Luna stood in the hallway, her ear pressed against the door of Anton's office, trying to catch every word. She knew she shouldn't be eavesdropping, but she didn't care. She had to know what was going on.
Her heart was already racing when she heard Anton's voice, low and tense. "What do you mean, you have her?"
The voice on the other end was smooth, too calm, and Luna could hear the grin in Vitelli's voice. "Benetti's girl, Claire—she came gunning for me, like a damn idiot. She thought she could handle it, but now she's in my hands. I'm gonna use her to get what I want from Lucas. He won't be able to say no."
Luna's blood ran cold.
'Claire? Did that stupid bitch really go after Vitelli?'
Luna couldn't believe it. What the hell was Claire thinking? Of all the fucking things to do, she had to go after the one guy who would make her life a living nightmare.
Anton didn't sound calm. He sounded pissed.
