.______.💘

The early morning sun rose over Seoul, casting its first golden rays over the sprawling cityscape. Andrea stepped out of the black SUV, her black heels tapping sharply on the smooth stone of the driveway. Her luggage was already being taken care of by the staff as she paused for a moment, taking in the familiar surroundings of the mansion. Eunwoo stepped out from the opposite side of the vehicle, his cold yet composed demeanor as evident as ever. His piercing gaze swept over the area before he turned toward the mansion.

"Welcome back, sir," Minjoon greeted him respectfully, walking towards the car to meet his boss. "How was the trip?"

Eunwoo nodded slightly. "It was productive," he replied, his tone neutral, his mind already shifting to the next task at hand.

Minjoon, ever efficient, didn't miss a beat. "I will arrange a meeting with the board members within the next hour as you requested, sir."

Eunwoo didn't respond verbally but simply gave a small nod, signaling the end of the conversation. He then began walking towards the mansion's grand entrance without another word. Minjoon, with a polite bow, turned toward Andrea.

"Welcome back, Ms. Yeldiz," Minjoon greeted her, his usual professionalism in place as he held a tablet in his hand.

Andrea, though tired from the long flight, returned the greeting with a polite smile. "Thank you, Minjoon. Can you do me a favor?" Her voice was weary, yet there was a quiet urgency in her words.

Minjoon raised an eyebrow, always ready to assist. "Of course, Ms. Yeldiz. What do you need?"

Andrea hesitated for a moment, glancing towards the mansion's entrance where Eunwoo was already disappearing inside. "Could you make sure everything's ready for a quiet dinner tonight? I don't want any interruptions, just... something simple," she requested, her voice soft but firm.

Minjoon nodded. "Understood, Ms. Yeldiz. I'll handle it."

As she turned toward the mansion, Andrea couldn't help but notice how Eunwoo seemed to glide effortlessly through the doorway, his expression unreadable as always. She sighed quietly to herself, trying to shake off the weariness that had settled into her bones.

Eunwoo was already at the foot of the grand staircase when Andrea entered the mansion. Without turning, he called over his shoulder, "Andrea, come inside. There are things to be done."

Andrea bristled slightly at his tone, but her exhaustion outweighed her annoyance. She walked toward him, her mind racing with a mixture of frustration and confusion. He wasn't like this in Shanghai, she thought to herself. What happened?

As she reached the bottom of the stairs, Andrea muttered under her breath, "Has he already started ordering me around again? Oh God, it's better when he behaves like he did in Shanghai."

Eunwoo's sharp ears caught her murmured words, and he turned slightly, his face a mask of indifference. "Do you want to rest?" he asked, his voice low.

Andrea blinked, surprised by his sudden question. "I'm a bit tired," she admitted, lowering her voice. "But I want to eat first."

Eunwoo's expression remained unchanged. "Ms. Yeldiz, we're back. The mission is over." His words were flat, almost robotic. "You will rest after you've eaten."

Andrea, inwardly sighing, felt the weight of her weariness pull at her, but she didn't argue. She followed him into the dining room, where a meal had been prepared. The table was set with pristine white china, and the scent of freshly cooked food filled the air.

As they ate, the silence between them was palpable. Andrea could feel the tension building, as if an invisible wall had sprung up between them. Eunwoo didn't look up once from his plate, his focus entirely on the food in front of him. Andrea, on the other hand, couldn't help but feel the growing distance between them.

After the meal, Andrea excused herself, needing some space. She felt drained, both physically and emotionally, and the only place she wanted to be was in her room, away from the weight of the world. The room, as always, was a haven of peace and solitude. It was spacious, with a large bed and minimalistic decor. The view from the window was breathtaking, offering a perfect view of the landscaped gardens outside.

She stripped off her clothes and changed into something more comfortable before collapsing onto the bed. The soft sheets enveloped her, and she closed her eyes, trying to push away the memories of the last few hours. But the tension with Eunwoo remained, nagging at her like a persistent itch.

Hours passed before she awoke, feeling slightly more refreshed. Her eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, she forgot where she was. But as reality came flooding back, she sat up and looked out the window at the sprawling estate. I need some fresh air, she thought.

She slipped out of bed, put on her slippers, and made her way down to the garden. The air was crisp, and the evening light cast long shadows over the manicured lawn. It was a perfect night for reflection, but her mind kept drifting back to Eunwoo.

As she wandered through the garden, she stumbled upon him. He was seated on a bench near the koi pond, his gaze distant, watching the fish swim lazily in the water. His posture was perfect, as always, but there was something about the way he looked that made Andrea hesitate.

"Couldn't sleep?" Andrea asked softly, her voice almost a whisper as she approached him.

Eunwoo turned to face her, his usual cool expression in place. "No," he answered simply. "I prefer to be alone when I'm thinking."

Andrea sat down beside him on the bench, the silence between them stretching out for a few moments. She could feel the coolness of the evening air and the weight of his presence beside her.

After a while, Eunwoo spoke again, his voice quieter than usual. "Shanghai… it was different. I wasn't myself."

Andrea tilted her head, curious. "How so?"

