Chapter 45 - The Adventures of Mrs Swift

A fire broke out in the middle of the city in an apartment complex filled with people. Mrs Swift was quick to the scene, dashing through the city streets only to be greeted by the horrific sight of a burn building with people yelling and screaming for their from inside, fire fighters trying their absolute best to put down the raging flames and get to the people while bystanders simply watched with fear and terror in their eyes.

Mrs Swift wasting no time, rushed to one of the fire fighters, holding a fire hose and trying to dowse away the raging flames with water.

"How many people are still inside", she asked, urgency laced in her voice.

"About 40 or so residence", said the fire fight.

"Got it", she spoke, before rushing at supersonic speeds. Racing straight in to the blazing building, through raging flames to find each and every single one of the residence trapped within the burning building.

"Alright, I think that's everyone", Mrs Swift put down the last person she managed save from the burning building.

A woman, one of the people, Mrs Swift managed to save from the building then rushed to her.

"My son please, Johnny, he still in there. Please save him", she begged and pleaded with tears streaming down her eyes.

Mrs Swift, upon hearing the woman, just flashed a reassuring smile at her and said, "Don't worry ma'am, I'll get you him out",

Mrs Swift then rushed in to the blazing building once more, dashing through the intense flames while searching for the woman's child.

"Johnny", she cried out through the raging flames as she searched for him. Racing through every single apartment in the complex.

"Johnny", she yelled as she coughed due to the thick smoke emanating from the flames.

The roof above her then began to collapse, luckily, she was quick enough to get out of the way in time before it could collapse on top of her.

Cough profusely and feeling the intense heat of them flames that surround, Mrs Swift continued to yell out, "Johnny", as loud as burning lungs would allow.

"Please help save me", a soft tender voice cried back.

Mrs Swift upon hearing the voice, wasted no time in race straight towards the direction is came from. There she found him, little Johnny, his back against the wall, surround by flames, holding a stuffed teddy bear with tears and terror in his eyes.

Mrs Swift then raced straight to him.

"Hey little guy. Your name's Johnny right", she spoke in a soft and tender voice as she wiped his tears.

The boy sniffling as he looked her just nodded his head.

"Alright, I'm going to get you out of here. Everything is going to be okay", said Mrs Swift spoke, her tone soft and gentle, calming and putting the boy's frightened little heart at ease.

A massive boom then echoed through the raging flames, causing the boy to hold on to Mrs Swift as tight as his small hands could hold never daring to let go.

Mrs Swift, felling the scared and trembling little boy on her arms, hold on to him.

"It's going to be okay. I'll get you out of here", she spoke with calm gentle voice as she embraced the child on her arms and then carried him away. Dashing through the flames at immense speeds only for her path the blocked by pieces of burning debris breaking off and flaming from the roof of the building.

"I'm scared, I just want to see my mommy", the boy cried in her arms.

Mrs Swift, hearing the boy's cries, darted her eyes around, in search of a possible way out. Her eyes then landed on a small glass window not too far away from them.

"It'll be okay, I'll take you to go see mommy. You just need to close your eyes and hold on tight. Do you understand little guy", she spoke with warm smile on her face, reassuring the boy that everything was going to be alright and she was going to take him to mommy.

The boy then held on to Mrs Swift as tight as could and then shut his eyes. Mrs Swift took in a deep breath and dashed straight for the window at speed sonic speeds. Crashing through it while her body to protect the child from the impact, and then proceeded to fall massive complex.

"Keep your eyes shut okay", she spoke while holding on to boy and then to proceeded to running down the side of the building all the way back down to the ground below.

"Johnny", the mother wasted no time in darting straight to her son.

"Mommy", the boy yelled backed as he left Mrs Swift's arms and rushed straight to her. The both then embraced each other in a tight and loving embrace.

One of the fire fighters then walked up to her

"I can't believe it, you actually did it. You saved all of them. You're a real hero", said the fire fight causing Mrs Swift to just flash a smile at the fire fighter.

They then heard sounds of police sirens headed their way.

Mrs Swift then let out a tire sigh before saying, "That must be chief Steven on his way to try and lock me up again".

"It's alright, you can go. The boys and I will take care of the fire and make sure everyone is taken care of", said the fire fighter.

"Thanks", said Mrs Swift before racing away with her super speed before the cops arrived.
