Chapter 65 - 65: A lucky victory.

"Sure... no problem," Sensui, whose body was covered in wounds and blood, replied in a good mood.

He wasn't angry about losing; in fact, he was quite happy. It was the first time he felt defeat, and it was a feeling he had never experienced before. The bitter sensation and the feeling that he was very close to his goal, but did not achieve it, gave him a new perspective on the world.

So, personally, Sensui was not angry about losing, of course, he would have liked to win, but he would have missed a lot of interesting things if his whole life was full of victories.

At this point, he understood that sometimes losing is a better learning experience than winning all the time. So when he saw Bulma approaching, he simply nodded to her before drawing a smile.

Bulma noticed the unnatural stiffness in Sensui's facial muscles, but his emotions confirmed that he was truly happy; perhaps this was the first time Sensui had ever truly smiled in his entire life.

She felt something strange at that moment, it had nothing to do with romance or anything like that, but she felt that Sensui was similar to her, and just at that moment, both of them could confirm the most basic thing, something they might have ignored for a long time.

They are human. It doesn't matter if they have the power of gods or high-dimensional beings; in the end, they are still human. It was this strange realization that made Bulma smile at Sensui, despite how tired she was.

"You fought well," Bulma said, acknowledging Sensui from the bottom of her heart.

It was the first time she had been pushed to that limit! Unlike her encounters with other people, her fight with Sensui was truly staged, pushing her to her limits.

Wasn't that why she participated in this tournament? She even felt that some things that seemed much more complicated before were now easier. Even though her ki was recovering, she even felt that her control over her energy had grown even more.

Bulma broke away from Chi-Chi and walked towards the large hole she had created with her last attack. As a person connected to nature, she did not like to destroy the environment, so she wanted to solve this problem.

This time, the latent power within her surged with much more fluidity and speed than before, her body covered with small flames of purple energy that concentrated in her hands.

The energy condensed into a small ball, and as if holding something delicate, Bulma held this ball of ki before dropping it into the hole she had left in the earth.

"We don't know exactly what Fighter Bulma is doing, but that energy felt quite warm, I even feel like I'm a little younger, don't you think?" the host said before looking at Roshi as if to confirm his feelings.

But he was disappointed to see that Roshi was still as old as before, so he looked at Whis and waited for a comment from this person. Sensing his intentions, Whis finished the pudding he was eating before speaking.

"It's just that this girl is doing something special, if it weren't for the fact that I can see she's human, I'd think she was a Kaio-Shin. Watch that hole, you'll be surprised," Whis' enigmatic words made the people who heard him pay more attention to Bulma's actions.

They didn't know what the hell a Kaio-Shin was, but if this being, who seemed quite powerful, wanted them to pay attention, why should they refuse? So, in front of everyone, the hole began to be covered with earth that seemed to be created out of nothing.

"Matter creation?" Yujiro Hanma looked at the results of Bulma's actions before shaking his head.

"No, even magic can do that, that wasn't magic, that was something else..." Yujiro Hanma's interest in Bulma grew quite a bit at this point.

To him, there were only three special beings in this tournament. The God, the Demon, and the Immortal. Reminiscent of those ancient tales, Yujiro Hanma was the 'Demon'. Sensui was the 'God', and Bulma was the 'Immortal'.

When he saw her create the earth from nothing, he focused his senses even more and realized something important. The elements created by magic were replicas, reflections of the natural elements created by the mage's power; they were not connected to nature and could even contaminate it in some cases.

But the earth created by Bulma was not only closely connected to nature, it even seemed to radiate throughout the entire stadium, no, the entire island, making it even more perfect for sustaining life.

Yujiro Hanma looked down at the concrete floor beneath his feet and felt a faint breath of life trying to find its way under the ground, so he struck hard, shattering the layer of concrete and rock.

Other nearby fighters watched with interest as many plants suddenly sprouted from the ground, and this resting place for fighters became filled with trees, flowers, and bushes.

"This place will probably become the most fertile place on Earth in the future," Yujiro Hanma muttered, a grotesque smile appearing on his face as he became more and more excited.

It seemed that Bulma still had some secrets! Bulma thought the same when she saw the huge tree that suddenly grew in front of her without her having expected or planned for it. She already knew that her ability to generate resources, an instinctive Plant thing, was very different from what she thought.

She had used this power subtly when radiating Ki from some plants, but she had never expected the effectiveness of this ability to increase so much after fully unlocking the partial body transformation.

"You look more divine than I," Sensui complained, struggling to get to his feet.

With a strange excitement in his eyes, he looked at the towering tree that grew right where he had been defeated. He didn't know what to think, so he tried to walk towards the tree to make contact with it, but when he took a step, he almost fell.

