Sun Wukong's stubbornness flared up instantly as he channeled all his strength into his Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod. With a quick flash, he narrowly dodged the earth-yellow light sphere from the Earth Qilin and swung his rod fiercely at it.

A layer of earth-yellow hemispherical protective shield rose from the Earth Qilin, blocking the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod. Sun Wukong's full-force strike didn't even graze half of Earth Qilin's scale armor.
"What an insanely strong defense!"
Sun Wukong was shocked and tongue-tied. No wonder Tian Lin had told him to run instead of fighting. With such strong defense from the Earth Qilin, his attacks couldn't even break its protective shield. There's no way he could harm it, so why fight at all?
