Chapter 193 - Chapter 193: The Third Ending

At Officer Tsukauchi's police station, Shigaraki Tomura was being held in a private prison. Thanks to All Might personally asking his close friend for help, they were able to place his mentor's grandson in the most suitable location.

For the first time in his life, All Might broke his own principles to make a request. Tsukauchi understood his decision... which is why, as a police officer, he also broke the rules by taking Shigaraki Tomura into his custody. After all, All Might had already given so much to society. If there was anything he could do to help him, then he would.

During this time, All Might visited the police station almost every day to see Shigaraki Tomura. No matter what, he wanted to bring his mentor's grandson back to the right path. After countless efforts and with the help of evidence Tsukauchi gathered, Shigaraki Tomura eventually believed what All Might was telling him.

He accepted that his grandmother, Shimura Nana, had been All Might's mentor. He also accepted that All For One had deliberately used him for his own plans. But understanding something and being willing to accept it were two completely different things.

Right now, the only thing on Shigaraki Tomura's mind was returning to the League of Villains. He wanted to personally confront his "teacher" and ask what he really thought of him.

Humans are creatures of both reason and emotion. Even if logic tells them what is true or false, their emotions can still make them deny reality, even deceive themselves.

All For One had saved Shigaraki Tomura from the depths of despair and raised him to where he was now. That kind of bond couldn't just be erased by a few words from All Might. To Shigaraki Tomura… that man was still his most respected "teacher."

Moreover, his hatred toward All Might hadn't lessened—it had only grown stronger after hearing that Shimura Nana was his grandmother.

"I hate you… When my parents were killed, the heroes never came… You're just a liar who makes empty promises about saving everyone."

"So! All Might, all heroes are just liars who say nice things to make themselves look good!!"

Shigaraki Tomura's twisted mind only became more unstable with All Might's explanations. His mentor's child… his own father… had been murdered, yet the hero he once idolized, Shimura Tenko's greatest hero, never showed up. That pain would never go away.

"Shimura…"

"Don't call me that name!"

Shigaraki Tomura let out a furious, almost crazed scream. All Might could only lower his head in sorrow… He, too, was tormented by the fact that he hadn't been able to protect his mentor's child. If only he had searched for him after defeating All For One… But he never expected things to turn out like this.

All For One had found Shigaraki Tomura first. Maybe the entire incident had been part of his plan from the beginning. The boy had been completely brainwashed and twisted into what he was now—a weapon created by that man to use against All Might.

Once again, All Might left with nothing accomplished. He felt drained. These past few days, he had tried everything to change Shigaraki Tomura's way of thinking, but All For One's influence on him ran too deep. This wasn't something that could be undone in just a few days.

"No, I can't give up. I have to stay strong!"

In his weakened state, All Might forced himself to smile, using both hands to lift the corners of his mouth into a grin. As a hero, he had to keep smiling, no matter what…

After all, this was the most important lesson his mentor, Shimura Nana, had ever taught him. It was also the very symbol that had defined him for so many years.

On the other side, at the League of Villains, Midoriya Izuku was gathering information. Recently, the Japanese government had been deliberately smearing All Might's reputation in the media. Most of the negative rumors were just baseless gossip, but there was one important piece of news that stuck with Midoriya.

"The claim that All Might is leaning toward the League of Villains."

The details were as follows:

"All Might seems to have intentionally protected Shigaraki Tomura, a captured villain from the League of Villains. This conclusion was reached by a top analyst in our senior All Might fan club."

"This move goes against All Might's usual way of doing things. Normally, heroes handle the arrests while the police and legal system take care of imprisoning villains. But this time, All Might went out of his way to keep Shigaraki Tomura under his watch, which is quite unexpected."

"So, we've made a bold guess—this might have something to do with All Might's dissatisfaction with the current system. As we all know, the Hero Laws prevent heroes from fighting villains with their full strength. We still remember how Waterhouse lost his life at the hands of a ruthless villain a few years ago."

"The Hero Laws don't just limit a hero's abilities; they also lead to most captured villains simply being locked away in prison. That's why some people have started standing up against this system."

"This is exactly what the League of Villains, led by Steel Wire Death God, represents. Even though their methods are extreme and brutal, we can't deny one fact—crime rates have dropped sharply in recent weeks. In less than a month, criminal activity in Japan has almost disappeared."

"From this, it's clear that All Might and Steel Wire Death God stand on opposite sides. All Might is a hero who supports the government and the law, while the League of Villains represents the dark side. Their opposition is unavoidable."

"But if All Might deliberately protected Shigaraki Tomura, could this be a sign? Could it mean he is dissatisfied with the government and the laws?"

...

Midoriya scanned through the rest of the article and quietly analyzed the situation. There was nothing wrong with the reasoning in the article. Anyone unaware of the full truth would probably believe it. After all, All Might had remained silent and refused to clarify anything, while the League of Villains' recent actions seemed to fit this narrative perfectly.

Given the current situation, this article had completely swayed public opinion. Almost everyone now believed that All Might supported the League of Villains and had violated his principles because of it. To put it simply—if someone was deliberately manipulating the narrative, they had done an excellent job.

After returning from All for One, Midoriya had learned the truth about Shigaraki Tomura's identity. He was the grandson of Nana Shimura, the seventh wielder of One for All and All Might's mentor.

Right now, All for One's plan was going exceptionally well.

Midoriya Izuku had shaped public perception, and by using Shigaraki Tomura as bait, they had successfully trapped All Might. The Symbol of Peace had walked straight into it. At the same time, the Japanese government saw this as the perfect opportunity to create a massive news scandal. Afterward, they planned to use All Might as a scapegoat.

These opportunists had calculated everything perfectly, using every possible angle to secure their power and interests.

If Japan's laws were really changed, would society be better or worse in the future? Midoriya couldn't say for sure. Things that seemed good on the surface often hid darkness underneath. But right now, there was only one thing Midoriya couldn't stand.

"Are you kidding me?!"

All for One saw All Might as an enemy and was trying to bring him down. The Japanese government was using him as a target for suppression. The unsuspecting public was being manipulated into turning against him.

And worst of all, All Might himself had willingly walked into this trap—he wasn't even trying to fight back.

"There's only one thing left to do."
