The original fifth wish was quite simple. If the people, whom I deem as my servants, fulfill the conditions of any of the quests in the quest window of the system, that quest that had its condition fulfilled, would be considered complete for me and I would get that quests reward.
If my original fifth wish was granted, the first thing I would have done after entering the tower would have been to deem all the people in the tower as my servants.
Any of these people whom I 'Deem' as my servants, if any of them, anywhere, completed any of the quests in my system then I would get the reward of the said quest. And, the quests were also repeatable!
One of the quest I have is named, Slay your enemy! and had the reward of 10 gold. the condition for completing this quest was to defeat and kill the opponent. And, inside the tower of God, how many people fought each other daily? How many fought the monsters daily? how many were killed in these fights? thousands! or even Millions!
And there were a few more quests like this in the quest window of the system. Not only that, I would get even more quests once I reach floor 20 and become an E Rank regular. Currently, the only quest tab that I could access to was F Rank quest tab but that would have changed soon enough making more repeatable quests available for my 'Deemed' servants to fulfill. Without even realising it, all the people in this tower would have helped me become the ultimate God of this Tower...and that's also in less then a day!
Now I know why The old God refused my wish without even batting an eye. my fifth wish was absurd. No matter how I thought about it, this wish simply had Cosmic level overpoweredness. Heh, I was asking for sharingan as my first wish right? Changing my bloodline to otsutsuki would have been overpowered? heh,really...these two doesn't even come close to the level of overpoweredness my original fifth wish would have granted me.
Though the God still decided to give me an extremely downgraded version of the fifth wish, even if he put a lot of restrictions on it.
For example, where before, I could just deem someone as my servant and gain benefits now, I had to form a contract with one individual and only then can I say that they are my servant. this effectively stopped me from just 'deeming' anyone to be my servant and now, I had to actually let them know that I am making them my servant or, in other word, 'ask' them to become my servant. and, they, now, can also refuse to be my servants, whereas before, they didn't had any choice in the matter. heck, they didn't even know that they were considered servants by someone who had just entered the tower.
But God didn't stop here, He further downgraded my wish by putting a maximum limit to how many servants I can have. currently I can have only 10 servants but once I become an E Rank regular, that maximum limit would increase.
Not only that, but the God also replaced the 'fulfill quests to get its rewards' condition to 'defeat monsters and get gold'.
Whereas before, when I would have gotten the reward of a quest if my servants completed them, now, I would get gold if they slayed monsters.
The power difference between my original fifth wish and the wish that was granted to me was like haven and earth. but I wasn't dissatisfied...well, maybe slightly...butI knew that the God wouldn't grant that wish anyway so I was expecting to be rejected by him.
moving on, I looked at my two future teammates to see their reaction to what I said. Both of them were astonished by my ability but it didn't look like they were against the idea of joining me.
"All right. I'll be your teammate!" Amelia said looking determined. From the side, Dofu also nodded, "Hm, let's form a team!"
I looked at these two and smiled, feeling like I was worried for nothing last night. I looked at the both of them and said, "Alright then,"
I said and took out two empty papers from my pocket, "Sign on these."
I handed the paper and a pen to Amelia. "What is this?"
"It's nothing. don't worry about it and just sign." Amelia stared at me for a second a bit doubtfully but then decided to sign the paper.
I then handed another paper to Dofu and Amelia handed Dofu the pen. Dofu didn't really think much about it and signed quickly. And with this, I gained my first two servants!
"Hehehe..." I chuckled a little, feeling like I was scamming these two in front of me.
Both the people in front of me looked at each other as my chuckle reached their ears. After looking at that chuckling face, they didn't know if joining the person before them was the right thing to do or not...
"Um...Amin? I don't want to disturb you but, you said we should stay at the second floor a bit longer right?" I heard Amelia ask.
I controlled my chuckle and focused on her. "Heh...Yes. I wanted us to postpone climbing the tower so that we all can get stronger. With our current strength, I felt that we would be dead if we tried to climb it right now. with my 'ability' we would be able to increase our strength much quicker then most." I told them. it wasn't a lie but it wasn't a full truth as well.
I had told them that my ability increases the potential of the people around me but that wasn't really how it worked. for my ability or my fifth wish to work, we now had to start killing some monsters. I would gain Gold from killing these monsters which I would use to increase their strength. Now explaining all this would have been a pain for me so I opted to a 'Not a lie' solution.
I had to convince them to start killing monsters now and I already had a rough plan about how to. But it seemed like I didn't really have to use that plan as Amelia spoke again, "If we are going to stay longer on this floor, then we should get some kind of a job since this rent free apartment that we have been living in was only available to us for three days and today, we have to leave this apartment."
The apartment that we got when we came to this floor was provided to us by the official who greeted us before. It was free until the next floor test started which is today. the ration was also free, that's why we didn't had to worry about too many things before. but now that we have decided to stay longer, our worry free and cost free lives have ended. and we would need to earn points (Currency of tog world) if we wanted to live here.
"Ah, don't worry about it. I have already thought about that! we are going to do the same thing all the other regulars do to earn points...Sell monster's body parts!" I said looking at my future Gold farm... servants.
