The thousands of pigmen had built camps right outside. There was a large flat land outside the wooden building; Damian had kept it such when he built the giant steel golem.
Heather, along with his family and some high-ranking pigmen, were given a room inside the wooden building. After asking how everyone was doing, Damian gathered all of them outside the building. Standing in a circle, the second-ranker pigmen soldiers had crowded behind them. All in all, there were some 34,000. Around 60% of those were not from the pigmen city. They were the ones who had been rescued by Damian after the darkness inside of them was pulled out by the demon lord. Damian sensed not a tinge of that guy's malevolent mana from them—it was safe to assume they were clear of that thing.
