Nick Fury sat alone in his office atop the rebuilt Triskelion, one eye scanning the numerous holographic reports flashing around him. Global energy spikes. Cosmic disturbances. Massive elemental flux near Earth's atmosphere.
All traced back to one name.
A soft tap interrupted the silence.
Not on the door.On the window.
Fury turned slowly, one brow raised.
Outside, above the Atlantic skyline, hovering like a myth made real—Aiden Blake floated calmly in the air, arms crossed, a faint trail of silver-blue magic crackling at his boots.
He knocked again.Tap. Tap. Tap.
Fury groaned and waved the window open remotely."You ever heard of a front door, kid?"
Aiden floated in, his boots touching the floor with a soft hum."Thought this would be quicker. You looked busy."
"Busy dealing with the fallout from whatever the hell you just did in low orbit," Fury snapped, standing. "You lit up the sky like it was the Fourth of July! Half of our satellites glitched out, the other half are still picking up residual sunspots!"
Aiden raised a hand. "Yeah, yeah, chaos, panic, public disturbance—I know. That was me."
"Damn right it was."
Fury walked around his desk, voice sharp. "We had two Quinjet patrols nearly crash trying to identify whatever 'Alpha' thing you were fighting! And the giant cosmic girl swinging her hand like a tennis racket over Europe? You trying to give the planet a collective heart attack?"
Aiden simply nodded through the whole rant, bored. When Fury finally paused, waiting for a response, Aiden reached into his cloak and tossed a thick folder onto the desk.
Thud.
"You're gonna want to read that."
Fury narrowed his eye and opened the folder. Names. IDs. Audio transcripts. Photographs. Classified tags from Level 9 and above.
Hydra.
S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel. Senators. Ambassadors. Directors.
"The hell is this…" Fury muttered.
The more he read, the more the fire in his eye dulled. "You're bullshitting."
He hit the comm. "Hill. Get in here. Bring the decryption kit."
A moment later, Maria Hill stepped in, calm as always. "Director?"
"Run full checks on every name in this folder. Start with the Pentagon-linked ones. We'll see what sticks."
Aiden stood and walked toward the window again. "Oh—before I forget."
He flicked something from his fingers. A flash drive spun in the air before landing neatly on the desk.
"That one's from Red Skull himself. Password embedded. Hydra's master key."
Fury grabbed it, face grim. "Where did you get this?"
Aiden didn't answer. He just looked at Fury with the faintest smirk."S.H.I.E.L.D.'s too compromised to keep pretending it's clean. You've been infected so long, you don't even know what healthy looks like anymore."
Fury narrowed his eye. "You saying we shut down? Walk away? Let them win?"
Aiden turned halfway, gaze sharp. "No… I'm saying I don't feel like pretending anymore. Everyone on that list?"
His tone dropped—cold, final, predatory."Utter trash. Murderers. Manipulators. Every last one of them has blood on their hands. Some are too rich to touch, others too clever to catch. But me?"
He grinned, dragon-fanged."I'm not here to catch. I'm here to judge."
Fury slammed his hand on the desk. "You can't do that! This isn't a damn dictatorship, Blake!"
Aiden walked to the edge of the open window.
"I know. That's why I'm not asking."
And with that—he stepped off the ledge.
A flash of light. A surge of fire. And he vanished into the sky.
Leaving behind a stunned Fury, a silent Maria Hill, and the heavy truth sitting on the desk—Hydra was no longer hiding.
And now?
They were being hunted.
...
BREAKING NEWS:
"...we're getting live footage from multiple locations—New York, Los Angeles, Paris, even Dubai…""We warn our viewers, the following images are graphic in nature…"
The screen flashed red. Blood. Screams. Bodies slumped over in high-rise offices. A Senator combusted into ash mid-speech. A tycoon dissolved into particles while boarding his private jet. A federal judge choked on shadows in a courtroom before vanishing into nothing.
The footage wasn't taken from satellites or drones. No—they came from Aiden himself. Each execution was clean, absolute, and recorded without a word spoken.
The world reeled.
"These...these were high-level government officials!""Aiden Blake has gone rogue!""He calls himself a hero, yet he acts like a tyrant—"
Within hours, the U.S. President declared a state of emergency, flanked by military advisors and trembling staffers.
"Effective immediately, Aiden Blake is considered a global threat. Public Enemy #1. All defense sectors are to prioritize containment and suppression of this individual. He is not above the law!"
Threats came in from across the globe—NATO command issued a warning. The UN gathered in emergency session. Tech billionaires offered bounties. Talk shows branded him a "Dragon Tyrant."
And then, right when the hysteria peaked—All the screens went black.
Phones. TVs. Laptops. Billboards. Even Times Square.
Hijacked.
The message came not from Aiden—but from someone far scarier in her own way.Valeria Richards.
Her voice echoed digitally, calm but laced with fury."You want the truth? You're getting it. Every device. Every screen. Everyone watching—listen up."
A torrent of footage, files, videos, voice logs, biometric scans came pouring in. Detailed evidence. Thousands of hours of surveillance data.
A Senator handing briefcases to Red Skull.A Supreme Court judge kneeling to Zola. The Vice President of the United States, dressed in Hydra regalia, bowing before the corpse-pale face of Red Skull. Watching the creation of Alpha in a grotesque lab buried beneath the Atlantic.
"He's beautiful," the VP whispered in the footage. "The world will kneel."
Then came the final blow.
Footage of the Alpha Battle.Aiden in the upper atmosphere, forming a sun in his hand. Alpha devouring energy. The Earth trembling under their clash.Valeria's voice returned.
"Had Aiden not acted, this creature—your leaders' weapon—would have devoured the planet. You call him a threat? He saved you."
And just like that—The world changed.
The President tried to double down.
"Yes, yes—we understand the situation... but Blake acted without authorization. We cannot condone"
But it was too late.
The streets flooded with protestors.
Signs that read:
"HE SAVED US.""EXPOSE THEM ALL.""AIDEN WAS RIGHT."
Public polls flipped overnight.Over 80% of Americans supported Aiden's actions by dawn.#ThankYouAiden trended globally.Hydra cells were hunted down by civilians.
The old power structures began to crumble.
Later that evening…
The ruins of the old S.H.I.E.L.D. safehouse echoed quietly.Nick Fury stood by the broken window, a cigar burning low in his hand as he watched the protests below—people cheering Aiden's name.
Behind him, the man himself floated down from the sky, cloak rippling, calm as ever.
"You happy now?" Fury muttered without turning.
Aiden smirked, walking beside him to peer down at the chaos unfolding. "Yes, quite happy. What about you? Are you happy?"
Fury turned his one eye to the Dragon God. "You mean... happy to see a S.H.I.E.L.D. that actually wants to save the world?"
A beat.
Fury sighed, a breath long and tired.
"Heck of a chaos you made."
Aiden grinned, the sun gleaming behind him.
"Well…" he said, sparks of fire and magic flickering from his shoulders,"…chaos is part of the world… and it's fun."
