Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 Crucio Mundus Finis Telum

Gilderoy Lockhart, oblivious to the genuine dragon observing his theatrics, continued his charade. His voice boomed through the classroom,

"Dragon? I have killed them before. It is as easy as breathing to someone like me."

His arrogance was clear, a performance he had perfected over countless classes, each filled with wide-eyed students hanging onto his every word.

Arthur, however, remained unimpressed.

He watched Gilderoy's antics with a shake of his head, his mind racing.

He had read every Harry Potter book. but Gilderoy's current narrative didn't align with any of them.

"Maybe it is an AU."

He mused.

"An alternate universe. Whatever the case, this pompous fool needs to be dealt with first."

Arthur's instincts screamed at him.

He could sense the growing impatience of both Great Red and Ophis.

[Kill this fool for us, Arts!]

[Yes, put him into the eternal embrace of his creator.]

If he didn't do anything soon, they might take matters into their own hands, and the consequences could be catastrophic.

"Well, Professor Gilderoy,"

Arthur showed his hand.

"I'm eager to witness your magical prowess firsthand. I've been practicing a spell, and I believe it would be most effective if demonstrated on a subject as... radiant as yourself. Would you be so kind as to illuminate us with your presence?"

Gilderoy Lockhart, ever the showman, regarded Arthur with a calculating gaze.

He knew of the boy, having been introduced by Dumbledore himself.

However, he also perceived Arthur as something of a dilettante, unlikely to possess knowledge of truly advanced magic.

Weighing his options, Gilderoy saw an opportunity to further solidify his reputation.

With a magnanimous smile, he declared.

"But of course, Arthur! As your professor, it is my duty to guide your magical education. Consider this a practical lesson in the effects of high-level spells."

His tone dripped with self-assurance, leaving no doubt in anyone's mind that he was about to deliver a dazzling display.

The students around them murmured, eager to see their professor in action.

Arthur, a subtle glint in his eye, merely offered a polite nod.

The morning air was crisp as the students shuffled out of the classroom and onto the expansive glassfield.

Gilderoy, with his usual flair, strode confidently forward and positioned himself before the group.

Arthur, in contrast, took a more subdued approach, quietly moving to the side.

With a flourish, Gilderoy began his lecture on Defense Against the Dark Arts.

However, despite his eloquence and charisma, there was an underlying hollowness to his words.

His theories, while impressive on paper, lacked the practicality and grit required for real combat.

They were the musings of a man who had read extensively about battles but had never truly experienced the chaos and unpredictability of a magical duel.

"Let me demonstrate how to duel. As I am a professor I will let you attack first."

Gilderoy said to Arthur while hoping that he would look good to everyone.

Arthur nodded, and without hesitation, drew forth his crimson wand.

It was a wand he had bought from Olivander before he went to Hogwarts with Minerva.

Countless wands had wanted to be his.

Yet, Arthur's intuition had guided him towards this particular wand, its core was from the heartstring of a dragon.

[You can upgrade it by giving it your blood.]

Now, the crimson wand was more than just a conduit for his magic.

It was an extension of himself, a catalyst for a more potent draconic magic.

"Crucio Mundus Finis Telum" (Crimson World Ending Spear)

Arthur just made up the name of the spell using Harry Potter style.

Crimson energy swirled and coalesced around Arthur's outstretched wand, forming a spear of pure, malevolent magic.

The air itself seemed to crackle with the intensity of the spell, and an ominous crimson aura surrounded the weapon, casting long, eerie shadows across the battlefield.

Gilderoy, who had been anticipating a less potent attack, stood frozen in disbelief.

His eyes widened as he took in the sheer magnitude of the spell Arthur had unleashed.

This was no simple incantation. It was a high-level spell capable of inflicting devastating damage.

"I-I didn't expect this... This isn't how I imagined it,"

He stammered, his eyes wide with panic as he took in the grim scene before him.

Arthur, his expression impassive, raised his wand with a swift, fluid motion.

A surge of crimson energy pulsed from the tip.

The sheer power emanating from the spell was incredible.

Gilderoy's legs gave out beneath him. A dark stain spread rapidly on his trousers as he lost all control of his bodily functions.

He was paralyzed by fear, unable to even attempt to dodge the oncoming attack.

The crimson spear hurtled towards him, its energy crackling ominously. Just as it was about to make contact, it dissipated into thin air, revealing itself to be nothing more than an illusion.

Arthur lowered his wand, his expression unchanged.

He had no intention of using such devastating magic on a mere human, no matter how despicable.

The illusion had been enough to break Gilderoy completely, exposing his cowardice and utter lack of true power.

...

Which world should be the third floor. Arthur had finished learning all the spell at Hogwarts and was about to go to the third floor.
