Summary:
A couple of kids vs an endless and invincible army
"I just had to get involved, I just had to get involved." Ponyhead grumbled as she flew around the Monster temple, delivering supplies and health junk to all the people that had taken shelter in the castle. The past week was pretty hella hectic, and Pony was dreading every minute of it.
Bad enough a bunch of space jerks came out of nowhere and tried to stomp her Q-fly, but now a bunch of metal jerks were stomping all around the neighborhood and trying to ruin all her B-fly's hard work.
It was just one jerkwad after another, like someone pressed a button for … whatever the opposite of a party was. Nobody's been able to have any fun at all. So now she felt…ugh…responsible….for making sure everyone here could feel just a little less crapy than how things really were. "My besties better appreciate the hard work I put in for them." She said, before a familiar weight landed on her head. "… Q-fly?"
"Ugh, I hate instant teleportation." Said Q-fly grumbled before he rolled off, along with those other rock lady's that were also his family. "Pony? What's going on? Where are we?"
"Eclipsa's castle." She answered with confusion. "I thought the queens and H-Poo managed to lock everyone out of Mewni?"
"Heh, H-Poo, gonna remember that." The fun rock lady, Amethyst, she thought it was, snorted. "Wait, you mean the block on the portals was on purpose?"
"We'll yeah, how else are we supposed to keep everyone safe?" She rolled her eyes as a large figure flew past the window.
"Safe from … what …" The Pearl lady looked at the knight chasing after the flying giant, looking paler than before. "No … it can't be…"
"What can't be.." The short blue lady that disappeared for a while stopped herself mid sentence and gasped. "No….it can't be…"
"A Solarian Knight." The short red lady that also disappeared for a while glared with clenched fists. "You were right to lock away Mewni."
"A Solarian!?" Q-fly gasped in shock and fear. "Like Mina?! There's more than one of her now!?"
"Yeah, they've been popping out of nowhere ever since you left with the giant scary rock lady's. They have super armor that even magic has a hard time working against, and they just run and hit any monsters they find." Pony winced. "Although they've loosened their definition of monster quite a bit."
"What do you mean?" The Pearl Lady asked, concerned.
"The first kingdom they attacked was Spider-Bite's, because the people were, there words not mine, as ugly as monsters." Pony shivered. "Then they drove the Merfolk to the bottom of the ocean for 'smelling like fishy monsters', and then they targeted the pie folk for 'burning the crusts'." That last one was the only serious transgression in Pony's opinion.
"So Mina finally fell off the deep end." Amethyst grumbled. "Alright, i'll target the feet and-"
"No!" The Pearl lady shouted. "If we're doing this we need to be careful, and treat this seriously!"
"Well look at Globgor, he's taking her on." Q-fly was right, the giant was fighting pretty well, shrinking to dodge and growing to strike … until they pulled out a red sword. "What is …" Q-fly looked sick. "That sword is wrong, that thing feels wrong."
"No, no!" They all looked out the window to hear Eclipsa call out to her hubby. "Globgor, get away now! Stop fighting and run!"
"You know I can't do that!" The monster man went in for another head strike, making the metal jerk outside take out the sword and brung it down on his arm, leaving behind a bright glowing red scar across the arm. "Aggh! My arm! Why does..!?" Globgor said as he began shrinking. "No, I'm not doing this…why am i…"
"Sugilite will keep Mina busy, the rest of you get Globgor to safety." The blue lady spoke with haste.
"Are you really okay with that?" Q-fly said concernedly.
"Sugilate won't be attacking innocent people, that's a guarantee." The red lady nodded with determination.
"Just play defense man, leave the fighting to us for a change." Amethyst patted Q-fly on the back as she jumped out with the other two ladies, glowing as they melded and became big … really big.
"Hey tin can!" Shouted the massive pile of muscle. "Try picking on someone closer to your hitting range!" With that, they threw a freaking wrecking ball at the knight, who was sent flying back.
