Pov: Dale
People have different fears, and each person's fears are ranked differently. Some people are slightly scared of heights, but are horrified just thinking about the deep ocean. My deepest fear was simple. When I die, I want to be remembered. If I can be remembered through the dense brush of time, then I have accomplished more than billions of people could dream of.
Such a difficult dream to accomplish, but luckily, in the mind, anything is possible, right?...
"...Fine, play the silent game, Flaky, just know no secret is safe from me. "
No secret is safe. That is true. I'm sure Bill is rushing towards an answer, but it might be slightly off; he might think I'm from a different timeline. I highly doubt the idea of me watching him from a show would cross his mind first.
But I can look at the bright side, he'll focus more on me than Dipper, meaning I should be able to control the events of this timeline better. Speaking of following the show occurrences, I need Dipper to find that door which leads to Stan watching him chop wood, if he doesn't discover it.
The relationship between Dipper and Stan will fully splinter, and if I want to defeat Bill, they're relationship needs to be intact. I stare at Bill before several rushing footsteps enter my ears.
" You leave our uncle's brain alone, you isoceles monster! " Without a strain of thought, Mabel rushed at Bill, leaping at him to only be swallowed whole. Being quickly spit back out. " Got you! Wait...? What?! "
I stare down at Mabel before glancing back up at Bill Cipher, the events are following the show's perfectly, nothing is different so far. Good, if everything is the same, he should shoot a laser at Dipper, and-
Before I could finish my train of thought, the sight of a pupil-blinding laser hurled at me before stopping inches away from my left eye.
" I had a hunch you could stop that. " Said Bill, his single eye intensely focusing on me, I didn't mean to stop it, I just thought of a way to, and it stopped... " But it's nice to meet you, Stan's Family. " Said Bill, continuing to speak before Dipper cut him off.
" You won't get the code to Grunkle Stan's safe. "
" Fat chance, I'm the master of the mind, ask your friend there. " Said Bill, pointing his cane at me before twirling it and pointing at the shack. " Behind me, in the shack, is a maze of thousands of doors representing your uncle's memories. I simply need the find the door that shows Stan inputting the code and Gideon will reward me handsomely. "
Without a single other word, Bill flew back, crashing through the shack's walls, leaving a triangle-shaped hole. I stare at the hole, before my eyes drift down to the stairs, and I slowly walk towards them, going up to them, entering the shack...
Pov: Dipper
I don't get it. I thought I was close to figuring out this journal, and suddenly, he pops up talking about some God that's trying to enter Grunkle Stan's mind for Gideon. Argh, every time I answer one question, a million more pop up.
At least, I know, he does know about this journal, meaning he could be the key to answering all of my questions. Every time I've met him, he seemed rational, cool-headed, but when he was talking to us, in the shack, he was nervous, I could tell.
However, when we entered Stan's mind, he was ahead of us, already talking to Bill Cipher, the two clearly don't like each other, and yet, when he was faced with that God, his coolheadedness returned. He was scared in the slightest. It's like he already has a plan for everything-
" Dipper, what are you thinking about. " Abruptly, Mabel interrupted my train of thought, as my mind snapped back to reality, focusing on my feet walking down hovering stairs, leading to several different doors. How are we meant to find the door that leads to the safe's code?
I stare at the back of the strange man before I speak. " Do you know which door the safe's code is in?... " He doesn't respond to me, only glancing at me briefly with a slightly puzzled look on his face before looking forward, approaching one of the doors floating slightly above the stairs.
Does he not like me? Or does he not trust me? Why isn't he talking to us? I let out a gentle cough before asking another question. " Um. What's your name? "
" Dale. " He says opening a door and walking into it. Dale doesn't say anything more, walking past door after door, each containing a memory. Before abruptly, Dale looked back at us, speaking.
" I don't know where the door is, aren't you going to search for it? "
He's right. We need to hurry up and find the door...
Five Minutes Later: ( Pov Still Dipper )
Even after five minutes, we've found nothing. Even worse, growing frustrated, I separated from the group, walking by my lonesome in these barren halls. Grunkle Stan's voice repeatedly entering my ears.
