"You and I have the same path, and I am waiting for someone who shares my ambition," the Cave Master replied.
"Are you the owner of the cave mansion?" Lin Yifan asked.
"Indeed!"
"You are still alive?" Lin Yifan asked in surprise.
At this thought, he couldn't help but shiver, his body covered in goosebumps; if it were true, that would be terrifying.
"I have long since vanished into the ether; this is just a remnant of my consciousness," the Cave Master replied.
Lin Yifan let out a sigh of relief; as long as it wasn't an undead mortal, everything was fine.
After calming down, he inquired, "I saw a painting in the senior's secret room depicting the Gate of Longevity. Were you pursuing the Path of Longevity during your lifetime?"
The reason he became the "destined one" was that he saw this Gate of Longevity, and thus understood the words on the door of the last secret room of the Cave Master.
