Gray leaned against the mirror-lined wall with casual arrogance, hands in his pockets, watching her press the button with more force than necessary.
He waited a beat.
Then said innocently, "You know, you looked cute when you blushed."
Lilith didn't respond.
He continued anyway.
His voice dropped lower. Smoother. "You usually look like you'd eat someone alive, but just now…" He leaned closer, eyes narrowing slightly. "You looked like someone who needs help… unzipping."
Lilith turned her head slowly, glaring at him.
He smiled wider. "You're right, I am shameless. Especially when your ears turn red like that. Very distracting."
She looked away again.
He stepped closer.
Not too close but close enough.
"Want to hear more?" he whispered, clearly enjoying every second of her struggling not to scream.
"I could describe a few more things. Like what I'd do if you ever wore that blue nightgown without locking the door…"
Her hands clenched.
