"What do we have here?" Nick said loud enough for everyone else to hear him, and the three others joined them as well.
The man's eyes widened in horror, and he stared hard at Nick, wishing for his phone to shatter into pieces. They couldn't allow them to answer the call. They couldn't. Otherwise...
His blood ran cold, and a chill went down his spine when he thought of repercussions. His entire body froze, and he broke into a sweat. He dreaded to think what would happen if their secret were out.
Struggling with all his might, he fought against the ties that bound him to the chair. But the knot was too tight, and he cursed under his breath.
"Give me back my phone," he spat, trying to free his limbs. But the knot around them only became tighter the more he moved.
"Looks like we may have found something," Nick mumbled and answered the call without delay, pressing the record button while Kelsey recorded a video of the whole call.
