Red's POV
"I still can't believe Carmen did that to her," Leo muttered, his voice low but brimming with fury as he clenched his fists tightly on the table. His eyes flicked toward the hallway Destiny had disappeared into, and I could feel the storm brewing inside him.
"She didn't deserve any of that."
I nodded, my jaw tightening. "Yeah... I wanted to kill Carmen when I found out. The thought of Destiny going through all that pain—alone, humiliated, abandoned—it makes my blood boil."
There was a moment of silence between us, heavy and raw. The kind that doesn't need to be filled with noise because the emotions speak loud enough on their own.
"She's stronger than we'll ever understand," I continued quietly. "Most people would've crumbled, but she didn't. She picked herself up. She built a life, even if it was far from perfect. She laughed, she worked, she loved... despite everything."