"Damn, with how much you've complained about them, I never took these rock lady's for a couple of bad asses." Then again, Lapis was pretty fun and Peridot was fun for a complete nerd.
"Yeah, I got a really awesome family, not the time to focus on it." Q-fly began to run outside along with the rest of them. "Glad to see you're okay, Ponyhead."
"Of course I am. Someone needs to keep the party going, and that someone is always going to be me, always!" Even in the face of absolute peril, someone needed to give her B-fly and Q-fly something to be happy about.

Marco jumped off the wall just a few milliseconds before Jasper tore through it. That was pretty much how the last ten minutes have been, close calls and surviving by the hairs on their necks. Kelly's new sword was not effective at all, bouncing off of Jasper's skin as she just charged at them. "Great, as if she wasn't powerful enough, magic upgrade."
"Like it wasn't hard enough to fight her without it!" Marco complained as his punches were basically pats on the back against Jasper's thick hide. There wasn't much any of them could do on the physical front. "So you've gone from mindless monster to mindless lackey! You just keep falling further and further!"
"SHUT UP! MINA IS STRONG! JASPER IS STRONG! ROSE WILL DIE!" They shouted, clearly not being in the best mental condition, spin dashing at them once more as he pulled them into an empty room.
"Looks like whatever Mina did to her didn't restore her psyche all that well. Damn it." Marco groaned. "If we had Star we might have been able to put in some damage."
"Well she's not here, and neither is Steven." Kelly muttered. Pink State probably could've put a dent in her, that or his spit could've at least brought back the sanity. "We need a new plan man."
He thought it over, everything they could do with the two of them … "I'll drag her away. She's single minded enough that she could focus on me while you run for help."
"Dude, that's a terrible idea. You're going to be bulldozed in five seconds if you go out there alone." Kelly blunted reminded him of the obvious.
"Probably, but I don't think the two of us are going to get out of this in one piece." He answered. "Better me than you."
"Better me than you…how the heck does that mushy brain work?" Kelly bonked him on the head.
"I haven't been doing much lately." He answered. "I keep pushing for mental help but it's rejected and ostracized me, I keep trying to fight harder but we reached a level where that does nothing but scratch people, and for the last few months every plan ends in cataclysmic disaster."
"Okay, first of all, you're terrible at psychology, just admit it to yourself and get it over with." Kelly grunted. "Second of all, the self sacrificing bit is all bullshit to this entire group. It's either all or nothing."
"NOTHING!" Jasper broke down the wall between them, rushing at Kelly and swinging, forcing the girl to block with her hair as they were both launched into the wall.
"As…I was…saying." Kelly cracked her neck and grabbed Marco by the arm, pulling him out of the wall as Jasper charged through another wall. "If we can survive a trio of ancient anti magic psychos, there's nothing that's going to convince me that we CAN'T outrun and outwit one super dense rock that's too stupid to know she's past her time!" She specifically called out that list bit to Jasper
"I WILL CRUSH YOU!" They began spin dashing once more, going through multiple walls one more.
Looks like his friends were just too stubborn to let him have that heroic sacrifice…he couldn't have been happier for it. "Okay, she doesn't look like she can change directions when she's rolling…we can spring a trap, something to slow her down."
"With what?" Kelly asked. "Not even the sword that was made to poof gems works on her skin anymore. We're gonna need something stronger than steel to even keep her stuck."
"Well, we are in Mewni, and Magic is in the air." Marco shoved his hand into Kelly's hair and picked out the pad full of Glyphs they had in store. "The right combos can make whatever we want. If we figure that out, we can have her charge right into it and make our escape."
"DEATH TO ALL ROSES!" Jasper cried out again as she made several swipes at Kelly, who just narrowly dodged it.
"Then get the combo going, we can't keep this up forever!" Kelly jumped and ducked at the speed of light, the bulky beast gem not even giving her nanoseconds to rest.
