Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Final Battle - The Might of Hell Suppression

"Isn't this a big move?" Chen Mo was a bit puzzled. He knew that Nalan Yanran had a powerful technique called "Wind Extreme—Falling Sun Shine," which she had used against Xiao Yan in the novel.

Could it be that she hasn't mastered it yet?

While Chen Mo was momentarily confused, several green wind blades were already upon him.

Chen Mo's expression changed slightly, and he quickly raised his spear to defend.

With several consecutive slashes, he barely managed to fend off all the wind blades.

But the force of the wind blades pushed Chen Mo back several steps.

It wasn't over yet. Just as Chen Mo thought he could catch his breath, Nalan Yanran unleashed another skill.

"Thousand Wind Strikes."

At this moment, Chen Mo realized that Nalan Yanran had chained these two Dou Techniques together.

Chen Mo was forced to retreat repeatedly, his Dou Qi barrier being sliced into crisscrossing patterns by the wind blades.

Just when he thought he could finally take a breather, Nalan Yanran, taking advantage of her superior speed, suddenly appeared in front of Chen Mo.

Her five fingers clenched into a fist, and a pale green Dou Qi surged onto it. Before Chen Mo could react, she landed a heavy punch on his chest.

Chen Mo's figure was sent flying like a ball, hurtling through the air.

You might think this would be the end, but no, it's just the beginning.

Nalan Yanran quickly flashed forward. Before Chen Mo even hit the ground, she appeared behind him again.

She delivered another heavy punch.

Chen Mo was sent flying in the opposite direction once more.

This repeated several times, and just when Nalan Yanran thought Chen Mo had no strength left to resist and was about to knock him out of the arena, Chen Mo suddenly grabbed her wrist with his left hand.

"Now it's my turn." Chen Mo's swollen face broke into a slightly ridiculous grin. "Giant Elephant Power."

His right hand formed a fist and struck with full force.

As his punch was about to land, he hesitated momentarily, noticing a certain prominent feature on Nalan Yanran. Adjusting his aim, he pulled her wrist to his left side and punched upward, landing a solid blow on her back.

"Phew, almost ruined that beautiful scenery."

The terrifying force sent Nalan Yanran flying like a kite with a broken string, her delicate figure soaring into the sky.

In the shocked gazes of the crowd, Chen Mo stomped the ground, leaping into the air with his spear blazing in purple flames. He brought the spear down on Nalan Yanran's graceful figure like a hammer.

The pale green Dou Qi barrier surrounding her shattered like foam on impact.

Her figure plummeted from the sky like a falling star.

"Chen Mo really doesn't know how to cherish beauty," one disciple remarked.

"How could he be so rough with such a beautiful Senior Sister Nalan?" another chimed in.

"This is just too violent!"

Some disciples in the crowd began to voice their disapproval, as if Chen Mo had committed an unforgivable crime.

"Maybe I did go a bit too far," Chen Mo mused, feeling conflicted.

However, just as he was pondering whether he had overstepped, Nalan Yanran's figure, which had been falling like a meteor, suddenly floated gently just half a meter from the ground. She landed lightly, completely unharmed.

The disciples who had been criticizing Chen Mo moments before breathed a sigh of relief.

Nalan Yanran frowned slightly, looking at the now unhandsome Chen Mo with a cold expression. "You held back."

This annoyed Nalan Yanran. She hadn't held back against Chen Mo and didn't expect him to hold back against her.

"This is for my future happiness. How could I not hold back?" Chen Mo thought to himself, choosing not to respond to Nalan Yanran's comment.

Instead, he held his spear in one hand and made a beckoning gesture with the other, as if challenging her.

This blatant provocation infuriated the disciples who secretly admired Nalan Yanran.

"That's just asking for a beating!"

Even Yun Yun, who had been worried about Chen Mo, felt a sudden urge to smack him after seeing his smug expression.

Nalan Yanran stared at Chen Mo with a blank expression for a long moment before finally moving.

She slowly untied the green ribbon that held her long black hair in place. With a casual toss, her hair cascaded down like a waterfall, reaching her waist.

As the sun set, bathed in the glow of the setting sun, her actions seemed to signal the end of the battle.

"Is Senior Sister Nalan getting serious now?" Yun Hai remarked, recognizing the familiar stance.

"Is Yanran really planning to use that move against Chen Mo?" Yun Yun was surprised. Just the other day, she had guided Nalan Yanran on this Dou Technique, helping her overcome its flaws.

"She's going to reveal her trump card? That kid may have talent, but he's far from worthy of facing that move," Gu He commented, believing that Nalan Yanran could easily defeat Chen Mo even without it.

Fa ma and the others around them, hearing the murmurs, exchanged puzzled looks, unsure of what exactly they were discussing.

In the center of the square, as Nalan Yanran's hair fell freely, her eyes slowly closed. When she reopened them, her hair began to move on its own, floating in the air.

Without any visible force, she began to levitate.

The energy around her surged violently, and rings of pale green ripples continuously spread out from her body.

Finally, she lowered her sword, pointing it diagonally at Chen Mo. At that moment, the setting sun's light converged onto her sword.

In the blink of an eye, the sword shone brightly, glowing like a fiery red sun.

She looked at Chen Mo, her red lips parted slightly. "As you wish."

Indeed, Nalan Yanran had interpreted Chen Mo's response as him asking her not to hold back.

So she skipped the intermediate moves and went straight to her ultimate attack.

"Wind Extreme—Falling Sun Shine."

With a powerful shout, Nalan Yanran unleashed the energy gathered on her sword. A sword aura, powerful enough to incinerate everything in its path, descended from the sky, aiming directly at Chen Mo.

"So it's the final move of Wind Extreme," Fama and the others finally realized, exclaiming, "We didn't expect her to have mastered this technique already."

Mo Li was shocked, finally understanding the vast gap between himself and Nalan Yanran. It also clarified why she had always been so distant with him.

His determination only grew stronger.

Yun Hai gulped. "Chen Mo is in serious trouble."

Chen Mo stared at the sword aura that covered half the square, feeling a sense of awe. Seeing it in person was far more impressive than reading about it in the novel.

Would his final trump card be enough to withstand this?

There was no choice. For the sake of the mission, he had to risk it.

Gritting his teeth, Chen Mo pulled out a bottle containing the Amethyst Source and downed it all in one go. The already blazing purple flames around him flared even higher.

"Thunder Giant Elephant."

With a low growl, Chen Mo gathered all his energy into the Spear of the Underworld. As the spear began to tremble, almost slipping from his grip, he hurled it toward the sky.

A deep rumble echoed as a gigantic ancient elephant, wreathed in purple flames, materialized on the spear. Accompanied by roaring thunder, it stomped through an endless hell, where demons screamed and gods raged.

This was the Hell Suppression technique that Chen Mo had nearly mastered on that day in the mountains.

Now, he was finally beginning to grasp its true power.
