Chapter 45 - CHAPTER 45: SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS IN THE PAST

The sun dipped low over the horizon, casting long shadows through the ancient trees of the forest. Anomalous and the Phenomenon Six were preparing to leave when a figure stepped out from the gnarled branches, halting their advance.

"Hello there! Jamten Wolfect, it's nice to see you and your royal Guard Six again, my boy." The man shouted, a wide smile stretching across his face.

Anomalous froze, his heart racing. Memories flooded back like a tidal wave, threatening to drown him. But he quickly regained his composure, the weight of centuries pressing upon his shoulders. He and his companions dropped to their knees, a mixture of reverence and confusion swirling within them.

"Lord Shadow Lightning! It's nice to see you again as well. But need I remind you, my name is no longer Jamten Wolfect. It is Anomalous, and they are the Phenomenon Six." His voice held a blend of authority and defiance—a declaration of his transformation over the centuries.

Shadow Lightning chuckled, his eyes sparkling with nostalgia. "That's right! I forgot you were betrayed and stripped of your name. I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me."

Anomalous's heart sank at the mention of betrayal. "But I was needed elsewhere as well, so I didn't get the chance to help you," Shadow Lightning continued, his tone shifting to one that revealed a sadness weighing heavy on his heart.

"No, my lord! I don't blame you, but if I may, why are you here?" Anomalous asked, confusion etched on his face.

"Oh right, I almost forgot. I want you to tell me, what happened seven hundred and eighteen years ago?" Shadow Lightning asked, his expression serious. "I already know what happened, but I want to hear it from your point of view."

Anomalous took a deep breath, the memories flooding back like a river unleashed from its dam. "I cannot believe it has been seven hundred years since that fateful day," he finally spoke, his voice steady despite the turmoil within. "I watched as my own son—my blood—turned against me. Lord Shadow Lightning, do you remember the day when we first met?" Anomalous asked with a sigh.

"Yes, I remember! It was right after the Five Great Kingdoms signed a peace treaty," Shadow Lightning replied.

That's where it all began—with ambition, a desire for power that clouded my son's judgment.

"Wait! Before you continue, the rest of this needs to be told like a story," Shadow Lightning said, winking at the readers.

Seven Hundred Years Ago

In a time long past, when battles were fought with swords and magic, the Kingdom of Blast was ruled by King Tita Blastmon; the Kingdom of Beastkind was led by King Jude Beaston; the Kingdom of Novelist was governed by King Dragon Eye Cronextis; the Kingdom of Wolfect was under the care of King Jamten Wolfect; and the Kingdom of Grasslands was overseen by King Koman E-Mete.

All five of them were embroiled in a ceaseless war. It was an era marked by bloodshed, betrayal, and ambition. The five kingdoms fought fiercely, their boundaries shifting like the tides, each seeking dominance over the others.

But in the midst of this chaos, the Five Kings—each noble in their own right—came together to broker a peace treaty. It was a desperate attempt to end the suffering that had plagued their lands for generations.

At first, they were all hesitant to sign, their hearts burdened by centuries of conflict. But as they gathered in the sacred glade of Tranquility, a stunning realization dawned upon them; perhaps unity was the key to survival.

A day was set for the signing, and the atmosphere was electrifying. The glade was adorned with vibrant flowers, and the air was thick with anticipation. As the treaty was forged, laughter and celebration echoed through the glades. The Five Kings raised their goblets, toasting to a future free of bloodshed.

Yet, just beyond the horizon, darkness lurked.

The Sinister Plot

Far to the north stood a stronghold known as the Home, where the high council members plotted their next move. Inside, the air was thick with tension when suddenly someone burst through the door. It was none other than the high Enforcer Dracula.

"My Lords! I bring you news; it would appear that the five great kingdoms have signed a peace treaty," Dracula announced, kneeling before them.

"I see, this is an interesting turn of events," said one of the council members, a man named Patrick, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

"Wait! Did you say five? What about the Kingdom of Lightmit?" another council member, a woman named Tana, asked.

"They have chosen to remain neutral," Dracula replied with a sneer.

"Well, this was unexpected. But not unplanned for; we should move forward with phase two." A third council member, a woman named Natly, grinned wickedly. "We shall subjugate the kingdom and take control. I believe we should start with the Kingdom of Wolfect."

"Dear sister, are you sure we should start there?" a council member named Jake questioned. "What I mean by that is this: Jamten Wolfect has already turned us down."

"Oh, Jake! Don't worry about that; we've already made contingencies for his defiance. All we need to do is take him out and place a new king—one who would be subservient to us—in his place. I was thinking his son, Jamtoe," Roland, another council member, suggested.

"That's right! He is young, naive, and ambitious, which makes him easy to manipulate. Soon, all the kingdoms will fall under our control," Natly said, her face twisted in a smug smile.

The council members erupted in laughter, their sinister plans unfolding like a spider weaving its web.

As Days turned into weeks, and the kingdoms began to prosper. Trade routes opened, and alliances strengthened. But in the shadows, the council members plotted, their sinister intentions lurking just beneath the surface.

ButAs King Jamten of the Wolfect kingdom had been enjoying the peace that came with newfound prosperity. One evening, feeling a rare sense of freedom, he decided to take a ride through the moonlit woods, his loyal guards by his side. The night was serene, the chirping of crickets a soothing melody, but as they ventured deeper into the forest, an unsettling feeling washed over him.

Suddenly, twelve ominous figures dress in red cloak stepped into the path, blocking their way. The moonlight glinted off their hoods, revealing nothing but shadows.

"Greetings gentlemen, would you mind stepping aside so me and my men may pass?" Jamten asked, his voice calm yet laced with authority.

"Certainly, my good man," one of the cloaked figures replied, his voice smooth and chilling. "But before we do so, I have a question for you. Tell me, are you the king of the Wolfect kingdom? Are you King Jamten Wolfect?" One of the red cloak men asked. Then he introduced himself as (Jasper le buveur de sang).

Jamten's heart raced; the knowledge of his identity by these strangers sent a shiver down his spine. He chose silence, his instincts telling him that no good would come from revealing himself further. His guards instinctively reached for their swords, the tension thickening like fog around them.

"No answer, I guess, I can take your silence as a yes then."Jasper continued, the leader of the red-cloaked men said, his voice dripping with malice

In an instant, the tranquility of the night shattered as Jasper and his men lunged forward, their intentions clear. A fierce battle erupted, swords clashing against swords, the air filled with the sounds of grunts and the metallic scent of blood. Jamten fought valiantly, his experience in combat shining through.

but the sheer number of attackers overwhelmed his guards, and As they all fell.

He noticed all twelve, of his attackers were unharmed so he started laughing hysterically out loud.

"I get it now, you are no ordinary assassins you are vampire's, that would explain why none of you have a scratch on you. Jamten said.

"Well now I'm surprised you know that. what gave us away, was it the red Cloaks are the fast healing. Jasper asked with a sneer.

"No it was Your name, le buveur de sang. It's french for the blood drinker. However Don't go thinking, you have the advantage because you are vampires." You attacked me on the night of a full moon and that will not end well for you. Jamten said with a smile then transform into a black and red were wolf.
