Exelirus took in a breath.
A hero is a protector, a defender, and savior for all. They fight the tough battles others can't or too week to fight. They live and fight for others and never for themselves. That's what makes them the embodiment selflessness and hope.
Exelirus's eyes locked on to the TV screen, eyes filled terror and fear.
"Come Daniela, please", he begged as he watched Tigren pick her up and held her by the neck.
"It's time we put an end to this game", he heard the tiger beast man spoke as raising his razor claws and began proceeded to bring it.
Time then froze up, seemingly coming to a complete and utter halt.
Then what about those who…
Then got up from the coach, his body radiating with blue spark of Kinetrix energy.
…don't fight for everyone.
He then darted away at hyper fast speeds.
They don't have any interest in live for others…
He raced straight to the city as fast as he could.
…neither do they wish to fight for them.
He raced about through the streets of Hilltop before finally finding the plaza.
They aren't protectors, defenders, or saviors…
He burst through the plaza door with a loud boom as a massive surge of Kinetrix energy raced through him.
…but they are will to fight any battle if it means protecting…
Exelirus caught Speed Star in his arms.
…the very same hero that fought for and protected them.
Exelirus let out a breath as he looked down at Speed Star in his arms, who looked back at him. Her gaze weak and tired.
"…B…bluey", she spoke, she spoke in soft and weak tone.
The people had just watched in shock and anticipation as the new blue headed figured as zipped past them, failing to full process what had just happened or even who this new blue haired figure was.
"Daniel…", before Exelirus could complete his statement, he was interrupted by the two device by the sides of the walls around them activing, and triggering the very same barrier that once trapped Speed Star.
"I'll give to you kid", grudge beastly voice spoke up.
Exelirus then turned his to the source of the voice. His eyes widened upon seeing none other than Tigren back on his feet with a hand on his jaw right on the spot where Exelirus hit him.
"I don't know who you are but you hit like tank", he then pressed a button the remote on his hands, activating the sensors on the floor below where Exelirus stood.
In an instant, Exelirus felt millions of jolts surge through, causing a sharp and excruciating pain to race through him. Exelirus then wasted no time began to run, moving at supersonic speeds, deactivating the sensors as he did so.
Tigren upon Exelirus running just as fast as Speed Star just grinned.
"I see you're just as first as Speed Star. Don't tell me you her kid or something", Tigren chuckled.
"Oh well, it don't really matter who you. You will fall, just like she did after all you can maintain that moving at that speed for too long. It's only a matter of time and I'll success captured not just one but two speedsters. Today must be my lucky day", the tiger beast man mused at his fortune as in single day he had not only managed to finally best Speed Star, his must elusive of quarry yet but he had also managed to capture another speedster.
But perhaps Tigren was too hasty in his assessment of the situation and thinking his hunt was a success as the new prey he had just captured was nothing like other prey he had hunted before.
Exelirus gritted his teeth, his glowing with spark of kinetrix energy crackling as they traced through his body. He felt, with step he took, the power building up within, surging through every cell, every fiber of his very being, just waiting to let out. Glancing at Speed Star who currently laid on his arms, sore, tired, and beaten. Thinking about everything she done for him, giving him, an alien from another world a chance and a home there on Earth, after losing everything. She was the closest thing he had to a family there on Earth and there was no way he was going to lose her to a monster just like he did on Kinetrix.
So kept running and running, moving faster and faster with each step he took, allowing the power to continue building up inside of him as the kinetrix energy surged and flowed through him.
"What on earth?" Tigren spoke upon realizing that Exelirus wasn't getting tired out and slowing down like he expected, instead he seemed to speed up, moving faster and faster until he just vanished in to blue streak racing in circles within the barrier.
Even the people, reporters, and cops were taken aback Exelirus sheer speed as he failed to slow down, not even for a second and just kept running and running.
The power built up inside of him eventually reached a point Exelirus could no longer hold it in. His body then began to glow a radiant blue before finally, the power erupted in the form of a massive energy pulse, taking out both the energy, the sensor below his feet, the drone Tigren used to broadcast to the entire city along with the and everything electronic within the plaza as well hitting Tigren with enough force to send him flying back.
Once it was all over Exelirus, found himself standing in darkness as all the light in the plaza were put out by his energy pulse, still holding on to Speed Star with kinetrix energy still pulsing through him.
He then let out breath.
"Exelirus", Speed Star groaned, still yet to recover from the trap Tigren set for her.
"It's alright Daniela, I'm here. Let's get you out of here", Exelirus spoke, about to race Speed Star in his arms to somewhere safe but before he could take a single step forward a loud roar echoed through the surrounding darkness.
And upon hearing the roar, he felt his muscles tense out and freeze, preventing him from moving even an inch. Exelirus then heard the sound of something moving fast and straight for him.
Then a dark silhouette of a prowling tiger then emerged from the darkness, agilely prowling about stealthy, making just enough noise for Exelirus to know that something was stalking him within the darkness.
"Well, well, well, this is very interesting. And here I thought Speed Star would be my greatest quarry yet", the rough beastly voice of Tigren echoed in the darkness.
Exelirus tried saying something but it seemed as though even his lips were frozen along with this rest of his body.
"You're strong little cube, I'll give that but you see strength alone can save not save you now little cube for unlike you, I perfect vision, even in pitch black darkness", Tigren spoke as he moved through darkness, slowly creeping ever so closer to him.
