Chapter 418 - Chapter 418: Hero Creation in Progress (Bonus Chapter 1)

William said to Sunday, "Sunday, share the information about Valentine and his plans with Catherine and Garris. I'm going to get some drinks and snacks."

Then he turned to Catherine and Garris. "What would you like to drink? Any snacks?"

"Water, no need for food, thank you," Catherine replied.

But Garris immediately perked up at the mention of drinks. "I want that top-shelf whiskey from last time. Don't try to pass off any cheap stuff. As for snacks, anything will do as long as it's edible."

A few minutes later, William returned with a bottle of whiskey, a bottle of mineral water, and a few sandwiches.

He handed the mineral water to Catherine, who remarked sarcastically, "Kona salt spring water, huh? A $400 bottle of water? You're really living large."

"That expensive?" William paused as he was opening the whiskey, surprised. "Are you sure it's $400 a bottle?"

"Of course. I've heard this water is famous for its slimming and skin-improving benefits. It's especially popular among women. Didn't you know?" Catherine explained.

Shaking his head, William sighed. "Only a spendthrift woman would buy this. It was Abigail who recommended it to my mother. I wondered why she insisted on this particular water. Now I get it."

But after a moment's thought, he shrugged it off. "Forget it, it's just a few thousand dollars a day." He handed the bag with sandwiches to Garris. "Have you two gone over everything?"

"Yes. Are you sure it's Richmond Valentine controlling Arthur from Kingsman?" Catherine asked.

"Absolutely. I'm 100% sure. Valentine's secretary and his other close associates all have the same scar behind their ears as Arthur," William replied. No sooner had he finished speaking, Sunday displayed holograms of Valentine's close associates, all of whom had scars behind their ears.

Seeing that dozens of people shared the same scar as Arthur, and knowing that Valentine was a radical environmentalist whose rhetoric had been extreme since his time as a university professor, Catherine and Garris no longer had any doubts.

"How do you plan to take out Valentine's cargo planes and ships?" Catherine asked.

William thought for a moment. "I'm still working on the details, but I'm confident about the planes. As for the ships, I'll have to play it by ear."

Garris suggested, "Why don't we just kill Valentine outright? Overcomplicating things might lead to unexpected issues, and if we slip up, a lot of people could die. William, compared to social stability, making money is secondary." He turned to Catherine. "What do you think, Catherine?"

"Killing him outright would certainly be ideal, but Valentine is not only a major American tech tycoon and a billionaire, he's also a famous philanthropist. If we kill him without solid evidence, the backlash against us would be overwhelming."

Garris scoffed. "Philanthropist? He's nothing more than a fraud using environmental concerns as a front to gather like-minded radicals."

Catherine and Garris both agreed with his assessment. William thought for a moment and said, "Give me some time to try it my way. Killing Valentine will require careful planning and the right opportunity. If it becomes impossible, I'll take him out myself."

Considering William's previous methods and the potential profits involved, Catherine couldn't help but feel intrigued. "Fine, give it a shot. As for the perpetrators of those brutal cases, I'll leave them to you. If you need help, Garris and I are at your disposal."

However, she added a warning. "Remember, William, I'm going to create a special task force under the guise of safety. If at any point I feel you can't handle the situation, I'll personally eliminate those five criminals and Valentine."

"No problem," William agreed.

After Catherine and Garris left, William found a guest room to sleep in until 7 a.m. The next morning, he joined a surprised Lena and Abigail for breakfast before they both left for work. Once they were gone, William called Wilson and arranged to meet him at a square three kilometers from Knightsbridge.

At 8:30 a.m., William, wearing a mask and baseball cap, met with Wilson, who was dressed similarly, along with his hidden bodyguards.

"Tell your bodyguards to leave. We can't afford any mistakes this time."

"I can't do that," Wilson shrugged. "They won't listen to me on this matter."

"Fine, follow me then." William led Wilson into a nearby shopping mall, and using his mental powers, he managed to shake off Wilson's bodyguards within minutes.

Near a bus stop, William ordered some food from a top-rated Chinese takeout place, then sat at an outdoor table with Wilson. "If anyone asks, just say I reached out to you for advice on etiquette at a banquet. We came here because I love Chinese food and wanted to share it with you."

"No problem," Wilson nodded and took a bite of the food. "This place is actually pretty good."

As they ate and chatted, time passed, and by 9:30 a.m., following Sunday's directions, William led Wilson onto a sightseeing bus. Upon reaching the second level, he noticed Maggie sitting in the middle, with a bag placed beneath her seat.

Chuckling quietly, William led Wilson to the back of the bus and sat down.

As soon as they sat, Wilson whispered nervously, "Dude, you'd better tell me there's something wrong with the watch you gave me, or we're sitting on a powder keg. My watch hasn't stopped vibrating since we got on this bus."

"Relax. The bomb is remote-controlled. My phone can block all signals within a 50-meter radius. Even if you were to pick up the bomb and smash it on the ground, it wouldn't go off. Do you think I'd get on this bus otherwise?"

"Good to know," Wilson breathed a sigh of relief and even seemed excited. "So, what's next?"

"Now we see your acting skills. In a moment, pretend like the wind blew off your mask so people recognize you. Photos, chatting, you know the drill, right?"

"Of course. Since I was 16, I've been doing this kind of thing to improve the royal family's image. Taking pictures and chatting with people is no big deal. But..." Wilson looked around at the other passengers on the open-top bus, unsure. "I don't think many of these people recognize me."

"Hmm?" William glanced around the bus and immediately understood Wilson's point. The passengers weren't speaking English—they sounded Eastern European.

Sighing, William said, "Never mind. Just take off your mask and hat directly."

After three more stops, some new passengers boarded, and Wilson was finally recognized by a group of girls.

Naturally, they wanted pictures and selfies, and when Maggie turned around and saw Wilson on the bus, her excitement was genuine.

However, her excitement was different from the other girls. She was thrilled at the thought of sending a prince to his doom.

As the bus stopped at Knightsbridge, Maggie quickly got off and headed toward her boss.

Climbing onto her boss's motorcycle, Maggie whispered excitedly in his ear, "Wilson is on the bus, and I think William Devonshire is on it too."

"Oh my God, are you sure?" The boss asked, his face lighting up with excitement.