I walked further through the hall, aimlessly, glancing at each door. It's going to be impossible for me to find that safe. Is it even worth it? Stan doesn't even like me. If anything, I should let Bill Cipher get the-
" If you do anything...to hurt my family, whether it be physically or mentally. If you even dare think about manipulating or harming them. I'll personally murder you. "
That voice. It's Grunkle Stan's who is he talking to? Ignoring every other door, I slowly walk towards his voice, grabbing onto a doorknob, and creaking the door open. Standing in front of me in the middle of a forest was Grunkle Stan... Facing Dale? With an enraged look on his face...
As Dipper opened the door, on the other side of Grunkle Stan's mind, a group could be seen walking together.
Dale walked through the creaking halls, each door speaking, bouncing off the walls. And yet, Dale's eyes never once drifted to one of them, tightly focused on the floor until a rug came into his vision, but instead of stopping, he walked over it. Glancing back at Soos and Mabel, who also walked over the rug, Dale suddenly came to a halt, letting out a hefty sigh. His eyes drifted down to Mabel, his mind raced, before he sighed and walked towards her.
Staring down into her eyes, Dale tightly balled up his right fist. He had walked over the rug several times already, expecting Mabel to say something, but even after roughly five minutes. She has said nothing.
One idea instantly popped into his head. If Mabel, who is already quieter than usual, can't figure out it's under the rug, there's a good chance the person Dale is looking at isn't Mabel at all, but rather Bill Cipher.
" Hey, Dude. What's your problem? " Asked Soos with concern in his voice. In a flash, Dale's right arm flickered, throwing a punch at Mabel, whose eyes widened, before the punch halted mere inches away from her face. Dale glared down at Mabel with a confused look on his face. He didn't expect Mabel, or rather Bill Cipher, to flinch.
" I-I'm not scared of you. " Mumbled Mabel, as Dale pulled back his punch, dropping his right hand to his waist, still looking down at Mabel before a yellow light illuminated the left side of his face, in the corner of his eye, Dale saw something, a floating yellow object, it's massive pupil tightly focused on him.
" What's wrong, Flaky? Is something not going as planned? " Said Bill Cipher, floating next to Dale, shocking both Mabel and Soos, who stumbled back in shock. Until Mabel shouted.
"You're not getting my uncle's- "
" Shooting Star, if you're scared of Flaky here, you shouldn't talk to me, but don't feel bad, he didn't notice you talking. He didn't notice it, because I made him unable to hear you. " Said Bill Cipher, cutting off Mabel, as he began to float around Dale.
" Always thinking ahead, only looking forward. She pleaded for you to respond, but nothing, radio silence. You should focus on your surroundings more."
Dale didn't respond, his eyes tracking Bill Cipher's body, tightly watching every inch of his body, until he sighed and finally spoke.
" Mabel. When you find the door, destroy the code. Until then, I'll handle this false God."
" False...Faƙẹ̿͋̒̕ !" Roared out Bill Cipher, his body glowing red, increasing in size, as he hovered closer towards Dale, being mere millimeters away from his body. With his voice laced with anger, Bill spoke.
" Oh のん, you are the only one that I consider a fraction of a threat, the rest?! Pft, not even worth a penny, meaning if I get rid of you. Those kids will be charred to cosmic toast. Gideon will have to wait. Your death is first."
Before Dale could even blink, the ground underneath him exploded, sending his body ragdolling through the wooden roof, as a massive stone pillar hurled through the shack at the speed of light. The pillar crashed into Dale's body, making him grunt as he gingerly stood back up.
Dale took a deep breath, his clothes flapping in the wind, as the pillar hurled higher and higher into the air. He glanced around before Bill Cipher appeared above him, his glowing red body illuminating Dale's face a dark red. The two locked eyes before Dale smirked and spoke. " It's a battle of imaginations, right? If so, it's my win. "
" Heh, the universe is my playground, reality is nothing to me. I've witnessed everything. The first humans, even the Big Bang. So tell me, how is your imagination greater than mine? Flaky?"
"You're right, and that's my problem. You know everything, how to bend reality to your benefit like a simple game. You know how to do all of that, and yet, you know nothing of me. " Responded Dale, twisting his hand, stopping the momentum of the pillar, halting it to a complete stop.
" What makes you so important?! "
" Who knows? I'm not entirely sure myself, but I'm here for a reason. "...

I've split this chapter apart into two chapters mainly because I thought it was getting too wordy, and I didn't want to crunch this chapter together since something important to the story will happen next chapter, and it would be pretty easy to miss.
The other part of the chapter will either come out late today or tomorrow. But I hope u enjoyed it, let me know if there's any mistakes.