Eunwoo didn't meet her gaze. "I allowed myself to relax, but here… I can't afford to. People expect too much from me."

Andrea nodded, her fingers lightly brushing the cool stone of the bench. "I get it. It's hard to let your guard down when you're always in the public eye."

Eunwoo turned to her then, and for the first time in a long while, Andrea saw a flicker of something softer in his eyes. It was almost imperceptible, but it was there. He spoke, his voice quieter than usual. "I don't know how to balance everything, Andrea. Being the person they expect me to be and being… myself."

Andrea studied him for a moment, her heart tightening at the vulnerability she saw in his expression. "Maybe we can find a balance," she suggested gently. "You don't have to be all things to all people. You just need to be true to yourself."

Eunwoo looked at her, his face still stoic, but something in his eyes softened. "Maybe," he replied quietly.

The two sat in silence, the only sounds the rustling of the trees and the occasional ripple of water from the koi pond. For once, there was no pressure, no expectations. Just two people, simply existing in each other's presence.

As the night grew darker, Eunwoo rose from the bench, his usual demeanor returning. "We should go inside. You need rest."

Andrea nodded, following him back toward the mansion. For a brief moment, the distance between them felt smaller, less daunting. They didn't speak as they entered the house, but for the first time in a long while, Andrea felt like maybe, just maybe, things could change between them.

But the path ahead was still uncertain. As always, Eunwoo was a man of contradictions, and she couldn't help but wonder if she would ever truly be able to get close to him. Only time would tell.

The morning sun filtered through the tall windows of the Seoul estate, casting golden patterns on the polished marble floors. Eunwoo stood before his full-length mirror, adjusting the cuffs of his tailored suit. The fabric, a deep charcoal, complemented his sharp features and the determined glint in his eyes.

As he stepped out of his room, the butler approached with a respectful bow.

"Sir, I've placed the gift and the red bag in your wardrobe, as instructed," the butler informed.

Eunwoo nodded, his gaze steady. "Thank you. Ensure everything else is in order."

Descending the grand staircase, Eunwoo's footsteps echoed softly, a rhythm of purpose. Minjoon awaited at the base, holding a sleek tablet. His tailored suit impeccable, exuding the authority befitting a CEO. Each step was measured, his demeanor composed, reflecting the discipline that had propelled him to the helm of his enterprise.

Minjoon awaited at the base of the stairs, a tablet in hand, his posture attentive.

"Sir," Minjoon began, offering the device, "as per your instructions, all preparations for the board meeting are complete. The conference room is set, and the necessary documents have been distributed to the members."

Eunwoo accepted the tablet with a nod, his eyes scanning the information displayed. "Ensure that the security protocols are in place. I want no disruptions during the meeting."

"Of course, sir," Minjoon affirmed, his tone unwavering.

As they exited the mansion, the sleek black sedan awaited, its engine humming softly. The chauffeur stood by, holding the door open.

Eunwoo entered the vehicle, followed by Minjoon, who settled beside him. The bodyguard took his position in the front seat, ever vigilant.

From her vantage point in the upstairs room, Andrea observed the departure. The glass wall offered an unobstructed view of the driveway, where the car began to pull away.

"Finally, you're back to your routine, Mr. Boss," she murmured, a hint of amusement in her voice.

Her attention shifted as her phone buzzed insistently on the bedside table. Crossing the room, she picked it up, noting the flurry of missed calls and messages. The screen displayed numerous notifications from the secret society's secure communication app.

Among the messages, names stood out: Maya and Liam. They had been trying to reach her for the past two days. Realizing she had left her phone behind during the mission, Andrea felt a pang of guilt.

As she was about to open the chat, the phone vibrated again—Liam was calling. She answered, speaking in Turkish.

"Merhaba, Liam."

"Are you blind or just ignoring me?" Liam's voice was a mix of relief and frustration. "We've been trying to contact you for days. Do you have any idea how worried we were?"

Andrea sighed, understanding his concern. "I'm sorry. I was on a mission and couldn't take my phone. Everything's fine now."

Liam's tone softened. "Are you okay? No injuries?"

"I'm okay, really. Just tired," she reassured him.

"You know, as your brother—not by blood, but by bond—it's my duty to worry," he said, a hint of a smile in his voice.

Andrea chuckled. "And as your sister, it's my duty to remind you to take care of yourself too."

They shared a moment of laughter, the tension easing.

"By the way," Andrea added, "is Dad taking his medication on time?"

"Yes, the chief is following the schedule. Don't worry," Liam replied. "But you should check in with Maya. She's been trying to reach you and has some updates. She's at the basement camp."

"Got it. I'll contact her now," Andrea said.

They exchanged goodbyes, and the call ended.

Turning her attention back to the phone, Andrea opened Maya's messages. The screen displayed a series of encrypted files, each containing detailed information—coordinates, surveillance images, and notes on recent activities. The data hinted at significant developments that required immediate attention.

Andrea attempted to call Maya, but the call went unanswered. Frowning, she considered her next steps. The information was too critical to ignore.

Determined, she began analyzing the data, preparing to act on the intelligence provided. The mission might have concluded, but the work was far from over.
