"Are you sure we should be here?" Rose asked, trembling with fear. She was standing right below Valery's army, and facing that army was her husband. She wasn't a warrior; she knew a few martial arts moves, but she couldn't consider herself a warrior. She was sure that even if she fought someone of her own level, she would lose.
Rose looked up at her side constantly, waiting for Valery's response, but Valery did not address her. Instead, Valery's gaze was focused on what was happening.
Cinder had not yet arrived, but as they were close to the ground, they could feel the nearby volcano begin to shake, and those tremors were reaching them. When the tremors grew stronger, the vampires in the palanquin rose, alleviating the tremors and preventing them from shaking too much.
"My lady, we must leave soon. The battle is about to begin. It is dangerous to stay here. We could get hurt!" Rose was upset, but she did not get up from her chair. She knew that the safest place was next to Valery.
