"What? Five million Berries a day after just two weeks of opening?!"
Luffy's eyes widened in disbelief. He quickly did the math in his head. "That's 50 million Berries in just 10 days… and 150 million Berries in one month!"
The realization hit him like a tidal wave. If this continued to attract more players, the profits would only soar higher. The exclusive ownership of the gaming industry by Olivia presented a monopoly waiting to grow into a goldmine. Luffy could already envision mountains of gold and silver waving at him, beckoning him toward unimaginable wealth.
Forget gold mines and seastones—this is where the real treasure lies!
Of course, as a leader, Luffy knew the importance of maintaining a balance between industry and public services. But that didn't stop him from acting on his newfound inspiration.
"Raise the taxes! Taxes must be raised!" he declared, his tone firm with determination. "Hmm… let's set it at the highest rate—40%!"
He turned to Alpha, who stood nearby, and added, "From now on, you're in charge of checking the establishment's accounts every month."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Olivia, who had been thrown aside earlier, stirred awake. Her eyes fluttered open, and she sat up, glaring at Luffy with unbridled fury.
"Who the hell dares to raise my taxes?!" she shouted. "Forty percent? Why don't you just rob me outright?!"
As a savvy businesswoman, Olivia was especially sensitive when it came to matters of taxation. She fixed Luffy with a scathing glare, her fists clenched in anger.
Luffy, unfazed by her outburst, remained calm and businesslike. "I'm sorry, Ms. Olivia," he said with mock politeness. "According to the latest tax regulations, all industries unrelated to public welfare are subject to additional levies. Highly profitable enterprises like, say, erotic establishment, fall under the highest tax brackets."
"You bastard!" Olivia shot back, her voice trembling with rage. "Just a moment ago, you were sweet-talking me, calling me 'Dear Olivia.' Now you're acting like some heartless bureaucrat. Do you have no shame?!"
Luffy, completely unbothered by her insults, shrugged. "Ma'am, please calm down. If you have any complaints, feel free to lodge them with the G66 branch office. We're just public officials trying to do our jobs."
"You %##¥@@#!" Olivia's refined noble upbringing couldn't suppress the torrent of profanity spilling from her lips. For a moment, she completely lost her composure. Her intense verbal tirade left the three other women—Hancock, Yamato, and Alpha—staring at her in astonishment.
What shocked them even more was how effortlessly Luffy deflected every insult, maintaining his smug demeanor as he buried her in high-sounding rhetoric.
Yamato, ever the peacemaker, eventually intervened. "Sister Olivia, maybe it's time to admit defeat," she suggested hesitantly. "There's a saying—'You can't fight the government.' This situation seems… kind of like that."
Olivia whipped her head toward Yamato, shooting her a fierce glare. "He's a Marine, sure, but don't forget—I'm a Marine too! I'm certified by Fleet Admiral Sengoku himself!"
Yamato pouted, clearly hurt by Olivia's harsh tone. Meanwhile, Olivia, realizing she had let her emotions get the better of her, took a deep breath to calm herself. After a few moments, she finally conceded.
"Fine," she muttered through gritted teeth. "You win, you shameless bastard. I'll give you half the hotel's shares. Happy now?"
Luffy's expression immediately softened, his grin spreading from ear to ear. "Oh, did I forget to mention how amazing games are as a new industry?" he said, his tone suddenly cheerful. "This kind of innovation deserves full support!"
Reaching out, he clasped Olivia's hand in an exaggerated handshake. "Our Marine organization wholeheartedly welcomes outstanding entrepreneurs like you, Ms. Olivia. Rest assured, if there are any future support policies, you'll be the first to benefit!"
Olivia yanked her hand back, rolling her eyes. "Humph. You even extort your own. You're utterly shameless."
"Hey, hey," Luffy countered, wagging a finger. "This isn't extortion. We're a team, remember? There's no 'yours' or 'mine'—it's all 'ours.'"
"Then give me back my shares!" Olivia shot back, holding out her hand expectantly.
Luffy quickly glanced at his wrist, pretending to check the time. "Oh, look at that—it's already lunchtime! Yamato, you're the expert on good food. Recommend a nice restaurant nearby. My treat today!"
Before Olivia could protest further, Luffy called out to Hancock, Alpha, and the others, grabbing Yamato by the arm as he led the way toward the door. Olivia, seething with anger, could only watch as he made his escape.
"You bastard!" she muttered under her breath, clenching her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white. "Just you wait. I'll make you pay for this."
In the elevator, Olivia deliberately positioned herself behind Yamato, refusing to even look at Luffy. However, Luffy wasn't about to let her off the hook. He sidled up to her, his tone suddenly serious.
"Hey, Olivia, I've been thinking. Can't you make your game more… mainstream?" he asked.
Olivia glanced at him warily. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, why does it have to be 'Futanari and the Dungeon'? Why not make it a regular game with male and female characters? And while we're at it, why not remove those… 'taming' aspect on monster fights and leveling up?"
"And why would I do that?" Olivia asked, raising an eyebrow.
"If you make it more family-friendly, it could attract a broader audience," Luffy explained. "Think about it—more players, more profits, and less controversy. Wouldn't that be better for everyone?"
