Chapter 499 - Chapter 499: The Rebellious Seven-Tails

Time flies, and the years pass quickly.

In no time, it was May of Konoha Year 71.

Over the past year, besides teaching Sasuke, Naruto, and the others on the moon, Shishou had been continuously collecting chakra from all over the ninja world.

Tailed Beast chakra, the power of the Dragon Vein, and chakra collected by the various ninja villages were all sent to the Genesis Space.

As Naruto and Sasuke's abilities grew stronger under his guidance, Shishou began to wonder if it was time to awaken their Six Paths potential and send them on their way.

At the same time, he continued training Tenten, Ino, and the others.

Following the Moon Palace's Konoha Year 71 disciple selection tournament, new faces joined the Moon Palace.

The winners of this round were Tenten, Temari, Deidara, and another favored candidate.

Apart from the Five Great Ninja Villages, Takigakure also participated in the chakra collection, earning a spot in the Moon Palace.

The representative from Takigakure was none other than the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, Fu, who had a close relationship with Shishou.

Even with four new members, Shishou's daytime teaching was leisurely, as his clones handled most of the work.

The only busy time was at night when he had to rest.

Of course, Shishou didn't spend all his time on the moon.

He frequently traveled to the ninja world under the pretense of sect missions, inspecting his various industries and breeding bases, while also training Ino, Hinata, and Hana Inuzuka, enhancing their abilities.

His Uchiha clones and the Sage animal breeding in the Three Great Sage Lands also progressed steadily, advancing his plan for universal Six Paths awakening.

Occasionally, he would visit the underworld to check its operations and gather chakra to accelerate the Divine Tree's fruit-bearing.

Meanwhile, as Tsunade, Mikoto, and the others focused on their Sage training in the Genesis Space, they visited the ninja world less frequently.

Most of the time, Shishou would meet them while transporting chakra and help them awaken their Uchiha bloodline or attempt to activate their Mangekyo Sharingan.

Thus, time passed busily with chakra collection, teaching, and inspecting ninja world industries.

Until one night, Fu informed him that the Seven-Tails was unwilling to cooperate with her Sage training.

For Jinchuriki like Fu, if their Tailed Beast didn't cooperate, they could only rely on the feedback mechanism of shadow clones for training.

Shishou found this puzzling.

He had spent years training Fu to become a perfect Jinchuriki, and she had a good relationship with the Seven-Tails Chomei, even achieving partial transformation.

Now, with the Seven-Tails suddenly refusing to cooperate, there had to be another reason.

Entering Fu's room, Shishou placed his hand on her abdomen, entering her inner consciousness space.

Seeing the large insect within, Shishou asked, "Seven-Tails, why won't you cooperate with Fu's Sage training?"

The Seven-Tails lifted its head and said sorrowfully, "Every time I accumulate some chakra, you come and take it. I feel like there's no point in living. Just kill me."

Since Tailed Beasts revive after death, the Seven-Tails viewed it as going to sleep.

Hearing this, Shishou raised an eyebrow.

In his efforts to accelerate the Divine Tree's fruit-bearing, he had been extracting chakra from the Nine Tailed Beasts every few months, leaving them perpetually weakened.

For chakra-based lifeforms like the Tailed Beasts, lacking chakra was quite unpleasant.

This meant he had been pushing them too hard, leading to the Seven-Tails' unwillingness to cooperate.

If the Seven-Tails felt this way, the other Tailed Beasts likely felt the same, just hadn't shown it yet.

Shishou realized he needed to give the Tailed Beasts some incentives to ensure their continued cooperation.

After some thought, he said, "Seven-Tails, you know that the Nine Tailed Beasts originally came from the Ten-Tails, right?"

The Seven-Tails nodded, aware of this fact.

Shishou continued, "The Otsutsuki clan is now targeting the ninja world, intending to merge you Tailed Beasts back into the Ten-Tails to plant the Divine Tree."

"I'm extracting your chakra frequently to fight against the Otsutsuki clan."

"You wouldn't want to be merged back into the Ten-Tails with the other Tailed Beasts, would you?"

The Seven-Tails fell silent.

Being merged into the Ten-Tails would mean it might never come out again.

Shishou continued, "Don't worry, it's just for a few years. Once this period is over, I won't disturb you anymore."

Once he consumed the Divine Tree's fruit and became a Bloodline Collector, he planned to head into space to confront the Otsutsuki clan.

"You promise?"

The Seven-Tails grumbled, then began releasing its Tailed Beast chakra, indicating its willingness to cooperate.

"Of course," Shishou nodded, leaving the Seven-Tails' consciousness space.

Withdrawing his hand from Fu's abdomen, Shishou stood up and said, "It's done."

He then prepared to leave Fu's room to talk to Shukaku and Kurama within Naruto and Gaara, to prevent any further rebellion.

However, as he took a couple of steps, Fu blocked his way.

Fu closed the door and leaned against it, looking at Shishou:

"Since you're in my room, you won't be leaving tonight."

Over the years, seeing Shishou's relationships with Kurotsuchi, Temari, Tenten, and the others grow closer, Fu had become anxious, fearing Shishou didn't see her the same way.

Now, seizing the opportunity, Fu decided to take the initiative.

Moreover, the Seven-Tails had secretly told her some things about Shishou.

This only increased Fu's admiration for Shishou, making her determined to win his heart no matter what.

Seeing Fu's demeanor, Shishou understood her intentions.

Gently touching her cheek, Shishou smiled:

"Think it through. Once you decide, there's no going back."

"Enough talking."

Fu locked the door and turned off the lights, leaping into Shishou's arms and kissing him fervently.

Shishou was the first man she liked, strong and handsome, and she was ready to commit for life.

As for the other women in his life, Fu didn't mind.

In her view, with Shishou's immense strength, one woman could never be enough.

Seeing Fu's determination, Shishou didn't hesitate, carrying her petite form to the bed.

Fu clung to him like an octopus, awkwardly but eagerly trying to please him.
