Raymond laughed and said: "You're back, George. Congratulations on your triumphant return."
Ignoring Raymond's gesture for an embrace, George sat on the bench and replied, "A ragtag band of survivors isn't worth mentioning. Still, the end of the war of conquest is indeed a good thing—the Inquisitor Legion can finally return home."
His wandering gaze returned to Raymond, who still stood there with open arms, a bright smile on his face, his eyes gleaming with determination. Not only that, but Gallaron also remained in place, wearing the same smile as he looked at George. Raphael, too, was silently smiling, his gaze filled with expectation.
Being stared at by the three of them made George's skin crawl. He cursed under his breath, stood up, and spread his arms as though he were a suffering Christ.
"Welcome home, my brother." Raymond patted him twice on the back, and the Four Angels concluded their welcome ceremony for George.
