Chapter 45 - Study's End

"No... There's no scientific value in stepping on you again." Eirian groaned as she began to write upon the paperwork she had fabricated for her experiments. Ideas flew through her mind, but she was more interested in finding out about what made him different from other creatures and how he could return so quickly... Unharmed. She let out a light sigh as she watched him fiddle with the bit of cloth she had given him to cover himself. "Perhaps i'll dissolve you in acid..."

"I..." Mat whimpered lightly, looking up to her as she reached down. Her fingers wrapped around his tiny body as she lifted him from the table. He was much larger than normal, almost twice the size that he normally returned to life as. It was strange for him to realize how much longer he had been alive at this height... Alicia was far more accepting of the little one's fetishes and interests than her more scientific sister though. He watched as Eirian began to scribble some notes into a small box on the bottom of the page before making her way out of the room down the hall.

"Perfect..." She said, her tone sounding more annoyed than pleased as she caught sight of one of their more feral subjects. Icedmoon was the creature's nickname, a fur-coated being that Alicia and Eirian simply referred to as 'Fluffies'. While Ice's race wasn't entirely feral, she and her 'sister' had been wild for far too long. They were highly intelligent for what they were, but still behaved like animals on many occasions... As she approached, Ice's eyes lit up with excitement as she saw something in Eirian's hand.

Casually, the scientist read her paperwork. Extending an arm she held Mathew by his shoulders over Ice before letting go. The little one squeaked as he fell, sliding into Ice's maw along the creature's split tongue as her teeth snapped shut. She bit down once across his chest, crushing his ribs in a painful crack and spewing bits of blood through the creature's mouth and bursting the flavor that the creature was waiting for. As Eirian strolled away to more important tasks, Mathew's half-crushed body was forced down into darkness.

He was very much alive, just a little broken, as his tiny body disappeared. Icedmoon darted off the moment he was swallowed, his tiny lungs filling with the toxic air within the creature's stomach with each gurgling breath. He was suffocating, and at the same time - dissolving. He couldn't see well, but he could feel... It was going to be a slow, torturous death this time for the little one.

"Get anything good out of em'?" Alicia asked her sister from behind, trying to peek to the paperwork.

"Your pet's a pervert, i'm sure he'll be back in a few days or so. He's too... Compliant, I don't think he's really responding the way most creatures would."

"What'd ya do with him?"

"He's inside a friend of ours..." Eirian replied smugly.

"Well, I was going to see if I could get him back for a few before you killed him... What'll you do to him next?" Alicia groaned, still walking in her sister's footsteps.

"Vivisection, probably. I need to get a sample of his blood and organ tissue in the future to figure out where he came from. The first bit of gore you gave me was too tainted with your sweat to be of any use chemically."

In the meantime... Icedmoon had found her sister sleeping in a room nearby. Quickly, she ran over and curled up next to the familiar creature to join her in her little 'nap.' Mathew clung onto life, his lungs dissolving more and more with each breath he took as the young and feral creature simply relaxed with a cute and innocent yawn.

Notes: 07162109 - Subject - R. Mathew E. - Regenerative Humanoid

*The subject objected, again, to one of the idea's I had. It's not that he's particularly rude, in fact, that's kind of the problem. I don't feel as though he's giving me genuine output that I can utilize in my research. Perhaps it's time we discover his....constitution against dragonic stomach acids... Perhaps that'll get a more ...enthusiastic....response*

-Subject assumed deceased

-Awaiting return of subject, Update pending.