"Got it, got it…" Marco looked through it as he drew a circle on a nearby wall, sweating nervously as he tried to recall Luz's lessons on glyph magic. "You got this Diaz, it's just chemistry, really really weird chemistry…"
"LESS TALKING MORE DYING!" Jasper cried out as Kelly jumped on top of the beast.
Alright, each realm has different main types, on Mewni it was Earth, Electric, Gravity, and Dark. Just need to set it up in the right order, make a circuit that absorbs kinetic energy along with potential energy, allowing for a five minute head start they would desperately need at the moment. And … "Toss her to me!" Marco shouted.
"GLADY!" Kelly jumped off the best. "Hey Jasper, Marco over there thinks you're a complete wuss that's too weak to even be a pebble! Mina must be truely pathetic and stupid to consider you strong!"
"MINA…NOT….PATHETIC!" The anger was quickly turned towards his direction as Jasper rolled up into a fiery ball again, coming at him with the raw ferocity of an asteroid.
Wait for it … wait for it … now! Marco jumped at the last second, letting Jasper hit the Glyph he touched … as no loud explosion was heard. "Alright …" He caught his breath as his life flashed before his eyes. "We have five minutes, maybe less, to start running."
"No complaints here!" Kelly quickly made her way to the clearest exit, grabbing him by the shoulder. "What kind of spell did you use?"
"Basically I trapped her in a zero-point energy field…think of it like a tractor beam but spread out over an area." Marco mentally patted himself on the back for it. "It'll keep her still just long enough to reach the others…something tells this wasn't the end of it."
"Dude, they're the weirdness magnets." Kelly reminded him. "They're probably dealing with something ten times worse than this."

Pearl helped carry Globgor into the bedroom. "Don't worry darling, it's going to be okay." Eclipsa assured her husband. "Everything will be fine." Sadly, Pearl knew otherwise.
"She…she really brought those things back." Steven's eyes contained the justifiable amount of fear one needed to have for this situation. "I've read the stories of how insane and brutal they were…are they all really just as bloodthirsty as Solaria?"
"I'm unsure … Mina was the only survivor, and she may be even worse than Solaria herself was." Pearl said with a hint of horror. "The fact that more warriors could exist at all is … astounding."
"I don't care how my mother's warriors came back into being, what I care about is getting my family and my people to safety." Eclipsa said firmly as she rubbed Globgor's arm. "We sent out evacuation orders for everyone before closing Mewni off, but even then, that was only so much. We are essentially mice trapped in the multiverse's largest cage with rabid cats."
"We shouldn't have come here, we should have stayed behind." Pearl muttered aloud.
"No, we can help." Steven said firmly, licking his hand. "I'll heal-"
"NO!" Pearl grabbed his arm and pulled him back with more force than intended, accidentally sending him onto the floor. "Don't, please don't!"
"..Why?" Steven pulled away, but fortunately didn't try to heal Globgor otherwise.
"Steven …" She leaned down to his eye level. "Solaria … she was obsessed with destroying monsters without remorse … when she learned Rose could heal them, she worked day and night to discover a way to counter that …" She looked at the white wounds. "That blade inflicts a special kind of damage, it absorbs energy and expands." She could see Eclipsa's eyes widen. "You'll just remove what little time he has left."
"He can't grow, he can't move, it'll just spread and spread until…" Eclipsa couldn't bring herself to finish.
"When the wounds fully envelop its target … they're deleted down to their very soul." Pearl said bluntly. "The only cure would be getting him to the Magic Sanctuary, but seeing our current predicament…" She paused as the thunderous roars of Sugilate echoed from the outside. "There isn't a monster on Mewni that won't be targeted and executed just as immediately."
"I … I …" Steven began to tear up. "Why would they go this far …" He clenched his fist. "They're not evil … they didn't need to do this …"
"Hate…isn't…rational…Steven." Glogor weakly spoke out in spite of his wounds. "Both sides….have been exposed….to an irrational cycle of misinformation and ignorance…I was in a similar vein of savages until I met my darkest light." He held onto Eclipsa's hand. "Some do it out of desperation, some out of fear of the unknown, or of misplaced honor and admiration."
