When Minato teleported to one of the training grounds, he began to think about a strategy against this shinobi. And when the man in the mask emerged from the vortex, the cat-and-mouse battle began, as both were equally matched in speed. Tobi got tired of it all and put on chains. While his opponent prepared for the confrontation, Minato decided to engage him in conversation.
"Who are you? Only one person could control the Nine-Tails freely with the MS. Are you Madara?"
"Who knows..." And with these words, Tobi rushed at Minato with open palms, ready to grab him for sure. Minato threw a kunai at his head, holding a Rasengan in his hand. When the kunai passed right through him, and Tobi almost touched his opponent, Minato simply used Flying Thunder God to move to the kunai and thrust the Rasengan into Tobi's right shoulder blade.
"You're really fast... Yellow Flash..." And at that moment, Minato's hand touched Tobi's stomach, breaking the seal that maintained the contract to summon the Nine-Tails. Stepping back, Minato only now noticed that the right hand of the masked man did not belong to him, but he didn't dwell on it and simply asked a question:
"Why do you want to destroy the village?"
"It's not just my whim!"
"Then..."
Tobi continued with a wave of his hand, "The reasons don't matter, nor do my motives, it's all for the good of the village..." And he vanished, leaving his hand on the ground.
Minato, sealing the enemy's hand in a scroll, pondered where he could have heard this phrase.
Chaos reigned in the village; Kurama was raging. Uchiha and the others were attacking the demon with fire, while the Third pushed the demon out of the village with his staff. When Fugaku jumped onto the wall, Minato teleported next to him.
"Fugaku, you can start the summoning seal now that it's lifted from him," Uchiha began, using his Mangekyo Sharingan to hold the Nine-Tails, though it drained almost all of his chakra and paralyzed Kurama.
"Minato, I can't hold him for much longer," Fugaku warned.
Minato summoned the toad boss Gamabunta, who jumped onto Kurama's head. Meanwhile, Minato, jumping towards them, used a spatial barrier to teleport to Kushina and Kaname. The remaining part of the village sensed an explosion on the outskirts of Konoha and rushed there.
Seeing her husband and Kurama, Kushina, handing the baby to Kaname, immediately chained Kurama's chakra and set up a barrier. Minato, having expended most of his chakra to teleport the demon, kneeled from exhaustion. Kaname was the first to speak up.
"Minato, we need to seal Kurama inside Naruto!" With these words, she summoned a ritual altar. Kurama was shocked that they wanted to seal him inside the baby and, with a wild roar, pulled his claw out of the chakra chains, slashing Kaname's back. Minato and Kushina, witnessing this, couldn't react in time. However, the Uzumaki clan was known for their resilience. Even with her body pierced through, she could still breathe, and her blood dripped onto the baby.
The newlyweds rushed to her to remove the claw, but a wave of Kaname's hand stopped them, and she addressed her niece.
"Kushina, when you were sent from Uzushio to Konoha to be a jinchuriki, I tried my best to support you. Our home is destroyed, but thanks to this young man," she gestured to Minato, "you've found your new home. I'm happy that you two found each other. You have children now, and you can continue your lineage. This thought brings me peace in knowing I can die peacefully..."
Kaname began forming the signs for summoning the Shinigami. She continued, "This method will completely seal Kurama into Naruto, but I need assistance. Minato, help with the seal concentration, and Kushina, continue holding the barrier."
The newlyweds complied unquestioningly. When the sealing light faded, Kaname fell lifeless into Minato's arms. The Third and Fugaku, along with several jonin and ANBU, witnessed the scene. A grave silence fell. Minato and Kushina couldn't comprehend that the dearest person in their lives now lay dead in their arms. They remembered how she raised them, scolded them, cooked for them, washed their clothes, trained them—she was like a mother to them. The silence was broken by the cry of the baby, whose cheeks were burning, leaving three scars resembling whiskers. The couple, seeing this, simply looked through him, not even noticing his cries. The barrier automatically dissipated, and several people entered the clearing. The Third, observing their reaction to the child, attributed it to shock and the loss of a loved one. Hiruzen took the baby in his arms, wrapping him in a blanket, and approached his parents.
"What have you named the child?"
Minato was the first to come to his senses, barely uttering the name Naruto. They didn't even take the child into their arms. Hiruzen merely chuckled, making a mental note to talk to them after they recovered. Minato carried Kaname-san's body with Kushina and headed towards Konoha.
Hiruzen, accompanied by the newborn baby with a tuft of white hair, walked leisurely. When Naruto began to whimper, Hiruzen decided to tickle his nose. In response, Naruto grabbed the Third's finger and began to nibble on it with his gums. Hiruzen, chuckling, realized he needed to eat. Leaving Naruto in the nursery, the old man headed to the residence.
Kushina was told not to make any sudden movements until her chakra was restored, as she had lost a lot of chakra during childbirth, restraining the Nine-Tails with chains and barriers. Meanwhile, Minato, after undergoing several examinations to clear his mind, headed to the Hokage's residence.
