The Second Anglo-Dutch War occurred in 1665, and the Netherlands, having bitterly resolved to recover, successfully defeated England.
The Third Anglo-Dutch War was in 1672. This time, it wasn't England seeking revenge with a spirit of endurance, but France who took the initiative to invade the Netherlands, causing a year of disaster for the Dutch.
