Alexander's POV
Michael was done with his dinner before me. So after he finished his dinner, he gave me a quick peck on the head and left.
I went to our room after my dinner, but he was not there.
"Where is he?" I mumbled to myself and focused on getting his scent because there are just too many scents in the pack house!
As soon as I got his scent, I followed the scent and it led me to the garden in the pack house. No one goes here at night because.. I don't know why? I never asked. I walked over to Michael and sat beside him.
"What are you doing here so late?" I wrapped my hands around his shoulder and pulled him closer to me.
"Relaxing... This is the place I used to come when I wanted to relax," he leaned his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
"I want to talk to you about something,"
"Yes, what is it?" he didn't open his eyes but moved closer to me.
"Why were you talking low about yourself as the luna? Did someone tell you anything? Tell me the truth if someone has, because I know not everyone in the pack would approve of having a beta luna instead of an omega."
I could feel him sigh and shuffle in my hold "It's nothing like that, no one told anything, at least not that I know of. I was just worried because the people of the pack would need some reassuring about their pack line continuing" he opened his eyes and looked into mine "I know what I am capable of, Alex and I know I can became a good luna"
I sighed but nodded, "I just didn't like you talking low about yourself." I pouted, which made him smile.
"I know, your emotions made that pretty clear. You hated it and were and are to kill anyone who put those thoughts in my head," he smiled. He is smiling genuinely these days, and I like that, I like his genuine smile, it's beautiful.
"Your smile is really beautiful." I leaned closer to his face and pressed my lips against his kiss. It was a soft kiss, nothing more and nothing less.
"Thank you," he said with a slight blush tinted on his cheek as he broke the kiss.
"Let's go back to our room? It's getting cold, and you are not wearing clothes to stand the cold wind over here. Now, I know why people don't come here at night because it's cold."
He chuckled and wrapped his hands around my neck. "Hm.. Let's go"
"Want me to carry you back to our room?" My hand went from his shoulder to his waist and pulled him onto my lap.
"No, I can walk, and I can't let anyone see me like that. I am the beta of the pack!" he was saying he could walk, but his hold around me was not getting loose.
"So what? I am your alpha, and I can carry you whenever and wherever I want." I picked him up in koala style, earning a yelp but no protest from him.
"That's my good beta," I whispered in his ear. I walked back to our room with his face buried in my neck, arms wrapped around my neck, and legs wrapped around my waist.
It was not too late, that's why there were a few people still awake and roaming around the pack house. The shocked look on their faces when they saw me carry Michael to our room was priceless.
"Didn't know the beta could be so cute!" one of the young rescued omegas staying in the pack house said.
"You don't do a lot of things, kid." I adjusted our position and looked at the omega who was cooing at my mate, "He is a very adorable being! You know when I-OUCH!" I looked at Michael with a pained look, but he only gave me a side eye.
"What happened?"
"He bit me!" I don't care if I sound offended because I was!
"Maybe because he has a reputation to maintain, which was about to get ruined by you," the omega said between her giggles.
"Could be. I will leave before he tears my neck off."
"He can. He was the one who rescued me and my friends from the rogues. I can say, Don't make him angry."
"I have heard the tales... He is a scary, adorable being."
"I don't know about adorable, but scary? Yeah"
"I will go before I get my neck ripped off for talking too much."
"Good idea. Have a good night, alpha and beta."
"Good night, kid."
I took Michael to our room and laid him on the bed.
"Michael, leave me." he was lying on the bed with his legs and arms holding me tight me tightly. I was hovering over him.
"Love, leave me." I kept my hands beside his head to keep my balance.
"When is your rut?" he whispered in my ear. His voice was sultry.
"I have to check," I whispered back.
"You know, alphas are horny when their rut is near" I can feel his hot breath on neck and it is making me horny.
"Seems like you are speaking by experience." There was a bitterness in my voice because I knew he was.
"When is your rut, alpha?" he whispered in a sultry voice again, but along with that, he rubbed his crotch against mine.
"Let me check. I can only check if you leave me, Michael."
"Fine!" I just know he rolled his eyes and fell on the bed like a starfish with my body still hovering over him.
"You are horny" I said while looking into his eyes because they were filled with lust.
"Maybe," he smirked, "Now, go and check when your rut is. I need to adjust my work week for that."
"Yes, boss," I immediately got up and checked my phone.
"It's the day after tomorrow."
"No wonder, you have been so horny the past week" he chuckled to himself.
"Yeah..." I sighed and put my phone down. I lay beside him, keeping my head on his biceps and arms around his waist as I cuddled him this time.
"You are cute when you act like a baby." he hugged me like I always hug him. Protectively and possessively.
"Whatever you say, beta," I snuggled into his neck, earning a peck from him on my head.
"Let's sleep," he pulled a blanket over us, and we were soon asleep.
