Ryu had no more ideas for explosion seals and was now trying a new ratio for the magnetic seal with very weak magnetising effects. He put the seal on the dummy and activated it. It showed no effect. Ryu came close to it and noticed its effect using an electromagnetic field measuring device.
- [Magnetic seals]: A variant of the Chakra-Fusion seal that stores lightning and wind chakra in the seal in a 90-10 ratio and fuses them together upon triggering to imitate [Magnet Release-Kekkei Genkai]. It can weakly magnetise all kinds of materials temporarily.
Ryu thought, "If I could magnetise random materials, I could also replicate the magnetic control like Erik Lehnsherr. But can I control only metals this way?"
Ryu thought, "To make control easier, I should place a separate kind of [Magnetic Seals] on my own body. Maybe along my chakra pathways on my hands to directly feed them. And I'll need to embed mental control commands directly into the seals. That way, I can just think about moving something, and the seals will handle the rest of the commands. I will influence magnetic field lines generated by Earth and control the magnetised objects."

- [Magno-Telekinesis Seal – pair]: Can generate and control magnetic fields in the proximity. Can give physical control over ferromagnetic objects in close proximity. Range and control are better for already magnetised objects.
Ryu created both the seals to work with hand gestures and therefore created them to work with both the hands. He also could control them with thoughts but for easy control, hands would be the best.
"Okay, let's try this one," Ryu said and then wrote both the pairs of the seal on fuinjutsu paper. One generates pull and another generates push. Both can control magnetic fields in their bodies and also influence and amplify magnetic fields in the environment using chakra. After he was done writing the seal, he placed the seal tags on his forearm and activated them.
Dan, who was observing, got curious and asked, "What are you trying to achieve?"
Ryu replied, "You will see in a minute."
Ryu used small iron bearings and paper clips to test the effects.

He first used the seal from a distance and the test objects had no effects. He then shortened the distance and the test objects started vibrating. He then tried controlling them at a very short distance and the objects first moved towards him and then locked at a close distance.
Ryu then tried it again with kunais and shuriken placed on a table near him. When Ryu activated the [Magno-Telekinesis Seal], they responded to Ryu's gestures by soaring upwards in close proximity.
Dan saw the development and thought, "This is beyond amazing. If he keeps on developing his seals like this, then he will be able to replicate the Third Kazekage's jutsus. Maybe even the jutsus of the First Hokage."
Ryu said, "The effects of this seal are still too weak."
Dan questioned, "Weak?
Ryu replied, "Yes, the pull from my body and pull from the magnetic fields of the earth are balanced to control the movement of the objects but the control distance is very short. This way I can only block the incoming barrage of shuriken and kunai , which I can simply do with a barrier and move them in close proximity, which is mostly useless as I cannot hurt the enemy using this."
Dan replied, "You are right. It's weak and you need to take into account that some of the kunai will be attached with paper bombs."
Ryu said, "Yes."
Ryu tried to push the levitating objects but he could only push them weakly and they could only reach far and they fell when the objects reached a short distance. The push was without much penetrating power.
Ryu thought, "Shuriken and normal kunais would not harm me, but it would be risky if they were connected to paper bombs. Even if I throw them away, I should still feel the blast's shockwave at this distance. I can use it in combination with Reflex Shield. Or I could add the deflection effect on reflex guard. First, I should try [Magno-Telekinesis] with magnetised objects."
Ryu said, "Let's try it again by magnetising non-ferric objects first, using the [Magnetising Seal] I had created yesterday."
Ryu then put a [Magnetising Seal] with strong magnetic effects on a dummy and then tried controlling it with the [Magno-Telekinesis Seal-pair].
The [Magnetising Seal] and [Magno-Telekinesis Seal-pair] were linked through trigger seals Ryu had learned from the many explosive seals. Ryu tweaked them a bit to work in tandem so as to have better control and also save chakra. The linking also increases the working efficiency of the seals as a whole.
Ryu used his fist and gestured, grabbing and pulling the dummy towards himself. The dummy flew very fast. Ryu instinctively put his hand forward to stop it and grabbed the neck of the dummy. Ryu was smiling like a maniac.
Ryu shouted, "That was awesome."
Dan replied, "Yes, it was impressive. It had more range than attracting non-magnetised things. Either that seal or this seal performs better on magnetised objects, or perhaps your chakra is the deciding factor because both of those seals use your chakra."
Ryu said, "Yes, you are right. Let's try it with other seals."
Ryu took a [Magnetising Wind Seal] and placed many metal objects, including shurikens and kunais around the testing area. Once he activated the seal, the magnetising winds were generated from the seal explosion that magnetised everything ferromagnetic in the range.
Ryu said, "Okay, let's try it again."
Ryu carefully activated the [Magno-Telekinesis Seal-pair] and all the metal objects started to float. Ryu moved them in circles. and even demonstrated proper control by moving them around his body. He even hit some targets in the bullseye with magnetised objects and demonstrated that now his hits have penetrating power and a proper aim with his control over the seal.
Dan said, "This seal is amazing."
Ryu replied, "I know. If I can, I should create a seal that can stealthily magnetise only objects I want without a bigger wind blast or attaching any seal onto the objects. That way I can use the weapons the enemy threw at me. I will add that feature to [Magno-Telekinesis Seal-pair] later."
Ryu then experimented some more and noted all the effects of using different levels of magnetising seals and different weights of the objects. And formed a clear understanding of the best usage of different levels of seals in different use cases with different distances and weights.
Ryu said, "Now I can control objects with this [Magno-Telekinesis Seal-pair]. In short distances, I can freeze-stop incoming shuriken and kunai and also deflect them, and in long distances, I can control objects I have magnetised using [Magnetising Seal] or [Magnetising Wind Seal]."
Ryu experimented some more and got familiar with the seals some more. He finds out that he can also use the [Magnetising Wind Seal] to temporarily magnetise iron objects in the vicinity and control them with the [Magno-Telekinesis Seal-pair].
After finishing his work, Ryu thought, "I only have trained Lightning and Earth affinity and a little bit of Wind. With this [Chakra Fusion Seal], I can duplicate the effects of [Magnet Release-Kekkei Genkai] and [Explosion Release-Kekkei Genkai] for now. I will try Earth-Wind chakra fusion later. I wonder what it would result in?"
Ryu thought, "My control at [Explosion Release] and [Magnet Release] through fuinjutsu is good enough for battles but I cannot use it now. I must use it only when my life is in danger. I wonder if I can replicate [Wood Release] with the same control and intensity. Let's leave that thought for when I master water release."
Ryu said, "I think this is enough for now. I will now complete my earth affinity training, and then I will continue with my water affinity. Then I will try the [Chakra Fusion Seal] once again with Earth-Wind chakra ."
Dan asked him, "You have told me you are building new jutsu based on Earth release and Water release and also that you need the highest level of chakra shape manipulation, but you haven't told me exactly why you need these two. You told me about that new material, carbon, to help Jiyuu but you have not told me how all the different ninjutsu connect and what you are going to do with them."
Ryu sighed and thought, "Maybe I should have told him more clearly. He could have some tips."
Ryu asked him, "The carbon compound I told you about,"
Dan said, "Yes. What about it ?"
Ryu said, "I am trying to control that material like the Third and Fourth Kazekage could control metals."
Dan was shocked. He said, "Controlling a new material will not be easy. Not every material is chakra compatible."
Ryu replied, "But I can control it already."
