The true reason, he would go to the academy, was that there were many opportunities for the protagonist, he would snatch. He wasn't disillusioned enough, to believe, the Protagonist would leave him alone. So he decided to cut the protagonists opportunity of.

Hearing Selia calling out to him, Arion looked at her and smiled softly at her. "What is it, dear?"
Hearing the name he gave her, Selia blushed and smiled coquettish. "Will you pursue the six heroines?"
Arions smile broke and he answered curtly.
"No, I won't."
Sighing Selia said, "Their fate isn't set in stone, you can pursue them."
"Selia, I know how they are, their desires, their fears and their deepest wishes. And without fail, they all swore to find Helion in their next live, so no I won't pursue them."
Dejected Selia nodded and thought, she would try it again later.
After a couple of minutes with silence, a comfortable one, Arion began to tell Selia his future plans. His set goal for the coming months would be leveling up, climbing the tower and rising in ranks.
During these months he would also try to gather informations about the world he was in. Despite believing in the threat of destiny for Helion and the heroines he wasn't naive enough to believe everything would be the same as in the game. Searching his memories he could already pinpoint some changes.
For example the power ranking and the adventure ranks. In the game the highest in terms of power you could reach, was Goddragon now their where several more ranks. The Adventurers changed from the S-E ranks system to the SSS-F ranks system.
The categorization of skills and items was also changed. Both received a couple more degrees of rarity.

But those were only the changes he could remember, according to Miss A there were more changes in the power system. Changes that the world was unaware of. The power ranking reached according to his memories only to peak level God, but there were several more ranks up to omnipotent. The same goes for the adventurer ranking, which went up to Divine.
What surprised Arion was, that the world building in the game was entirely different from the real. In the game the story took place in a Kingdom of mixed races, which occupied the whole continent. Of course the tower was in the middle of the Kingdom. Nothing was known about lands far behind the sea.
Here the tower was on a giant island which was neutral ground, the islands size was comparable to Australia. It was surrounded by the silent sea. Beyond the sea were five continents, each continent ruled by an empire. Here too were the races mixed.
At the center of the island, stood the tower. Surrounding it, was the city of Grayvion. Here resided the top academy of the world, where all five empires sent their best pupils.
Of course the island wasn't empty, it was buzzing with life. Elfs, dwarves, humans, demons and many more lives here. The number of inhabitants reached 100,000,000.
Arions family was one of the inhabitants and Arion guessed, that some of the heroines families also lived on the island.

After a couple of hours brainstorming, Arion and Selia decided to stand up and make something to eat.
Wanting to live the dream of a wive cooking something for her husband, Selia stood at the Kitchen stove and made Arion scrambled eggs with toast and bacon. On their way back last night they actually bought something to eat so they had the ingredients.