"We've seen plenty of those types. Just like with Jasper." Pearl placed her hand onto Steven's shoulder and hugged the boy. "You've gone far and beyond what your mother hoped to achieve, and I couldn't be prouder of you for it…but there's just going to be some people you can never change."
"... I guess you're right." He muttered, giving her a pat on the back. "... Are you still up for Obsidian? I feel we don't have any other options here if Sugilite still hasn't won yet."
"I'm afraid that you're right. Obsidian back in the day was our last resort against Mina, it only never went through due to Amethyst's inexperience at the time." Pearl admitted.
"Oh Steven…I'm terribly sorry you've gotten dragged back into my family drama again." Eclipsa sat down on the bed her husband rested on. "I tried to keep my mother's past as buried as possible.
"If it's any consolation, apparently me and Star dragged our daughter into the same situation."
"...Your what now?" Eclipsa looked rightfully concerned and terrified at the information without the given context.
"Long story, just know the family tree just gets bigger and weirder the more time passes." Steven rolled his eyes as he began running out. Pearl ran after, ready to support him in his time of need.

Star … wasn't really feeling well at the moment. She's been blasting this bastard for the last half an hour but they still, kept, moving! She wasn't even sure if the person inside was feeling it at all! "Just! Stand! DOWN!" She blasted more black flames at the knight.
"DEATH TO ALL THAT OPPOSE SOLARIA'S WILL!" The maniac in the metal suit deflected every single attack with that STUPID glowing red sword that cut through all her summons like butter.
"Solaria was a maniacal maniac who didn't understand one, simple, thing." Star charged up more energy. "Monsters … aren't … EVIL!" And fired a laser straight at their chest.
"Yeah, go Star!" Jana cried out as she used the glyphs they packed to bind the knight by the feet with magic vines.
"YOU ARE A DELUDED MEWMAN, GONE MAD FROM DARKNESS!" The moron shouted as they strained against their legs. "WE WILL CLEANSE YOU IN THE NAME OF SOLARIA!" They broke free, raising their foot over Jana in an effort to crush her.
" No…you…WON'T!" Star concentrated her arms to create her rainbow fist spell, except now obviously made up of darker hues of purple, and used it to put extra power in her body to keep the foot from coming down. " You people are filled with hate and lies from a bygone and backwards era! It didn't work then and it's not going to work now!"
"YOU KNOW THE SAYING, IF YOU DON'T SUCCEED AT FIRST, TRY AGAIN!" They pressed harder down on her, small cracks visible in the rainbow.
"That is the definition of insanity!" She put in more juice, sending them falling onto their back as she panted.
"WE…WILL…PRESERVE MEWNI'S GLORY...WE WON'T LET CHANGE HAPPEN…"
" The world has already changed!" The rainbow became more armor-like as she jumped on top of the breastplate and kept pounding it down more and more. "And it's not! Changing! BACK!" With each attack, she sent more and more powers, dark burns crawling all around her body, as she finally felt herself reach a limit for the first time in Darkstar form.
"Star!" Jana called out as she fell off the knight from exhaustion. "You went pretty nuclear back there…you doing alright?"
"I can't … keep this … up." Star hit the ground, the burns on her arms still there. "I think using all that dark magic is finally leaving its mark on me." Because all magic had to bite her in the butt eventually, because the universe hated her.
"A STRONG SPIRIT …" The knight, against all odds… got up with nothing but a burnt chest plate for all that effort. "I WILL HONOR YOU WITH A NOBEL DEATH!" They raised their sword, ready to swing it down on the two of them.
"Any regrets Jana?" Star asked, her arms weak and burnt, no magic bond with Steven to boost her power..heck, no brother in general. It was safe to say they were screwed.
"Hm…guess it was that I never got to become queen of the underworld, and I never made it to graduation where I would've performed a demon summoning in front of the whole school."
