Kyrell wasn't surprised to see that Sienna had prepared a marriage contract. He had expected it. Considering all that had happened and how strong and high the walls around her heart were, it was impossible for her to trust him completely.
Sienna trusted him. He knew it, he saw it in her eyes. But it wasn't to the extent that she believed him wholeheartedly. There was some resistance in her heart, and he understood her. After all, it'd be a miracle if she trusted someone she met only ten days ago.
"You don't look surprised," Sienna said, observing the man's reaction. She had been studying his expression and was waiting for him to react drastically when she brought up the marriage contract. But the man seemed to have anticipated it. He was cool and composed all the time.