Then a branch caught him and prevented him from falling. The tree itself had acted by holding him on a branch that had stretched out unnaturally to support him.

Taking advantage of the contact with the tree, Sensui's eyes glowed faintly with golden light before he looked at Bulma, who seemed to have figured out the same thing Sensui had.

"It's not what you think, it's neither your child nor mine, it's just a result of what happens when natural Ki is too concentrated in a tree. I've seen it before," Bulma said quickly, clearing the possible strange thoughts in Sensui's mind.

Bulma remembered the Sunflower that constantly produced golden orbs of condensed sunlight, and it seemed that she had once again created another tree with sentience. Was this some kind of sign? Was she the one who would bring a race of plant people to life to rule the world?

Bulma shook her head, shaking the silly ideas out of her mind. She would deal with this tree later, there was the next fight of this tournament to make room for, a fight Bulma was looking forward to for one simple reason.

The fighters were King Chapa and Luci-Fer. The latter was the reason for Bulma's attention: a guy with a strange afro, a strange name, and a strange fighting style. Also, his Ki was just at the level of a normal fighter without going to the extreme and using no Ki.

A completely normal guy, but there was something about his appearance and behavior that made Bulma pay attention to him in his other fights, especially his blatant resemblance to a certain human fighter in the future, Mr. Satan.

It didn't help that his name was 'Luci-Fer', a name that, like Mr. Satan, had a strong connection to the evil being from the Bible. As the arena was quickly repaired by a combination of Capsule Corp. employees and tournament staff, Bulma returned to her assigned rest area.

"Many people have expressed interest in this match! On one hand, we have a former champion, King Chapa! On the other hand, we have a guy.... how shall I put it, it seems that luck is his wife! Luci-Fer!" the presenter joked, and he was right.

The screen showed several clips of the previous fights, in which the fighter Luci-Fer not only gracefully dodged the attacks of his enemies, including some energy projectiles, but even his enemies ended up losing for some reason.

Whis looked with some interest at the fighter who called himself Luci-Fer as he stretched in the newly constructed arena. Weak, he was a very weak guy, but there was a strange fluctuation about him, as if the universe itself loved him.

Yes, Whis felt that the Universe, as a concept, loved this weak human, and thus gave him a happiness that even he found enviable. Then Whis looked out into the audience, where there was a young man with a dark complexion and an Afro, much like Luci-Fer.

He felt the same love of the universe in this young man, and not knowing what it could mean, Whis simply remembered the aura of these two men, hoping to spy on them in the future and find out why they were so special.

When the fight began, it was a repeat of the clips shown earlier. No matter how many attacks King Chapa threw, Luci-Fer was able to dodge them for one reason or another.

The strangest moment was when Whis, a being of immense power, felt like sneezing while eating grape jelly. How could he feel like sneezing, he had never done it in his life!

Whis' sneeze caused the jelly in his mouth to fall onto the sand, and by chance, King Chapa stepped on it and slipped uncontrollably, as if all his power was useless to prevent such an embarrassing fall.

Not only that, but he fell face-first onto the ground, breaking his nose despite the energy protection that covered his body. Bulma felt a chill at that moment, she felt that, except for some small things, this universe was 'serious'.

But Dragon Ball was a comedy show in its early days! Although the strange rules of TV shows didn't apply in real life, Luci-Fer's strange power seemed to turn a comedy around him, giving him an advantage when it came to fighting.

Luci-Fer took the opportunity to push the unsuspecting King Chapa out of the arena and won. With the announcer's reluctant announcement, Luci-Fer put his hands on his hips and burst into laughter as he looked up to the sky as if he were a great hero.

"Bulma... do you think we can beat him?" asked Krillin quietly, a little scared by what had just happened in front of him.

"I don't know," Bulma felt for the first time that the best thing she could do would be to stop training and become a comedian or something, it would certainly give her a power boost.

After thinking about it, she rejected it. She just thought that Luci-Fer had a lot of luck, there were people like that even in her previous life, though not as exaggerated, but technically luck is kind of power.

"Don't think about that, Krillin, better concentrate on your fight, you're next," Yamcha said, pulling his partner out of his stupor.

The screen announced the next combatants: Lapis vs. Krillin. Bulma saw this and felt a strong desire to laugh, it seemed that Krillin was as attached to the cyborgs as Trunks was, whether he wanted to be or not.

Krillin stepped into the arena full of confidence and determination, while Lapis was cautious, especially since he had seen how powerful Krillin was and the fact that he was Bulma's partner.

If Bulma was that powerful, her friends shouldn't be that far behind, right? Lapis even felt the desire to get closer to Bulma to see if his strength would grow as well.

"Begin!"
