Chapter 20 - Chapter 19

Casey could see his tears dripping on the will. He silently wiped his tears and gave the will back the lawyer for him to see. After receiving the will Mr.Waltz gave Casey some papers to sign to finalize the inheritance.

Once Casey was done signing the papers he would inherit everytbing officially. A while after signing the papers did reality finally hit Cassy. Sunny really died and she's not coming back.

Casey said his goodbyes to the lawyer and walked him out to the door. Once the lawyer was out Casey ran towards sunnys room with the key in hand. He was eager to know what she had left him that was so important that she needed to hide it away.

Casey searched around her room and finally in the closet he found a vault. It wasn't a huge vault but it also wasn't small. He was curious how she managed to hide it from him for so long. He would always use her closet as a hiding spot when he was younger while playing hide and seek with Kevin.

Casey quickly used the key to open the vault. He saw two books. One looked like a diary while the other one looked like a plain ordinary leather covered book. He took out the one that looked like a diary first and started reading through it.

"I never thought I would start a diary but after this dream I had, I knew I needed to have it. Casey if you're reading this I'm probably dead. Everything you will read here is real even if it seems unbelievable. If you see another book next to this Diary that means you were chosen, if not then just end it here and read the diary. That book you may or may not see next to the diary is very important, you mustn't take it lightly. Read this diary first before touching the book. If you can see a faint glow after touching it, it means you were chosen. I can only hope you were chosen then you would have a stronger chance of surviving. I love you so much and I'm happy that I got to become your family."

Casey could feel himself starting to cry again. He had promised himself he wouldn't cry after the kidnapping incident yet today all he found himself doing is crying.

Casey continue reading the Diary. He stopped crying pretty quickly and instead found himself getting angry. He believed everything Sunny wrote because he knows Sunny doesn't lie.

Finding out where she originally is from, what happened to her school, and essentially who killed her. He wishes he could get revenge for her but it was impossible on earth. He was secretly happy that she came to earth instead of another place. Without Sunny Casey would've still been on the steets probably dead or dying alone and Casey loathes being left alone and the dark.

He can't imagine how Sunny must've felt coming to a strange place alone and then having to take care of a 3 year old alone. Casey felt that if he was in Sunnts position he wouldn't have been able to do half the things she did. She managed to save her life, her friends, colleagues, and students lives.

The part about what happened to Sunnys family really hurt Casey. He keeps thinking that if it were Sunny he wouldn't have been able to kill her. Then again they were in two different worlds with different rules.

At the end of the Diary Sunny left instructions for Casey. "If you're reading this that means you've read the whole diary. Hopefully you believe me, but I believe you will. Immediately burn this book and throw the ashes down the sink. Just know I will always love you and be by your side. Forever and always."

Casey looked in the vault and there was a lighter in the corner. He took the lighter and followed Sunnys instructions.

Once he was done he went towards the vault and got the book.

The book faintly glowed upon his touch. After a while it returned to normal. If Casey didn't believe her before, now her definitely does.