"Yeah…finishing highschool would've been amazing." Star laughed as the sword was coming close to them. "I'm just glad Steven finally got to fix homeworld…he deserves that one win at least."
The blade was coming in close and hot, the heat from it practically burning their skins from this close distance. It was a shame she couldn't say goodbye to her brother, dad, or.. "STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!" A familiar voice shouted as blue magic hit the sword's handle and blasted it out of the Solarian's hand.
"Mom!?" Star shouted, half relieved and confused at seeing her mom in butterfly mode attacking the knight. "How'd you…?"
Mom raised her hands and began speaking fast and to the point as they sparked, dark veins forming across her arms as she did. "I call the darkness unto me, From deepest depths of Earth and sea, From ancient evils unawoken, Break the one who can't be broken. To blackest night I pledge my soul, And crush my heart to burning coal, To summon forth the deathly power, To see my hated foe devoured." Never raising her voice once, she shot straight through the skull of the armor, the knight almost frozen, before falling to the ground. No movement or sound was heard from the fallen warrior.
"Mom…you.."
"It's alright sweetie, this time me and Eclipsa had the same end goal.." Her mom said weakly as the dark veins grew on her arms all over again. "We both wanted to see our family protected by any means necessary." It made her feel warm inside to hear that. "Although I do have to question how you actually managed to break in this time."
"Magic well, the realm of magic may or may not be facing the apocalypse." She turned to their now matching dark veins. "And it might be due to our use of dark magic."
"I'll choose to ignore that for now…as well as why your face no longer has your hearts." They were in for a long recap when this was all over.
"So Mrs Butterfly." Jana interrupted. "What's the plan?"
There was a thud, more knights approaching. "We survive. Retreat back to the castle for now."
"Couldn't agree more!" Star picked herself up as they began running. "So Mina's gone completely bonkers?"
"Absolutely. If Heckapoo didn't seal off Mewni from the rest of the multiverse, she would've moved onto the next dimension by this point." Mom grimly explained the details. "There's nowhere we can actually run to hide, but fighting is next to impossible." She said as they jumped over a bush. "On the plus side, they've actually left us more or less alone to focus on finding a 'bigger threat'."
"What, you mean like Eclipsa and Glogore?" Jana asked.
"WHERE ARE YOU, ROSE!" The thunderous voice of Mina Loveberry answered her question.
"If there's any luck, you decided that this was too dangerous to bring Steven along, and he's safe on earth thinking we're on vacation." Mom replied, and Star chose to look away and keep running forward. "Star….that is what you did, right?" Star chose to run faster. "RIGHT!?"
========================================================================
Obsidian roared. THAT GUY'S A TOUGHIE, COULDN'T EVENT DENT THAT ARMOR. LUCKILY, WE'RE TOUGHER.They swung their blade, sparks clashing as they slowly pushed the Knight back. We let her go too far, we're not stopping now! Pure unbridled rage filled Obsidian's entire being as her volcanic sword sparked against the plasma blade of the Solarian warrior.
"YET ANOTHER FREAK TO PURGE FROM THIS WORLD!" They shouted, pushing back. "SOON WE'LL LIVE OUR LIVES FREE FROM YOUR EVIL!"
"SHUT UP!" Obsidian used their four extra arms to deliver Garnetpunches against their side. LOOKS LIKE EVERYONE HAS TO SAY A PIECE OF THEIR MIND AGAINST THIS BITCH! Some things never change. Come on, we just have to keep going at it everyone. We'll deal with this ruffian both swiftly and eloquently, as always!""THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDS TO BE FREED IS ME OF YOUR REPETITIVE BULLCRAP!" Covering two of her hands with black spikey bubbles, they sent a fury of punches into the Solarian's chest.
"DO YOU TRULY THINK THAT YOU'LL SUCCEED HERE!?" The metal maniac spouted out as they swung that damn sword again, making them create Steven's shield, which barely blocked out the force of it as cracks were made in the pink light. "THE WORLD'S ALWAYS GOING TO BE AGAINST FREAKS LIKE YOU!"
