Chapter 294: Shattered Pride, Vegeta's Furious Transformation!
"In front of me, blatantly using a Ki Wave—are you underestimating me too much?"
Android 64 spoke with a mechanical hum. Immediately after, it landed an elbow strike that left Vegeta immobilized. The blow was extremely heavy, showing no hint of mercy.
"Stop... underestimating me!!"
Vegeta growled through clenched teeth. Taking a step back, he soared into the sky and condensed a terrifying purple energy wave in mid-air.
This would be his final attack.
Considering the android's speed, Vegeta didn't spend much time gathering energy before unleashing his Final Flash. As the beam descended from the sky like a charging thunderbolt, it would have completely destroyed the Hyperbolic Time Chamber had it not been reinforced beforehand.
"Lord Vegeta's Final Flash!!"
"You must win!!"
"Never lose!!"
The Saiyans under Vegeta's command silently prayed. This attack was their last hope. If this, too, failed, their pride would be utterly annihilated, leaving them with no dignity left.
Android 64 raised its head to gaze at the descending attack. It extended both arms above its head. In an instant, its palms detached, revealing black cannon muzzles at the joints.
A burst of light flared!
Two horrifying beams of energy collided.
However, the clash of energy waves didn't last long. Despite using all his strength, Vegeta was unable to overpower Android 64's attack.
It only took a few moments...
Vegeta was swallowed by the energy blast.
BOOM!
A terrifying explosion filled the air with smoke.
Badly injured and battered, Vegeta slowly fell from the sky.
This scene dealt a massive psychological blow to the Saiyans in Vegeta's army, leaving them in stunned silence.
"Lord Vegeta..."
"Lord Vegeta actually lost!"
For the Earth-born Saiyans, this was somewhat acceptable. After all, the power displayed by the androids was unimaginably overwhelming.
However...
To Vegeta's army, the fact that they couldn't even defeat an android was devastating.
In that moment, the pride of the Saiyans was utterly shattered. Their last shred of dignity had been stripped away.
Even when Planet Vegeta was destroyed and they roamed the universe as nomads, they had never been so defeated. Over the years, they had grown stronger, especially after forming the Saiyan Army, which had dominated across the galaxy.
But now...
This loss was a heavy blow.
Never before had they seen Vegeta so humiliated. Though they had endured hardships over the years, they never saw themselves as mere fugitives, scurrying about like rats. After all, Frieza had largely ignored them, allowing them to expand their influence freely in the universe.
This was their first crushing defeat, one that obliterated their pride.
Karl and Greta were about to say something when their expressions suddenly shifted.
The previously battered Vegeta was now slowly standing up. Golden light began to radiate from his body, and his pupils gradually turned a glowing gold.
An overwhelming aura spread out...
His power surged several times over in an instant.
It was evident—Vegeta had broken through his limits!
Before anyone could react to the transformation, Vegeta suddenly vanished.
In the next moment...
He appeared right in front of Android 64.
Crack!
A crisp sound echoed as Vegeta forcibly tore off Android 64's arm. His cold, emotionless demeanor was downright awe-inspiring.
This unexpected turn left everyone stunned.
"A mere android dares to challenge the Prince of Saiyans? You're not worthy!!"
Immediately after, Vegeta drove his fist through Android 64's chest. The android didn't even have time to react. After transforming into a Super Saiyan, Vegeta's power level had reached an astonishing 200 million, far surpassing his former self.
Now, Vegeta's power completely overwhelmed Android 64. The android had no chance to resist, and even its renowned regeneration capabilities were rendered useless against such overwhelming force.
While its regeneration was strong...
It was useless against someone vastly stronger. This was a key weakness of this model of android.
Vegeta casually flung Android 64 aside as if discarding trash. Though it had made him look pitiful earlier, he had now undergone a complete transformation.
He had become a Super Saiyan!
Vegeta glanced at Karl and the others before turning away. Though he felt his current power was exponentially stronger than before, and he could feel the immense energy surging through him, he was cautious.
He had seen these warriors transform before—multiple times. Each time, their power had increased to an extraordinary level, enough to shock even him.
Now, though he had become a Super Saiyan, Vegeta doubted he was their equal. He knew better than to challenge them recklessly and invite humiliation.
"This isn't enough. This level of strength is still not enough!" Vegeta thought silently. A fire burned in his heart—he vowed that once he grew even stronger, he would crush those Saiyans beneath him.
But now was not the time.
Clap, clap, clap...
"Impressive, truly impressive. You've already transformed into the first stage of a Super Saiyan. As expected of the Saiyan Prince, your talent is extraordinary."
Karl applauded as he approached. He wasn't mocking Vegeta; his admiration was genuine.
Back then, achieving the Super Saiyan transformation had been a grueling process for them, requiring numerous intermediary stages such as Great Ape Form and Pseudo-Super Saiyan.
Unlike Vegeta, who had directly transformed into the first stage of a Super Saiyan, their path had been far more arduous. Thinking about it, Karl couldn't help but feel envious.
However, in Vegeta's eyes, Karl's demeanor was nothing short of blatant mockery.
Vegeta sneered, "One day, I will defeat you."
Karl chuckled and replied helplessly, "I wasn't mocking you; I was simply stating the truth."
"Besides, even if you defeat me, so what? It doesn't mean anything. Have you forgotten? My brother isn't the strongest among us." Karl spread his hands as he spoke.
Vegeta's eyes flashed with surprise. He had always believed Karl and the others were the strongest. As for their claims about having a leader above them, he had dismissed it as boasting.
But hearing Karl's words now, he began to doubt.
Could it be they weren't bluffing after all?
