Chi Yue realized a beat too late what Mrs. Bai Senior was talking about. She said, "Grandma, what are you talking about? Xuanxuan is my child; he's not anybody else's child."
Mrs. Bai Senior's shrewd eyes seemed to be trying to see right through her. "Is he Fu Rongyin's child?"
Chi Yue shook her head. "He has nothing to do with him."
"Yueyue, can't you tell the truth to your Grandma?"
Chi Yue bit her lip, seeming to be in a struggle.
After a long while, she finally loosened up a bit. "Grandma, can we not talk about this, please?"
Mrs. Bai Senior didn't want to pressure her either, but leaving this issue unresolved was not a solution either.