"SO WHAT!?"Obsidian spat out lava from their mouths and let it smelt the enemy into the ground. "I DON'T CARE IF I HAVE TO FIGHT TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE, I STILL GET TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE!" They shouted, kicking the bastard into a wall. Okay guys, that's our last heroic speech,my mouth and head already reached the headache stage. YEAH, WE'RE REALLY PUSHING THIS FUSION HARD. THEN LET'S PUSH THEM HARDER!
They charged everything, flames, ice, lightning , SPINNING, light , all of it went into their blade, making it almost resemble a chainsaw, with a faint pink glow connecting and welding it together. With a roar, they charged forward, raising it up and BRING IT DOWN ON THEIR FOE WITH EVERYTHING!
"FOR THE GLORY OF SOLARIA!" The metal maniac proclaimed one more time before trying to bring down their own blade on them, the swords meeting once more, pure brimstone and sparks flew everything as the blade met. The intensity of heat and malice on both sides was so thick it could be considered suffocating.
Obsidian's sword continued to spin, continued to press down more and more, until finally, the sword of the Solarian snapped in half, allowing them to chop the right arm off as well. "NO…THIS CAN'T BE! SOLARIA'S WILL IS INDESTRUCTIBLE!"
"I'M PART DIAMOND…THAT MAKES ME UNBREAKABLE!" With one final shout, Obsidian sent three of their gauntlet-covered fists and punched the helmet off of the Solarain, making the rest of the metal manic's body fall limp to the ground.
That was … exhausting … WE DEFINITELY NEED A REST. WE need to prepare for what's next.
"Steven!" Oh goodie, Star's here. GLAD TO SEE THEY'RE DOING OKAY. Obsidian turned to … an army of knights, so massive and numerous they resembled the rising sun. "We need to keep running, there's no telling when Mina will..!"
"AHHA!" Mina's voice called out as a hit was suddenly felt in their chest, Obsidian feeling themselves fall apart almost instantly.
========================================================================
Mina laughed at the fallen soldier, the 'Crystal Gems' struggling. "Well isn't this a funny little reunion?" Mina smiled as she jumped out of the armor, keeping a solarian sword on hand. "And here I thought you ran away and locked us inside to save your own hide." It seemed like a Rose tactic.
"I…never hid from anything." Rose coughed as she struggled to get her allies to stand. "You're the one that hid for almost half the year, with no word or sign of anything."
"Well it was less hiding and more preparation." She raised her hand. "I mean, how else am I supposed to help the people the Butterfly family ditched and left for chow in the forest?"
"We literally offered free food for everyone, everyone else was just too stubborn and stupid to accept any help!" The tainted princess Star Butterfly growled
"Food from monsters !" She corrected the girl. "You give them homes and shelter like they're people or something, but they're evil freaks we need to kill, isn't that right!?" The Knights began to cheer at her question. "See, now I have more friends to support our cause."
"You don't have friends, you just have a bunch of desperate and ignorant fools willing to blindly obey you without question." Pearl snapped back. "That's not friendship, that's a flimsy foundation for a fascistic empire."
"Well that kinda is the end goal here." Mina shrugged. "Every queen has become corrupt, so our only option is to take it by force and eradicate all who would side with our enemies." She pointed at former Queen Moon with a smile. "I told you you'd regret siding with Rose, didn't I?"
"I don't regret siding with MY SON!" Moon's delusions were still clearly evident. "And you think you can get away with threatening my-"
Mina cut Moon off by placing her sword next to Star's head, inches away from nicking her . "Do you think I careabout who you say she is at this point?" She asked the gem in a malice induced tone. "They defend monsters, they badmouth Solaria, they infect Mewmans and the Commission with her disgusting words, and they hurt Jasper ." She spoke, turning to the gem in question. "I don't even care if you're not even Rose by now, I will tear apart everything you care about and make you beg for the mercy of your companions as they bleed out in front of your eyes, before I finally deliver the finishing blow myself."
