sky Emperor had studied it—unless he was mistaken, this was the vertebra of an Apocalypse.
And that stone fragment most likely originated from Eternal Life.
The Sky Emperor spent millions of years forging the vertebra into an arrow and refining the stone fragment into its arrowhead.
This single arrow was enough to pose a tremendous threat even to immortal godfiends—for a Great True God, it was almost certain death.
As the Apocalypse Bone Arrow was nocked onto the string of the Skyfeather Bow, nearly all of the Sky Emperor's power surged into it.
Then he loosed the arrow. It vanished instantly, descending from the heavens like divine retribution, piercing through Rosen's crown chakra, transfixing his sea of consciousness, and piercing his neck—finally getting stuck in his bone. If it had gone a little lower, it would have torn through his chest and abdomen, hitting vital organs.
And even after that, Rosen still didn't die. The Sky Emperor, despite being weakened from draining all his power, instantly restored himself to full strength.
If he could modify game data to resurrect, he could naturally also modify it to restore his condition.
Not only that—the Apocalypse Bone Arrow returned to his hand.
The Skyfeather Bow loosed a second and a third arrow in an instant. The Apocalypse Bone Arrow kept returning to his hand, and the Sky Emperor repeatedly modified data to restore his condition.
Finally, with the third arrow, Rosen fell.
From beginning to end, the Radiant Throne's defense never activated.
That was because the most unique feature of the Apocalypse Bone Arrow was its ability to pierce through all non-physical defenses.
Rosen never expected the Radiant Throne to fail. Any thought of dodging came too late to react.
Even the Secret Tome Library in his sea of consciousness was pierced three times by the arrow.
Sensing his shattered Eternal Godhood, Rosen began consuming his first modification privilege from the Eternal Game's origin source.
Because both sides had privileges, modifying each other's data was meaningless.
Spending ten parts of Eternal Game Origin to attack could be blocked by the opponent's defense using only six parts.
So relatively speaking, the most efficient use of the privilege was to modify one's own game data.
Rosen had no intention of taking hits without retaliating. Since the Radiant Throne's defense couldn't be relied upon, he took up the Immortal Holy Sword, donned the Immortal Crown, activated all sorts of passive skills from melee-related Beyonder sequences, and charged through the void, already closing in on the Sky Emperor.
The Sky Emperor gritted his teeth and kept shooting. Two more arrows struck Rosen fatally—at the same time, Rosen got in close and slashed him several times.
The two sides practically perished together. At that point, it came down to who had more Eternal Game Origin remaining.
After perishing three times, the Sky Emperor's final arrow wasn't aimed at Rosen.
He could no longer modify his data or recover his state—he had even forgotten how to modify it.
At that moment, he felt that dying outright was better than struggling in vain.
In this desperate battle of mutual depletion, the one who couldn't endure first was actually him.
So with that final arrow, he planned to send off the Apocalypse Bone Arrow, and along with it, his immortal will.
As long as he remained alive, he would wait for a chance to take revenge on the Holy Grail Emperor.
As the Apocalypse Bone Arrow flew out, Rosen activated the Emperor's Verdict with his Holy Sword and cleaved off the Sky Emperor's head.
He couldn't keep that arrow, which contained both the Eternal Compatibility Origin and the Eternal Omniscience Origin,
—but he could anchor the Secret Tome Library's Dimensional Gate onto it.
That arrow had pierced into his sea of consciousness and merged with the library several times—how could Rosen have not laid any traps?
After being decapitated, the Sky Emperor did not resist further. His immortal will had already been corrupted by corruption and fall.
Seeing that the Sky Emperor had given up resisting, Rosen didn't torment him—he granted him a swift and painless death.
At the very moment the Sky Emperor truly died, not only did his game authority flow into Rosen's body,
—the entire King's Game world and the remnants of the Monarch Continent were also completely absorbed, flowing into the Miracle Tarot Card of the Immortal Emperor.
The final miracle trait, King's Game, was activated. With this trait, Rosen could now fully master the King's Game.
He could clearly sense that the source seed of the Eternal Game Origin had been merged into the Immortal Emperor's Miracle Tarot Card.
At the same time, he obtained the final civilization flame of the Sky Empire.
The Miracle Flame finally matured to its limit and began to transform.
Once the transformation was complete, it would be able to repair the Eternal Flame Origin's source seed—
equivalent to acquiring two source seeds at once.
Though neither of those source seeds originated from Eternal Life,
they both absolutely contained the potential to advance to Eternity.