Exelirus felt his heart racing from underneath his chest and wanted to run but his feet remain frozen fixed on the ground where he stood. Then savage pair of emerald green beastly eyes pierced through the darkness and locked eyes with him for only a second, before he struck and sent flying by a massive pawn to the face sending flying through the plaza and crashing outside straight in to one of the police cars.
Exelirus let out an audible groan, feeling as though every single bone in his body was broken, with blood sipping down his lips. The reporters and police that surrounded just watched, with eyes filled with shock as they wondered just who exactly he was.
They all then heard the sound of footsteps making their way out of the plaza. Then emerging out from the hole that was form when Exelirus was sent flying through the wall was Tigren, his eyes green eyes seemingly glowing piercing through the darkness as he emerged.
The police, upon seeing Tigren emerge out of the plaza, readied their guns and prepared to fire at him. Tigren noticing the police with their guns aimed at him just grinned before letting out a loud roar which caused their muscles to tense up and freeze in place, paralyzing them in place and preventing them from moving a single muscle or pulling the trig at him.
Tigren then focused his gaze on Exelirus who was currently lying on the floor next to the police car he crashed in, helpless, injured, and unable move. His glowing green eyes locked on to him like a predictor looking down at its helpless prey before devour it.
Exelirus watched helplessly, feeling his beating heart underneath his chest, frantically pounding about a million times per second. With him wanting to do nothing but dart away and run as fast as he could, but his legs like the rest of his body refused to move.
Tigren then began to approach him, slowly, taking his time, one step at a time, with a wicked plastered on his face, seemingly reveling from the sight of seeing Exelirus helpless cower in fear. His nostril flaring as they caught the scent of his fear, causing his grin to widened even more as he approached his helpless prey.
Exelirus's then locked on to Tigren as he approached him with fear and terror racing through him as he approached him. And as the fear raced through him, he was reminded of those dreadful final days of Kinetrix before it fell. Feeling his heart beating even more frantically underneath his chest, Exelirus felt the world around him begin morph and change.
He then found him lying on the barren waste lands of Kinetrix during its final days and before him was none other than a Sabraxian looming over him and staring down at him with a pair of emerald green eyes. Exelirus wanted to get up and run as far away and as fast as possible, but his body felt too heavy to move.
The Sabraxian then raised up one of its claws, seemingly about to strike him down. Exelirus his absolute best to summon then strength to lift his body and move out of the way, but try as he may, his body refused to move. It felt as though there tight unbreakable chain wrapped around him, prevent him from moving.
It seemed though there was no way out, and this was the end of Exelirus, last of the Kinetrixians. But then…

…Exelirus found him staring at familiar pair of scarlet eyes hidden away behind a concealing mask.

Blood soiled the ground as the reports and cops watched with terror and shock in their eyes.
Speed Star's eyes, though hidden by the mask it was still clear to see, were filled fear and worry as they stared at Exelirus, ignoring the pain inflicted upon after having used her back to protect Exelirus from Tigren slash. Her back bleeding with the blood from the wound created after taking the full brunt, sipping down and soiling the ground below.
Sparks of kinetrix energy then back to race through Exelirus's body with time beginning to slow down around them.
"Daniela I…", Exelirus's words was cut short by Speed Star placing a hand on his shoulder and smiling softly him, her eyes with filled with relief that he was alright.
Her gaze then shifted away from Exelirus and on to Tigren. Her arms tighten to a fist as she wore a look of pure unbridled rage before darting straight for him and sending a blow straight to his gut then sent him stumbling a few steps back.
Time then resumed at its normal pace, with Tigren reeling back and clutching on to his stomach as a result of Speed Star's attack. Then before he had chance to recover a kick was delivered to the side of his face, causing him to stumble back once again.
Tigren then attempted to let out a roar to stun and paralyze Speed Star like he did the police and Exelirus but before he could, Speed Star anticipating his attack swiftly struck his windpipe before unleash a ruthless barge of punches and kicks, battering and bombarding with an onslaught of her blows before finally stopping only when she was sure he had enough and collapsed on the flow, beaten and defeated.
Speed Star then let out breath before looking at the tiger beast man on the fall, his body covered with bruises, a broken windpipe, and she was fairly certain she broken a few of his bones. She looking down on her hands, still clinched in to a tight fist, a little bruised up due to the force behind the blows she delivered to Tigren's tough body. She wondered what on earth had gotten in to her as her gaze shifted in to the battered state of Tigren on the floor before her.
Anger, rage, helpless, frustration, all emotions Speed Star had long been accustomed in her long career as a hero and over the years she had learned not to let herself consumed by them, for she knew, if she faltered, even if it was just for a second, someone could get hurt and yet…
"Dan…I mean Speed Star, are you okay", Exelirus's voice called out to her.
Speed Star then let out a breath before saying with a cold voice void of any and all emotions, "Go home Exelirus".
"But…" Exelirus words were cut short by Speed Star turning him with gaze cold and firm gaze, one he had never seen come from her before.
"I said go home, now Exelirus", she spoke, her voice low and heavy.
Exelirus seeing the icy look in her eyes just let out a breath before racing away at supersonic speed with a blue trail of kinetrix energy behind him.
Once Exelirus was gone, Speed Star let out tired sigh recalling, after so many years, why she chose to isolate herself from every one and just be Speed Star, the hero Hilltop need. As a hero, the city and its people came first, and she allow to blind and overcome with emotions otherwise…
An image of a bleeding police man then flashed in her head.