Mina gave a wide smile, pulling away as she gave a wave behind her. "And this time I have an ARMY to help! Solarian Knights !" She buffed up. "We don't need food, air, or nourishment, as long as magic floods our veins, and we follow the path of our true queen!"
"GLORY FOR SOLARIA! DEATH TO FREAKS! PURITY FOR MEWNI! NO TO CHANGE!" They chanted, swords raised high with the promise and hopes of their people.
"Ugh, you somehow manage to be worse than the Diamonds." Rose grumbled as they started glowing pink. "And I'm done trying to prove anything to you, you want a fight…" Horns and scales grew over their body as they charged forward. "Then you have a fight!"
Mina laughed as she raised her blade, clashing against their shield. "Fine then, I finally get to finish you off this time!" She pressed on, letting her power flow as she pushed harder and harder. "It doesn't even matter if I lose, these aren't my ideals, these are the ideals of Mewni, and they will live on through our cause!" The knights began surrounding the castle, blades raised and primed to strike. "Good luck fighting an army of people just as good as me, Rose!"
"That presassumes you were good at all!" Rose and her began clashing rapidly with first, the air visibly cracking with thunder with each collision. "My entire life's an uphill battle, everyone I fight is just another step upward!"
With each punch connecting, and tiny hints of blood being smeared on both their knuckles, Mina couldn't help but smile. "If there's one thing that was good about you sticking around Rose, it was that you always made me realize there were always more enemies to fight! There was always more to get stronger for!"
" And you make me realize I always have something to protect!" Rose screamed as their sword and her shield collided once more, sparking an explosion that sent the pink traitor back and her hovering in the air just a little with a wince.
"Ah…fun times." Mina laughed as she aimed her sword right at the monster lover. "You know, I never got the chance to test how well this blade works on gems, do you still explode, or do I need to slice the gem in order to get the full effect?" She smirked with glee. "Only one way to find out I guess!"
"Steven, no!" The pale Pearl tried to rush in, only for a few Knights to stab blades near the gems, keeping them in line. Yes, watching them suffer would be nice. Mina lowered the blade, preparing to strike them down for good.
She stopped at a scream, turning to see the familiar faces of that red hooded human and that woolet girl running out of the woods. "Marco!" Star shouted. "Why did you come here, this is literally the worst place to be right now!" Jasper came behind them, roaring as they tossed a tree at the two weaklings. "... Ah … you're forgiven for the therapy stint."
"Oh goodie, more of Rose's allies to instill hopelessness in!" Mina shouted happily.
"Steven!" The Wollet tried to rush in, only for another Knight to lower a blade between them.
"Oh, but should I kill them first?" She asked. "Make you beg for that death you rightfully deserve?" Mina rhetorically asked Rose.
"You said it yourself Mina, I'm the one that taints everyone." Rose grumbled as she lost the scales and horns. "If I go, everyone else will be free of it."
"True…but is this really how I want it to go?" Mina scratched her chin. If her beloved Solaria was here, she'd probably want to make it as painful as possible. Was the physical or the emotional pain more impactful? Damn, she should have thought about this earlier instead of just obsessing over the moment.
"You could always wait!" … Everyone turned to the sweaty red hoodie kid. "Why kill Rose now?" He asked. "Why not make them stew in fear for a full day, trying options without success?"
"Yeah…Yeah!" The woolet added on. "You've got us surrounded! You're about to win! Wouldn't it be entertaining and funny to watch whatever last plan Rose comes up with fails utterly?"
"That sounds so psychotic and sick… I love it!" Mina happily replied. "But I know Rose is a slippery little eel, so I'm only giving her until that rooster crows."
"You mean until sunset…?"
"Marco, it's just a dumb bird." The former princess rolled her eyes. "It's going to crow whenever it feels like it."
She grabbed the chicken, placing it on a ledge and let it be. "You have until then Rose." Mina smiled. "Make your final moments count."
