Chapter 4 - Strange dreams

Prince Lenard just returned to the palace from an important business outside and strides in majestic steps to his chambers, his personal guard like a shadow until he entered his chambers to freshen up.

He didn't like being attended to by a servant, not when he has hands to clean himself.

He took of his large outer coat and undressed deflty while entering the inner chamber where a hot bath had been prepared beforehand for him.

He slowly soaked himself in his bath, allowing warm water to ease his tension and calm him while he slowly drifted to a thought that has been stuck in his mind ever since he laid his eyes on that maid.

He thought of those beautiful blue eyes that looks oddly familiar to what has haunted his dreams for two years.

Not understanding how it was possible, he thought of her odd dark skin and everything he could remember about her and compared it to the strangely dark entity in his dreams or what he would call nightmares sometimes.

Yes, he has been having strange dreams about a woman, which he considered a witch because of her darkness and evil that radiates from her that makes every nerve in his body tingle even after he opens his eyes.

But he never remembers anything when he wakes up, no detail at all. The only thing that he remembers afterwards is a strangely dark yet beautiful blue eyes.

And if two years is not enough for him to recognise it when he sees it, then he doesn't deserve his title as the smart and venerable crown prince.

He sighed, feeling exhausted after thinking so much, the water had already gone lukewarm.

"Gideon" he called

Gideon arrived swiftly like he's been waiting for that call and bowed

"Look into that maid from today"

Gideon was taken aback, his master never bothered with any servant personally, but he didn't show it.

"Yes sire".

He left swiftly, leaving Lenard alone with his thoughts once again.

...

The next day, Leila woke up before the first beams of light filled the sky.

She went about her daily routine of cleaning the backyard of the palace.

Her favourite work was attending to the flowers and plants as she always felt connected to nature.

She hummed in a very low tuned as she moved about, oblivious to the arrival of someone behind her.

The guy that approached was of medium height, dark brown eyes and brown hair.

"Miss Leila"

He called stiffly.

She was startled and turned around abruptly causing her to almost fall on the bushes behind her, but she was swiftly caught by firm hands and steadied.
