Vela held her empty machine gun tightly as she gazed upon the dead bodies that littered the corridor. Some twitched still, one lay beneath the tower shield that it was planning on using to rush her and get close enough to kill her. They were all dead, she heard the life force gate open off in the distance as she stood up slowly. Her hands were still somewhat numb from the constant suppressive fire she had to use to keep Mizar's drones at bay.
The planet itself was beautiful. As she made her way past the corpses she drew her pistol, the gun disappeared as though it were fabricated by the pack on her back. As she neared the end of the corridor she saw the life force gate, which creaked upward as it sensed her approach. Beyond the gate was a vast, open desert of blue sands.
Cerulean seemed to be a pretty rough place for a member of the Jet Force, but after having hitched a ride in on a warship she felt like it was the next logical step. She had gathered information aboard the Sekhmet that Mizar's drones used the underground network of caves as a breeding ground for new drones.
It looked like a dark and icy wasteland as she stepped forward, the sky filled with stars and the ground littered with dunes of blue sand. It wasn't cold though, the temperature seemed to be just right for her. If the planet were closer to Earth it may have been a choice destination for civilians to vacation to - Even though it was fairly barren on the surface, the sands and night sky were absolutely stunning. The whole world was shockingly beautiful... She was careful to keep an eye out for more drones, but the blue-haired Gemini couldn't help but take in the amazing view...
Mat lay staring up at the stars. He didn't know where he was - for all he knew he was back in one of Alice's worlds. It didn't matter to him though, the beautiful blue sands were comfortable to lay in and the stars were amazing as well. He had always been into Astronomy and different sciences, so seeing the stars from a new planet was a beautiful experience. Even with the overwhelming pleasure that came with the job he had inherited - He had no idea what it was he was supposed to be doing, but the pleasure he experienced in each life never seemed to fade until it was literally drained from him in the Stream.
Then, he heard it. He hadn't managed to gather enough energy to run or do anything, especially in a sandy environment. He'd likely just waste the energy and get nowhere... The little one pushed himself up slightly to see who it was that approached.
She was beautiful. She gazed upward at the stars as well, her eyes glancing to the horizon every so often so she wouldn't be caught off-guard in an ambush. He didn't recognize the weapon she held, but it didn't matter. Each little beat of his heart pulsed another wave of pleasure as he watched her boots press into the sand with each step before her left foot lifted over his little body.
All he could do was wait for the inevitable...
Her foot landed roughly on his little body. The air was forced out of his lungs sharply, causing a small 'Squeak' to fill the air. It was far to faint to be heard by Vela as she stepped forward. The ball of her foot pressed down on him, pressing his [REDACTED] down between his legs as he felt his body press down into the sands. It wasn't enough to save him entirely though as all of her weight shifted onto his little body. His ribs creaked before breaking, his abdomen split open releasing his intestines as his legs flattened out entirely.
He thought he was dead ~ The pain was overly familiar... Then her foot lifted.
He came with it like gum stuck to the bottom of her shoe. His lungs quaking slightly as he took a breath in. His abilities didn't save him, it was the way she stepped in the sand - his legs were destroyed, his hips shattered, and his intestines were pressed out against the sole of her combat boot. However, his vital organs were all still working. Her foot quickly slammed down into the sand once again, mixing his intestines with the blue dirt. His legs and exposed organs began to turn blue with the sand as she walked along.
Vela made her way to the top of a sand dune, crouched to make herself as small of a target for any scouts as possible. The entire place seemed to be devoid of life, but there was something that seemed to call out to her ~ Wooden crates, like the corridor she was ambushed in when she first arrived on the planet. That had to be it, it had to be the entrance to the hive system...
With her pistol in hand she slid down the sand dune and made her way over. It was strangely open for the entrance to something so important though... She ran over to a crate as quickly as she could, crouching for some cover as she analyzed the situation from a safe distance.
Two drones appeared almost as though the came from the wall itself. She quickly darted toward the side of the canyon, keeping the wall at her left and her firearm pointed at the two as the exited. As she approached them, she saw something in the sand that was half-buried - A cell for her Machine Gun. The soldier cautiously picked it up and brought it near her backpack, which took the ammunition in the same way it stowed her machine gun.
She was close enough now, in range for the kill.
***Bang Bang Bang***
She fired her pistol until it began to overheat, quickly running forward. The two drones fell easily, but there were more alerted to her presence. The soldier dove forward, her hand falling close to her backpack in her roll to stow her handgun. When she recovered from the roll she was facing the entrance in the cliff's wall with her machine gun drawn.
She held the trigger down, sweeping the entrance and watching as drones fell. She was too close and too quick, they didn't have the time to actually return fire in a narrow kill-zone like that. She had the upper hand... With a smile she stood up, her Machine Gun still half-filled with rounds as she approached the crack in the wall with caution.
Each step revealed a small passenger. In her fight his tiny body had been demolished. His arms had both been amputated and left in her wake as well as his right leg, the left was too well smashed into her boot to fall off. His skull had smashed immediately after her roll leaving him a little bloody mess on the sole of her boot.
More blue dirt... The closer she got to the Drone's hive, the more Mat was destroyed. By the time she entered the cavern system he was reduced to nothing. The blue dirt and mixed into his body turning him into a little unrecognizable dark blue smudge on her shoe. She never knew he was there... She'd simply keep fighting until he fell off entirely - a little blue flattened disc that was once a living creature smashed by the young Jet Force soldier...
